Disabling Chrome Browser Screws Up Draw Over Other Apps Settings? - X Style (Pure) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is this suppose to happen? I disabled Chrome earlier and when I needed to have apps access to draw over other apps, the selection tick was grayed out. When I enabled Chrome again, things were back to normal. Can somebody test this for me as well? I'm scratching my head as to why this is occurring. I'll provide screenshots.
EDIT: It appears that Chrome isn't the issue. I disabled my other apps while leaving Chrome enabled and it's doing it again. Wtf, is this a stock Marshmallow bug?
EDIT 2: Resetting the app preferences fixes this...but disabling apps again has same results.
EDIT 3: Yep, I just disabled one app (Cloud Print) and the Draw Over Other Apps settings is screwed up. I don't know if I should factory reset or if this is actually a Marshmallow bug.

NFC settings screen freezes, drains battery

I have had my tablet for a few days and just went into the NFC settings screen (More... under the Wireless & Networks section) and add spoon add I click more the settings freezes up and shows a blank black screen then force closes. I also noticed under battery usage NFC is very high and I'm not using it. I am on 4.2.1 and it is rooted. Anyone else have this issue or have any suggestions.

Well it started working now. I went to settings again and it opens just fine. I think it might have been something to do with Google Wallet. The first time I set it up it failed adding cards and I hand't tried NFC yet. Then I had gone back into Wallet later and had it successfully add the cards. The next time I tried the settings afterwards it worked. It is the only NFC related thing I did so that is my best guess if anyone else runs into this.

[Q]Why is Google Now Weather card linking to useless page

when i press the weather card in google now i get this search result. I used to get a page with the weather of the area i am in with a slider that i can use to show hourly forecasts. This happened on both my nexus 4 and 7. i have no idea why since i dont think i change any settings, both gps and location services are on.
Edit: just found out that google now doesnt work right when using desktop mode. i prefer the desktop mode for chrome though, i have a scripted that always request desktop. So is it possible for me to use the aosp browser for google now and not have it link to chrome? google search doesnt give me an option to pick what browser to use like other apps do. The only way i can use something else is to uninstall chrome.

I tried uninstalling all the latest apps and updates for some apps, but I am still not sure what this is. Does anyone know if it's a notification thingy or something? Is it active because of something else?

found this not much but might help http://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/mobile/qgVTOR-a_oc
For anyone else having this problem, I tried clearing my Maps data, and also disabled the location "Scanning always available" in the wifi settings. That thing stopped getting into a wakelock.

Google Services destroying battery life?

Hey guys, so I recently did a hard reset of my phone, and for some reason, my Google Services has been eating battery. Previously it was Google Play services, but I disabled its ability to modify stuff and disabled google now voice recognition, so now it's just Google Services.
Here are some images showing the current issue

If anyone has any ideas, that would be amazing. Thank you!
your best bet is to root your phone and disable a bunch of useless processes that it runs
Sadly, I'm too much of a fan of knox based applications to go ahead and trip it at this point.

[Issue - Oreo] Google Maps keeps entering Picture in Picture mode

Hi, I can't understand why when I'm using maps navigator in full screen mode, randomly, it just shifts to Picture in Picture mode. I do not press home button.
Don't know if it a bug or if it happens to someone else. I think it is pretty annoying.

Something I can do (except totally disable pip)?
:good:
Go to settings- apps- (upper right) special access- pictures in picture. Find maps in the list and turn off allow. YouTube have a switch built into the app itself. GL
