Lost back button after 5.0 update - Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Don't know what's going on but after I updated to 5.0 on my Canadian note 3 I lost the back button and my menu button sends me to a search. My menu and back button will work normally with the spen though.
When I flash android kitkat through Odin the buttons work normally again.
Is there a setting I'm not seeing? I've tried searching but only found issues pertaining to note 5

This happened to other Samsung devices too for the screen replacement in android 4.4.2.

It's strange. This is exactly what I did
-Got the phone off kijiji. Was running 5.0. Back button worked fine.
- rooted and installed recovery. Back button worked fine.
- made a full backup of the phone. Back button worked fine.
- installed note 5 port rom. Back button worked fine.
- decided to go back to my backup. Back button stopped working.
- reinstalled note 5 port rom. Back button worked again.
- installed official 5.0 firmware with Odin. Back button won't work.
- installed 4.4.2 official firmware with Odin. Back button worked fine.
- did Ota update to 5.0. Back button stopped working.

Buttons
Hi,
Did you ever find a solution? I have managed to get latin american versions of 5.0 to install and this restored the menu/back button, but at the cost of having severe bloatware or no AWS support.

[Q] Problems with screen and Back, home, menu and something else!!!

Hi guys!
I've just bought a Note3 n9005 in Singapore, starting with ANdroid 4.4.2
At first it worked very well. But after some times I restart, an error appeared immediately after the phone is on "Unfortunately...process phone.android.com has stoppped". I choosed "OK" and it wont come again if I dont restart my phone,
But it's not only all my problems. In fact I had used a fake S-view although it doesnt work with kitkat (It's a gift from Phone store, It was only used to protect the phone like a flip-cover). And a new problem appear: sometimes my phone is in LAG Touchscreen does not work, I try to drag the Notification bar down, I can do it, and then the screen displays the "notification infomation", touching is unresponsive. Home button and 2 touch buttons Back+menu does not work too. It is just solved by turn off the screen using Power button, and turn on it again.
Can someone tell me the reason about my problems? And how to fix them?
Thank you!
P/s:I'm sorry this is my first post so it can contains errors. Tell me please
Please help meeeee
Have you verified that ur phone is genuine. If yes try doing a factory reset or reflash stock 4.4.2 from odin

What did you do exactly? did you root your phone and try to delete some stuff? use touchscreen test for your touchscreen to see
the problem,, you can find them on the play store.
What is your phone build number? last resort is just get the stock firmware and reflash it with odin3.09. search it over the forum.

Yes, do factory reset first. Backup everything from kies since your device is not rooted. will see from there.

If that doesn't fix it, you may have touchscreen issues. Some Note's are affected by this and need replaced.

Touchscreen not working properly after firmware update

I decoded to upgrade from 5.0.1 to 5.1.1...really wish i hadn't.
First off i installed TWRP which went ok, though when i booted to recovery i noticed the touchscreen didn't work right, you had to press a couple of centimetres above the item you wanted to select. I figured it was just a dodgy interface and thought nothing of it
Then flashed this ROM [ROM][N910F][ALEXNDR] ★ COI3 / POF2 ★ DevBase, Multi CSC, Safe De-Bloat - http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4/snapdragon-dev/rom-bob4-devbase-multi-csc-safe-bloat-t3033881 and updated the modem and bootloader to the 5.1.1 versions as per instructions on that thread.
When the phone restarted the touchscreen was still screwed, keypresses register no where near where they should.
At this point i was getting worried so decided to revert back to the stock 5.0.1 i was using. I flashed N910FXXU1BOC5_N910FBTU1BOB2_BTU along with the following BL_N910FXXU1BOB4 and CP_N910FXXU1BOB4.tar modem files using ODIN.
Restarted the phone and the screen is still not working properly
I've no idea what to try now, so figured i ask the experts on XDA
I had similar problems with touchscreen. Try this press *#2663# and you should see the menu I posted on the image. Update the first 2 options you see & reboot. Hit thanks if it helps ??
Thank you so much !!!!! It worked
Glad I could help ?
Thank you so much. My Note 4 was acting weird where only the S-Pen would work properly and touch didn't.
thank you very much, you help me a lot.

This fixed my issue!!! Great solution!
I had a few spots in lower right corner, for example keys bnm on keyboard sometimes weren't recognised. It was really annoying. Now it is working great after this update. Thanks ?

This happened to me to. TWRP is a piece of ****. Utterly unreliable and will give you a feeling of security. When you need it most this bugware **** will foul up, lock up and corrupt. I'v had many issues with this junk.

Wifi and bluetooth problems - Canadian Note 3 SM-N900W8 android 5.0

My buddy got this phone for his gf so that she could use it overseas. The phone was in bad shape when he got it and I was able to to flash a custom rom Phonesis and it seemed to work fine. Out of the blue, the wifi and bluetooth stopped responding. So I now have this phone again and I am about ready to toss it.
I restored to factory using Kies 3.2. When it rebooted, the soft keys did not work. I installed the idlekernal for canadian models using Odin and that fixed that. Soft keys now work. Camera is not working. Wifi will not turn on. If it does, it sees my networks but will not allow it to connect. Bluetooth does the same thing.
I am not sure what I am missing as the phone has been restored twice and I have cleared the cache, reset everything and rebooted.
Does anyone have any recommendations or can recommend a working recovery and rom that will let her use the camera and wifi.
Flash correct stock rom through Odin.

Back button / menu no longer works after rooting

First time rooting my phone, I believe I used the wrong root for my Samsung SM-N900W8. After doing so the back and menu button stopped working (it works if I use the s-pen).
I flashed my phone with stock on odin and the problem still persists.
If anyone can help me
Thanks
UPDATE: Found a solution.
