I had same problem with J3 I just used Kies for emergency firmware recovery. After that you'll have lost root so it's harder to root Nov patch so use "other" firmware site download older firmware for rooting from CF Autoroot by Chainfire and you should be okay unless I'm missing somwthing??! Hopefully that helps

Which version of odin are you using?
You might need to get the latest version of either Odin or the Samsung device drivers.

Use Samsung's Smart Switch to restore your phone back to factory. I think it's called Samsung's Smart switch...
What did you do leading up to that? Were you able to write an unsigned image?

Were you able to get this fixed? I'm facing a same issue.
are you using the right version of odin? there is a custom one for the tmobile s7 edge
the special version of odin, along with the root tools are here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-s7-edge/how-to/how-to-root-s7-edge-t3410470
the stock firm you should be using (if you are on tmobile) is here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-s7-edge/how-to/stock-firmware-thread-t3331528

Are you sure your flashing the right rom for your model number? Grand prime has many variants with different chipsets so be sure to check it is compatible with your device

Don't play those things if u can't unbootlop dude! Always do some Research if something goes wrong!
1. Download your firmware from SamMobile (you have to be logged to do it)
2. Download odin
3. Download samsung kies and install it
4. Open odin DO NOT CHANGE ANYTHING IN OPTIONS, click AP choose downloaded firmware file
5. Go to bootloader: Hold POWER + VOLUMEDOWN + HOME until phone reboot and ull see monit, press volume up then
6. Connect device to computer while in bootloader be shure connection works
7. U should see connected on Odin output, click start then
8. Reboot

maybe dude, try to download CF-auto root for your device
Root would be useful if the phone can boot the ROM; otherwise, root would not be useful without a working ROM.

Well first of all, I'm not a pro in these particular situations, but how should I fix this error? My phone wasn't rooted when I got this error. There is no OS in my phone and I cannot install any custom ROM because of this error. ODIN always fails, I tried to install ROM using TWRP, but I get the same error. I read almost every article in this website and tried a lot of methods, but none of these didn't help me. Is there any more way I can fix it?
What point does Odin fail at .Nand Write ??

Almost every time it fails at hidden.img. I tried to fix that renaming "hidden.img" file to "hidden.img.tar", but it doesn't work.

try to unpack your md5 via 7zip or winrar or any other app in pc then remove the hidden.img then repack the others without the hidden.img then flash via odin. sorry for bad english, try to pm me for clearly explaination
what exactly is your model number? ill send you a file and try to flash it
My phone is Samsung Galaxy S6 SM-G920F. I'm a little bit confused now When I have deleted that hidden.img file and flashed the other ones, I get the other odin fail on recovery.img. Did I ruin my efs partition? If I did that, when I somehow boot my phone, will I loose my IMEI and I won't be able to use my wifi and the other stuff? Thank you for help.

Hello
I am having this error in my phone: Failed to mount /efs (invalid argument).
Since then, i cant load any rom and it doesn't go from the Samsung boot logo.
I tryed using combination files, stock roms and nothing seems to do it.
When i use the combination files its stuck with the message "rpmb provisioned"
And i dont have any backup...
Do you have any idea how to fix this?
Phone: Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge: SM-G935F

Keep flashing stock roms from latest to oldest, one should work. As long as you can enter download mode, you are still good. Just keep trying firmwares nougat to marshmallow different releases

Flash issue Hardware or Software? SM-G935F

Hi Guys,
I got a SM-G935F from a friend to repair it.
During the night, the phone got into bottscreen (Samsung) and the blue LED always flashed.
The Phone is on Oreo.
Now I took Odin 3.13 and the last firmware from SamMobile.
I only can flash BL and CP, they passed.
When I will flash AP, it stucks at "System" and after a while it stops with Fail. When it reboots in Recovery, I got error messages, see picture.
Question:
Does the Flash got an hard issue or is it a software bug?
Hope somebody can help...
Pretty sure its a software issue. Try to wipe data and see if that works. If it doesn't work, install TWRP and make a backup then wipe system, data, and cache. Then try to flash the firmware.
try another cable

No chance to install TWRP, cause FRP locked.
Thanks to all,
but I think the eMMC is broken.
no matter what I flashed or tryed no chance to get a complete software on it.
Some of the error commands:
dm-verity verification failed...
e: failed to mount /system (invalid argument)
unable to mount system partition
Available space in system partition is less than 50MB
Im DL-Modus steht:
Current Binary: Samsung Official
System Status: Custom
FRP Lock : On
Secure Download: Enable
Warranty Void: 0
