My Titanium installation doesn't register new installed apps, I think this occurs since last Play Store update...
Another issue is that it doesn't allow to extract from a Nandroid backup. This occurs from a long time ago, I think from KK. Also, I can't protect any backup.
I've tried everything, without solutions.
Anyone else have these issues?
Thanks! :good:
PS: I'm still on KK, UGNG1...

I` am having problems with Titanium backup in regards of unfreezing apps/widgets.
When unfreezing apps/widgets it says it`s done but the app or widget doesn`t show up, not even after a reboot?

as a workaround you can backup the app then uninstall and restore it.

pls explain what to back up?
Titanium Backup PRO
You can defrost all frozen apps using a batch script from Titanium Backup PRO. You can't defrost individual apps, just defrost them all and then, froze what you want. The feature first appeared an week ago. The only bad thing is that this is available only in paid version.
Do a backup of the app, then uninstall it via titanium. reboot phone and restore the app.
same here.
Check out my blog, I'm explaining the unfreezing issues on the Galaxy Note:

I have posted this news a wk ago, one version befor latest version of TB have solved issue already. They have added power defrost specially for Note. Yes now it needs to reboot device after defrosting.
Check your TB is latest.
Hi everyone,
I have been using Titanium Backup for a while now, but something weird has happened today. I did a factory reset of my Nexus 7, and I backed up everything. But when I went to restore everything, I have to tap install for every individual app, which is weird because I never had to do that. You may think it isn't that big of a deal, but I have over 400 apps, so it take quite a while.
Anyways, if anyone has this problem as well, please tell me, or help me try to troubleshoot.
Thanks
it means that you havent installed the pro version/key
I everyone, first I apologize if this is a repeated question.
I have a D802 and running CloudyG3 1.2 for a while, I wated to shift to AOSP roms, Backuped my apps using Ease Backup.
Every time I restore the apps, after the reboot, alot of the apps disappear and cannot be reinstalled. Tried Titanium Backup, Go Backup, Helium. The same problem occures.
Any help please.
I have no solutions but I'm suffering from the exact same problem and found this thread by searching. The true test will be to see if apps installed from the play store will remain after a reboot. If not, then something is definitely not right and I'll need to claim warranty or something.
It's definitely not ROM related as this has happened on multiple ROMs for me.
Hi guys, my Titanium Backup 6.2.0.3 has backed up 80 apps on android KitKat. Everything was allright back then, all backups were verified. So i tried Lollipop yesterday, and i tried to restore those apps. Nope, it just hang. TB was allright, i tried to change everything in settings, every mode etc. but it just didnt work. Nothing. So i flashed SuperSU 2.40, as some people talked about it on the forum (i had Ressurection Remix, last version). Nothing. I changed my ROM, now i have Vanir. TB restores DATA, but just data. It can not restore any app, even without the data. The android installer method works (user installation of apk + TB restore of data) but doing that to 80 apps? Seriously?
I solved it, I wrote a How-To here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g2/help/how-to-restore-kitkat-apps-titanium-t3005385
So i verified those backup in Lollipop. It says 162 errors. In 80 backups theres 162 errors. I did not do anything with the backups. What's the problem? Why is it corrupted? I don't get it.
So i went back to KitKat and guess what? All backups are confirmed as allright, i can restore them and everything.
I found a solution to this.

batch restore
Some apps are not compatible with Lollipop, so when you do a batch restore using TB, take note of apps that breaks the batch restore process and exclude them in the next batch restore attempt. Or else it will keep breaking the restore process. I have used TB on Lollipop successfully.
Thank you very much.

That was not the problem. On the ROM's thread more people complained about the problem, some people even suggested using Helium instead. However, I found a solution that restored ALL apps without any problem from the backups created by Titanium Backup.
Here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3005385
No need to do all that. The problem is with Lollipop denying permissions from apps to modify folders and files. Just enter SuperSu and in Settings, under Security, find "Mount namespace separation" and untick it. Then restart your phone and Titanium Backup should be able to back up and restore again.
I've used Titanium Backup successfully on various phones, including my One Plus Two.
But last night I noticed that when I made a backup any app, it looked like all was working, but no backup was made (and no error message).
So I decided to re-install the app. But when I try to uninstall it, the phone immediately reboots. I've never had this problem with any app before, so I'm wondering if anyone can help me resolve it.

What ROM are you on, custom or stock? Obviously you are rooted, what SuperSU? Do you have busybox installed? It works fine for me.
