I've used Titanium Backup successfully on various phones, including my One Plus Two.
But last night I noticed that when I made a backup any app, it looked like all was working, but no backup was made (and no error message).
So I decided to re-install the app. But when I try to uninstall it, the phone immediately reboots. I've never had this problem with any app before, so I'm wondering if anyone can help me resolve it.

What ROM are you on, custom or stock? Obviously you are rooted, what SuperSU? Do you have busybox installed? It works fine for me.

Anyone else go into the app screen on manage applications and see all the data flashing and the buttons too. I have to exit and go back in several times to get a stable screen to be able to the clear data or cache
Any particular app, or all of them? Are you using Titanium, or running a custom ROM?
I've never seen this until last week. I flashed the Virtuous Unity ROM, then tried to restore ChompSMS via Titanium Backup. Chomp SMS kept giving me force closes. Going to that app in Manage Applications gave me flashing, non-responsive buttons like you described. Hitting the Back button, and selecting the app again, made the buttons behave normally. Restoring Chomp using Titanium kept giving me the same result, whether I restored with app data or not. Just uninstalling the app, and installing the original APK fixed the problem. Not sure if the Titanium backup data was somehow corrupted, or what. But it seems fine now, and I haven't noticed this issue with any other apps (including ones restored from Titanium).
If the app is not one where you need to keep the data, just uninstall the program and re-install, and see if that helps.
EDIT: I see from your other posts, that you are also on Unity. So perhaps its some bug or incompatibility in the ROM? It would help if you mentioned things like running a custom ROM, when asking about an issue.

Its a known issue with unity. I believe the sensation has exactly the same problem with the stock rom
I` am having problems with Titanium backup in regards of unfreezing apps/widgets.
When unfreezing apps/widgets it says it`s done but the app or widget doesn`t show up, not even after a reboot?
Anybody else having the same problem and how did you solve it.
i have the same problem even i went back to the older version...
This is a problem for everyone...
Not only for you.
There was an apdate to solve this problem by forcing the process in the batch menĂ¹... but the last time i had some problem with this option...

as a workaround you can backup the app then uninstall and restore it.

pls explain what to back up?
Titanium Backup PRO
You can defrost all frozen apps using a batch script from Titanium Backup PRO. You can't defrost individual apps, just defrost them all and then, froze what you want. The feature first appeared an week ago. The only bad thing is that this is available only in paid version.
Do a backup of the app, then uninstall it via titanium. reboot phone and restore the app.
same here.
Check out my blog, I'm explaining the unfreezing issues on the Galaxy Note:
http://ramdroid.wordpress.com/2012/01/16/app-quarantine-solves-ebm-policy-issues-on-galaxy-note/
I have posted this news a wk ago, one version befor latest version of TB have solved issue already. They have added power defrost specially for Note. Yes now it needs to reboot device after defrosting.
Check your TB is latest.
Hi everyone,
I have been using Titanium Backup for a while now, but something weird has happened today. I did a factory reset of my Nexus 7, and I backed up everything. But when I went to restore everything, I have to tap install for every individual app, which is weird because I never had to do that. You may think it isn't that big of a deal, but I have over 400 apps, so it take quite a while.
Anyways, if anyone has this problem as well, please tell me, or help me try to troubleshoot.
Thanks
it means that you havent installed the pro version/key
Hello
Note 3, AP:N9005XXUENE3, CP:N9005XXEUNE3, CSC:N9005XSAENE1.
Bought it with rooting in mind, and figured they have been around a while so most problems I might encounter would already have been solved.
Rooted it with Odin, no problems.
Installed Root Explorer, Titanium Backup, Xposed and Wanam, Greenify and Adaway.
Tried a few customizations and all was good, spent time with google before doing anything.
When I installed Titanium, backed up everything including system.
Then I decided I needed a Nandroid backup before i did anything silly.
So I've gone with CWM, and after checking on a couple of sites, used 6.0.4.7.tar.
Installed using Odin, no problems, made a backup straight away.
After reboot all seemed ok until . . .lol.
First thing I found was gallery was not able to show pictures, found them in Root Explorer and they opened ok.
Then opened Titanium where the backup was and it just stuck on 'processing app data' , after I granted su permission.
Had to restart phone to stop it, tried reinstall , same thing.
Tried to use the Nandroid backup to recover , but same issues.
Guess I did something wrong.
Any ideas much appreciated.
Thanks

Twrp is recommended as it's in active development.
Last night, I decided to update my unlocked and rooted 2017U from Marshmallow to Nougat. Before I made the move, I've done a full backup from Titanium backup, just like what I've done for so many times before flushing a new ROM. Everything went smoothly. After the initial setup, I wanted to use TB to restore most of my apps. Then the nightmare starts, from the "restore missing apps with data", I have 0 apps. From the Backup/Restore tap, I have hundreds of crossed over files at the bottom (image was attached). I've never had issues like this before. Anybody have idea how to fix this? Thanks.

This is the error I got when using two different versions of TB
I don't think I have a different version of TB.. 8.0.0.1 is the version I have... How did you "fix" the error?
I just took the correct APP. But I also found out, that when you install the missing app, you will be able to restore the setting. And these are the most important, aren't they? ?
Sorry I can't do any more ?

Thanks for all the help. Unfortunately, most of restore doesn't work very well. Apps will be forced stop. It feels like the marshmallow data is not compatible with nougat's. By the way, I've tried two different builds already, all with the same problem. Damn, hate to say that, but It's time to go back to marshmallow.

I doubt this is the reason, I went from mm to n with tibu backups working fine, restored like it should and no fc or anything.
I hear you, I've done many restores using TB. This is the first time I am having problem like this. It's so weird.
