Hello, I own a priv and I love it. However, I miss the loud bass from my music that I had on my nexus 4 with DSP manager. Is it possible to have something like that with the blackberry?
Did you try the Cyanogen DSP Manager ? I just recently switched from a Z1 with CM12.1 and the DSP Manager was acutally pretty nice. Not sure if it works on the stock priv rom.
I said in my op that I did try dsp. It won't make a difference on the blackberry because it needs specific privileges to modify the audio output which was possible by rooting the phone.

Taken from the Cyanogen mod for Viewsonic G tablet, the DSP manager + associated DSP Manager, will enhance your audio just a little bit.
If its liked and no serious problems found, ill add this to my next Mod update.
attached file should be renamed to "update.zip" and install just like other patches for the FolioMod's.
Let me hear some feedback, both good and bad
i ve just installed it on tntmod 0,4 and it works fine, i was looking for a equalizer and you made this update, thanks it' s a good start, i was using the equalizer of my milestone audio effect and it works good too.

nice, you mean the AudioEffects application? that one i have on my milestone too ill test that one too..
yes that one, i think it's a efficient one with good headphones, thanks Moto
Works for me, not sure if I need it, but will try with a portable speakers setup to see how the headphone output level compares (I think the built-in speakers are very close to junk)

close? you must mean those are junk.. they didnt invest much in sound here
Im gonna check the Moto App, as it was quite ok on milestone and see if external speakers too sound like on my milestone. then its for sure included in next update.
The moto one is definitely the best with headphones with custom mode extra bass and so but with the speakers it s not as efficient as with the milestone speakers
the headset settings has no effect since it seems the folio is just routing the phonespeaker channel to the headset when you plug them in. so basically we just have eq.
is not able to test bluetooth.
The Sound seems to be louder(right word ??) by default...
great!
Motorola S9 seems to work on Blutooth - the difference is clear to hear
Works on my folio.
Bluetooth not tested yet.

On my N7: CM 10.1 and Equalizer the audio is really enhanced and enjoyable - *system wide* so, every app that has an audio output like TuneIn JazzRadio or RockRadio or any "stream audio app"pass through the Equalizer with the correct equalization and bass enhancement.
On my N4: CM 10.1 and Equalizer (so same situation recreated): The audio remain flat.
On N4 (CM10.1), i tested these mods in their respective last versions following carefully the installation process suggested and, as output hw two external boxes from BOSE - Companion 20 and two different BOSE headset over hear and around hear:
--- Awesome Beats: since this mod substitute the CM10.1 built-in DSP Manager do nothing but only with Apollo player so *not system wide* (why only with one selected player?)
--- AC!D Audio mod: it works *system wide* only with a little configuration in Clear Audio App. But the result is poor.
--- Audio Fx: worked only one time with poor results.
My elaborated question is: Anyone is able to get a good audio output? System Wide (equalize only one app is a no sense)? If the answer is yes, what i have to do to gain a good audio on N4?
Sorry for my English

Have a look at this thread it seems to be doing all you ask for for me.

I was just wondering if people could comment on how they are getting the best sound quality on their s5.
I generally find it sounds a bit lifeless on bluetooth in my car compared to my iPhone the same bluetooth with the same songs so i've been looking to tweak it.
From what I can tell there two popular ways to improve it.
Viper4Android ( requires SElinux mode to be set to Permissive)
Extremebeats, also needs V4A to work properly? not entirely sure it does anything different to V4A on its own?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2634729
What I don't get is Extremebeats claims to support clear audio, SRS wow etc, but they are all different technologies, how can it use them all at once?
The V4A profiles don't seem to mention SRS wow etc at all?
What do you guys use?
I used to have oneplus one and i had installed viper as well as audio fx which were great... but now i haven't rooted op5 yet so looking for a good equalizer, audio fx doesn't seems to be working.
There's the built-in one... settings -> sound & vibration -> audio tuner. It only seems to work with headphones though (I haven't tried with BT).
I'm using Viper4ARISE myself, which requires root.

Audio Tuner doesn't work with Bluetooth Headphones, unfortunately.
use powerAmp equalizer you have to pay for it but well worth it
I use player pro and the DSP pack
Search snapdragon musicfx apk, download then install. It works for my 5t + bluetooth headset + spotify

Good day all,
I have come to notice that Bluetooth audio transfered from Apple phones are significantly louder than audio transfered from my OP. Is there anyway to get a louder output via Bluetooth for Android phones?
*Aside from volume boost apps and the built in equalizer on the OP6T.

The only answer I have found is to install Viper Fx and Dolby modules in Magisk then convert Viper to a system app

I will look into trying this, gotta read up on Magisk. Your opinion is it worth it? Or marginal?

You will like the boost Viper gives you. It's worth the effort.
