My LG d802 phones touch screen has broken. It has been replaced with all new screen. In the same time, I get 5.0.2 v30b update. Now knock on(double tap screen on) is not working. But screen off working well. I updated touch firmware at the hidden menu , I flashed same Rom 5.0.2 v30b and I formated with hard reset. Still not working. Is that a software problem or hardware problem. Should I make root or flash another roms . maybe new screen doesn't support knock on?
I think its because of proximity sensor.

Hello,
I've used this for my LG G2 802
Go on phone call, type 3845#*XXX# XXX is your model, 802, 801, 805.....
After in the hidden menu, go in Settings, Update Touch firmware, wait 5sec because your touchscreen is inactive, lock the phone and the knock on will work.

I did it already . but it didn't fixed
I am having the same issue. I Replaced the screen (actually this is the second time I replaced it. When I replaced it the first time I did not have the problem) and now knock on does not work any more, but knock off does.
I updated the touch firmware and checked if the proximity sensor works fine (in the hidden menu). I also re-installed dorimanx 10.7 and set it to default, but nothing helped. Anyone has an idea what to try next?

A few months back, I broke the digitizer on my AT&T G2, and the bottom 5th of the screen stopped registering touches. Which sucks when you have on screen buttons. I was on CM11 at the time, so thankfully I was able to unlock the screen just fine and use screen rotation (combined with the Rotate app) to do almost everything I needed. One time I even did a wipe and clean install of CM11 and was able to use screen rotation to re-set up my phone to how I needed it.
Today I did a clean wipe and flashed CloudyProII 2.0 onto my phone, assuming I could do a similar set-up. Everything went well until the first screen, which has a next button at the bottom and doesn't rotate. I'm not able to pull down the menu bar, and since this is a clean install, ADB is off, and my google account isn't set up. So I decided to just reboot to recovery and re-flash CM11. Only for some reason the LG G2 button combo to reboot to recovery isn't working (maybe CloudyProII removed my custom recovery?), though the Download Mode combo is (and confirms I'm rooted still).
So now I'm stuck with a phone I can't use, and I'm sure there's an easy solution that will get me up and running again. If anyone can offer any advice, I'd be tremendously grateful!
EDIT: I was able to get into recovery and all is good now! Nevermind!

After bought I upgrade firmware from V20B to V20F using LG Flash Tool 2014. Ater flash new firmware the phone don't respond for touch. When I tried change laungage and touch example english(us) hi select other language, when touch any one of 3 buttons(arrow back, home, 3 lines) hi display: "Unfortunately, the process android.process.acore has stopped" and screen is frozen-no access to any phone settings. Phone is completly crazy: when I touch "back button" the phone select 2 diffrent buttons.
Option Recovery Mode(power button&volume down) are not available. The download option are available-I tried lot of times, again, again flash the firmware(ROM) but with negative result. Also I flash to stock ROM with negative result.
No access to any phone settings.
Any idea for resolve it?

Fastboot mode is not working
Only download mode is there.
Some times i am able to boot into OS but touch is not working properly especially in lower part of screen.
LG service center guys are saying touch screen issue where this happened while flashing kernal
Replacing touch screen is too costly and i am not sure if that fixes kernal issue.

I am also stuck with the same kind of problem.. It surely is a software problem... Device might have forgotten the calibration of touch or whatever... there has to be a way out.. using download mode I flashed the right 32GB rom, but the problem is still there... touch is ceazy... there are so many complaints about the touch on internet, LG should feel the shame and offer a solution

Hi,
I believe flashing correct/original 32Gb model kernal will resolve the issue but normally LG G2 doesn't have direct option to enter fastboot until it is brick. I am waiting for someone from XDA experts to give an idea to enter fastboot or push kernel via download mode into G2.I heard some samsung tool is there but don't know if someone used it.
I have d802, and after I upgrade from 4.4.2 to 5.0.2 suddenly a knock on feature stop working .. I can knock off the phone but no knock on... I try to "update touch firmware" in hidden menu and nothing append,
I try to downgrade to 4.4.2 and still there this option not working!
and black screen in calls..
What should I do?
Help?

Are they working when you restore KK backup (presumably you have one)? Before doing that, test your sensors by downloading any app from Playstore that can do that.
You can also try restoring just sensors you backed up in twrp (uncheck the rest of the stuff)
Try updating touch firmware to get your knockon back
Open dialer menu and type;
5689#*980# (Sprint)
3845#*801# (T-Mobile)
3845#*803# (AT&T Canada)
3845#*802# (International)
3845#*800# (At&T)
3845#*980# (Verizon)
And when hidden menu is showed up, go to "Settings"
and go to "Update Touch Firmware".
The touchscreen won't work until after 5 seconds, Wait for it and if touchscreen gets working, exit the menu.
Lock the phone and try knocking on the screen, It should be working

Hello,
I have a LG G2 LS980 and i have a touch screen dead zone problem. I mentalized i buy a new screen to replacement and now i'm wating the new screen.
The problem is i can't try touch screen firmware update because when i enter at the hidden menu, is incomplete, like the image at the attachment. Doesn't appear the settings to go to the update touch screen firmware.
Any idea?
Solved
I resolve the problem (hidden menu) with a program called Shortcut Master (Pro Version), but the touch screnn firmware update doesn't resolve the problem.
