Is there a way to root a verizon note 3 running nj6 firmware right now? If not how do I downgrade back to 4.4.2? I just accidentally upgraded to 4.4.4 and now I don't know if I can root it or not. Is there also a way to get safestrap on 4.4.4 right now?

I'm sorry. You are stuck with 4.4.4. At this point, there is no way to go back.

No there is no way to root it yet. Just hold on to it for a few more days. Once a rooted ROM comes out, it will open the gates.
Ok thanks for the info
I'm wondering how fast this will happen since developer Hashcode is no longer actively involved in rooting

I'm also wondering how long it will take for there to be a rooting method for 4.4.4
Patience is needed but I expect months of waiting.
That sucks

All I want is https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=eu.chainfire.lumen&hl=en(Cf.lumen) Not sure if that's formatted right, but yeah, I just want a 2700k screen without losing a ton of contrast. It would be MUCH nicer on the eyes.
Does it work?

Now is there a way to root nj6? Or how much longer do we have to wait for a rooting method?

There is no root method as of now, and there is no way of know how long or if there will ever be one.
I don't keep my hopes to high, since the focus of the enablers is on lollipop by now...

Nooo don't say that, somewhere was to be a hero dev, who loves the Note 3 4.4.4 .
?????
It's so sad to known I voluntarily upgrade to NJ6.
(sobs)
I guess I too don't keep my hopes up for getting a root for android 4.4.4 cause I agree all the devs are focusing on android l aka android 5.0

Keeping hope alive.
Mean while I prefer to use my Samsung GT-N7000 (NOTE 1) rooted than the rock with nice pouch called SM-N900V (NOTE 3)
I might just call Verizon & claim my phone is broken so I can get a replacement & see if the replacement phones come with 4.4.2

Its been long time,
Still waiting for official lolipop update,
There is no info about it.
Now I'm thinking to root and wana enjoy the customization in custom roms.
I have some question about safety
Yea I know I will lose warranty,
I did root my last s3 I enjoyed lot.
But in s3 there was way to relock boot loader,
Is its same as s5?
I mean
Q.1 is there any way to get warranty or relock?
Q.2 In case any hardware problem will Samsung service center will detect warranty info or something?
Q.3 I mainly installing custom rom because Im stock lover, is cynogen mod completely work? Also on screen button there?
Have more question but not in mind at that time.
I would be much thank you if you help me..
Thanks in advance..

OTA will fail if your are not completely stock (ROM, recovery, and pre-installed apps) just edit your build.prop and change everything that says OH1 to OK3. That will get rid of the update notification. It's just bug fixes, not an update to 5.1.1
Just wanted to say I did what you said, and bye bye pesty notification.. And it says software is up to date.. Thank you that was awesome..

Don't do it. Please. Don't you see how many people regret these updates? After yelling about it, now they are prisoners of these stupid updates.

you can simply use the OTA updates if it's unrooted
and if you're rooted you can flash bootloader + modem + rom and be done :good:
