Is there any program to check battery life like in HP Battery Check ... Because i`m wondering my brand new HTC battery is damaged :/ It loss 10% per hour in standby mode (turned off by button power) and i would like to check it by any software is it right ... TIA
Try PowerGuard.
Thats it BRAND NEW. The battery needs a few Loads and reloads to gets it full capacity.
Acctualy brand new but i have it for one week and i know that this type of Battery don`t need forming because Li-Ion doesn`t have "memory efect" Thats why i`m worrying :/
I get about a day (18 hours), but I have Fring on at all times, I think that's fair usage.
All programs off, flight mode not on, wifi off, 3G on, BT off, push off:
On, awake: 150 to 68 mA (150 mA for 10 secs, then drops)
Sleep (press power button shortly or wait long): 13 mA
Flight mode on:
On, Awake: 143 mA to 68mA (150 mA for 20 secs, then drops to 90, finally down to 68 after 30 s)
Sleep: 53mA to 15mA
Be sure to give it enough time to let it settle in sleep mode. It continues to use up to 70 mA in sleep mode until about 30 seconds into it.

Can you tell me how do you monitor that ?
Hi all just wanted to do a comparison for battery life. I think that the biggest factor is having your display on and what kernal you use. So fill this out please so everyone can know battery life based on rom/kernal combos. :]
Samsung Fascinate
Rom: JTs V.7 DJ05
Kernal: Stupidfast 1.54
% battery remaining: 1
Standby time: 14h10m
Screen time on: 4h12m
Screen brightness setting: Auto
Setcpu: no
Settings: N/A
If you think theres any other factors to add just let me know.
I like the idea. Hopefully it is practical, so many variables. I would suggest streamlining the report a little bit, adding time spent without signal to standby, and changing SetCPU to be Extras: (only list items if you have them), live wallpaper, launcher, setcpu
Also I would add
Most used: Map 13%
Swyped from my i500.04 (bh &1129) using XDA App
Reports:
System: blackhole 2.2nf, jt 11/29 novoodoo
Extras: live wallpaper (Ocean Waves), adw, auto brightness, buzzbox news, accuweather quick, tweetdeck, google voice, goldenstorm Blackish v07 theme
Updates: Gmail (push), tweetdeck (twitter & facebook every 60 minutes), Buzzbox News (wifi every 30 minutes, vzw every 2 hours), Accuweather Quick (Default)
Report 12/3:
Display on: 5:23 (4% battery left)
standby 14:50 (28% without signal)
Most used: display 61%, standby 11%, maps 11%
Report 12/6: (Total 21:07:20)
Display on: 4:37 (8% battery left)
standby: 21:07 (17% w/o signal)
Most used: display 57%, standby 16%, idle 9% (16:30), bluetooth 6%, voice 5% (4 minutes)
Report 12/7 (Total 11:12:43 )
Display on: 5:51:47 (2% battery left)
standby: 11:12 (27% without signal)
Most used: display 69%, voice 8% (0:07:50), standby 8%, system 4%, idle 3% (5:20:56), dolphin HD 3% (0:17:22)
Report 12/8 (Total: 15:44:36)
Display on: 3:56:18 56%, (4% battery left)
standby: 15:44:29 15%, (35% without signal)
Most used: Media server 6% (0:46:30 - ran pandora a while off of speakers), System 4%, Voice 4% (0:2:40)
Thats awsome soba (gets off to try that combo now)
Ill just be stoked when we get froyo in twelve million years.
Froyo has increased battery life on my X by like a good 5 or 6 hours.
I charge my fascinate nearly twice as often

Hey soba would you say that Bh has bettery battery life than JT?
Well note that I am running JT's kernel. In terms of the ROM, of course I am very happy where I am, but not because I believe the battery life is superior. I did run super clean 0.5 no voodoo, but not long enough to make a proper battery life comparison. In fact, I believe comparing different installations to get a handle on battery life or perhaps some practices that might improve it is the intention of the thread.
Samsung Fascinate
Rom: JTs V.7 DJ05 with NexTheme v3.0
Kernal: 1203 Voodoo
% battery remaining: 69%
Time since unplugged (full charge): 12h 26m
Phone Idle: 11h 40m
Display on: 46m
Time without signal: 15%
Most Used: Display - 34%, Cell Standby - 34%, Phone Idle - 22%
I'm using Beautiful Widgets, set to update weather every hour, along with LauncherPro+ set to update Friends widget every hour (Twitter/Facebook). No Live wallpaper, minor gaming (maybe 10 min). Today has been a light usage day as I was busy with other stuff and had less time to play with my phone.
BlackHole 2.4 w/ DJ05, jt 1129 no voodoo:
4 hours, 1 minute display. 24 hours standby. 3% battery left. Just a rough estimate, didn't take formal report. Subjectively same battery life as 2.2 w/ IRC dj05.
Thought we could gather our different setups and compare it to each and another to possibly archieve better battery time and understanding of the different setups.

Not using Juice Defender anymore since wipe flash. Seems OK so far although most of the weekend was on wifi (no sleep).
This run's about to come to an end as I fire up Tunein to catch the hockey game. Love the program but its secondary function is to turn the phone into a heater.

Lots of guys posting ~1 hr/day screen times in here. On the weekend I'm right near my laptop and desktop so not much use. Most of that time is playing Let's Golf 2.
I don't use it a ton during the week either, some personal e-mail and surfing at work or during lunch, some music and maybe gaming on my 15-30 min ride/walk to work and a bit before bed. Music or streaming radio at work pretty often, but doesn't add to screen time (although Tunein burns battery like crazy and Slacker uses a good amount).
I don't have many calls but when I do it's often 1+ hrs with family. In my limited experience talk time is pretty rough on the battery too.
Anyone knows if there is a app which records the signal strength and the cell changes on 2g/3g network? I always have the strong feeling that the battery decreases much faster when having a bad signal or when moving with a car, especially with 3g (since the cell size is smaller). But i didnt find any hard facts ...

I think 1h/d of screen on time is pretty normal.
checking the time, maybe 15min of youtube, reading news and some meganoid/pew pew/poker and one or two phone calls sum up to it and I guess (based on the thread so far) that that's pretty much the average. It seems like it's also a good trade-off between usage and battery life, since the screen is what needs the most power. not that I would not use my phone just to prolong the time till the next charge (well maybe yes, but only when I'm on 10% and got 4-5h until I can charge). With my usage pattern and setup I can easily get 3days out of one charge and I'm pretty happy with it.
3d of course when not flashing any kernel or doing the weekly nandroid full backup (which I recommend^^)
Yeah I hadn't thoroughly looked at the other people's on screen time and I guess your right about the average.
I just feel its different in my case as I use my phone quite a lot throughout the day, as I don't take my laptop with me to school. I'll post my stats after this charge dies.

Oh no doubt. I sit in front of a laptop all day at work as well. If I was still in school and roaming campus all day (and the bars at night lol) I could see putting 2-4 hours on the phone every day easy.

There's another thread which says that the JVE modem helps in prolonging battery. I think I'm going to try it out as clearly the guy above has amazing stats and he's using it so might as well try it.
Here's the thread

Hello, Thank you in advance for your time, This is my issue.
Im having Mediocre Battery life to what i would expect from a note device, Getting 8-12 Hours on a single charge, When i look at the default android Battery stats app I see that "Android OS" is taking up the most battery life, with the following info below it in this instance
-CPU Total: 26m 26s
-Stay awake: 1h 49m 35S
-Data Sent: 127kb
-Data Recieved: 300kb
When i look at Wake Lock Dectector, I have no major wake locks listed, the biggest being Exchange Services with 110 Wakes and 2m 13s of total wake time
When i use Battery Stats plus, here is some general Information i get:
-Battery Usage: Android OS is the highest with
A) 33% of battery usage
B)26m of CPU total
C)2 h 44m of partial Wake lock
-Battery Usage: Its also worth noting Google Services Framework is also listed as using 9% of the battery with 43m 14s of partial wake lock with the followign stats
A) 7m 4 s CPU total
B) 2s CPU Foreground
C) 43m 14s Parital Wakelock
D) 330kb of data sent, and 341 of Data Recieved
E) 12m 7s of Sensor
F) 9 Starts
-Under wake usage, the top listed app is "Google Services Framwork with 43m 14s of Wake
-Under Sensor Storage(which is at 7h 33m) Security storage is listed first with 53m 6s of Usage.
Other Things to know:
-I did not allow Tmobile to Collect Diagnostic
Does anyone else have this issue? or know of a fix?

As anyone has his own usage of the phone, I can only compare to my previous phone which was a Galaxy Note 2 LTE.
Usually, Note 2 was charged to 100% around 10PM then set to plane mode, Alarm triggering on the next morning at 6am.
1st day : => battery loss : 100% to 98%
Then I set plane mode off before going to work.
At the end of the day: battery percentage was around 50%-55%.
Then again, Plane mode on, one night sleep, 6am alarm
2nd day : => plane mode off.
Then I set plane mode off before going to work.
At the end of the day: battery percentage was around 5%.
With the note 3, with the same usage :
1st day : => battery loss : none (100% in the morning)
At the end of the day: batteray percentage around 75%-80%
2nd day : => at the end of the day : battery percentage around 45%-50% !
3rd day : => at the end of the day : battery percentage around 10% !

My Husband and I both have a T Mobile Note 3, He starts off in the Am with 100% after charging through the night from 11pm to 7am. He and I also both have 4g LTE service throughout the whole day- At Work he has his Bluetooth on from 7 am to 8 pm solid, plus normal calls and data consumption- with No auto Sync setting enabled- and then After having WiFi on for about 2-3 Hours when he gets home, He still has at least 75% battery after all of that!!! The lowest the battery has been after that same use 6 days per week, was 66%! And that is with Not charging it at all during the day! Compared to his Note 2 which was regularly at 10% to 20% every night with only an hour of WiFi turned on when he got home and the usual day time uses stated above.
My Note 3 after having Boot Loop issues has been similar- I have about 85-90% left after a day of having WiFi on ALL Day, and making an average of 4 hours of calls- (per day to T Mobile and Samsung). I love this phone- even with my BootLoop Issue!
