The YouTube app on my 6p isn't marking videos as watched or adding them to my history.
I've wiped data etc but still no good.
I think it's specific to either the 6p or marshmallow because my nexus 4 with 5.1.1 works fine.
My YouTube app is version: 10.43.60 and I'm on mdb08m.
Anyone seeing similar behaviour?
Factory reset fixed it.
Mods feel free to close / delete
Thanks

Is anyone else not able to view video content using the new version? My fiance is having the same issue as me. SparksCo's Stable v1.1 is the ROM I'm on.

Some vidoes are not available on mobile for Youtube...other then that no I haven't had that issue and watch quite a few videos on Youtube, almost daily AAMOF.
This happened to me on an ICS rom; Youtube updated and videos would "load" forever, never playing.
Eventually, I uninstalled Youtube via the Market, then re-installed and re-updated. Now it works fine.
If it's a youtube update issue just report it from the market either through the market comments or if there's a developer contact info. Normally I just report it with market comments.
I hope no one associated this issue with the ROM I'm running. The YouTube app is running perfectly now. Also, in a previous thread I mentioned a problem that I was having with my FN key acting weird; I fixed that as well.

Hello
I just installed Dish Anywhere App and my Nexus keeps crashing when its trying to play a show. I am able to log into my account and view my channels and dvr shows. But when I click on watch it loads then crashes. I uninstalled and re installed and its doing the same thing. Anyone using this app on their Nexus 5? No issue on my ipad. Thanks
Nevermind. I had to go back to Dalvik from ART. Its working now.
Yeah works for me. I had a problem at first because I used the app backed up from my Nexus 7. The N5 doesn't like to think like a tablet. I uninstalled and loaded from Play Store and all is well. Haven't tried ART, probably won't. On Purity ROM/Franco Kernel.
I have searched the web, no one seems to have this problem?
So since the new gallery app, I think it came with Android 5. Whenever I download an image, from web or from Google drive it is blurred in the gallery, it is also blurred when I load it up full screen.
I have disabled 'Auto Enhance' I am not sure what this does but thought it could be the problem, this has made no difference. I have to edit every picture I download from my google drive, and enhance the 'deatil' option and 'sharpening' to fix each one. I don't want to be doing this as this is no doubt a drop in quality.
I also experience this problem on my Nexus 7 same android version. However my Nexus 10 does not seem to be doing the same, or if it is it is a lot less apparent. maybe just due to the higher resolution and screen size.
Any help would be appreciated....
Has no one got any ideas on this? I could post it in nexus 10 and 7 threads to, but don't really want to spam the forum.

Did you try to do wipe data and cache of this new gallery as well as the hidden folder /sdcard/DCIM/.thumbnails?
If that didn't work for you, you could try KitKat's gallery app or a completely different one ( see Play Store)
Happy new year, by the way
Yup, having this same problem with my Nexus 4 running Android 5.0.1
Screen captures are also blurry and pictures transferred from computer to phone are same.
Any solution would be helpful
same problem
I used to have the same problem in 5.0 . I even confirmed with quick pic and some other gallery. Ever since i updated to 5.0.1 problem seems to be resolved. Still searching for a good gallery app. The apps i for from play store are way too slow.
Hey,
I have a Note 4 N910W8 and I am on YouTube version 10.02.3, and I can only see up to 720p. I have tried many fixes on XDA, like clearing data, downgrading versions, and none of these have worked. Has anyone found a way to fix this w/o a root?
Thanks
Im not rooted. What worked for me: sign out of youtube, go to file manager, force stop youtube, clear cache, clear data, restart youtube, sign in.

Also didn't work for me
Try do to it few times. Make sure that video you try to watch has 1080 and 1440 resolutions available. Preferable open video in full screen and check if 1440 is in your menu. Try with and without wifi.

Guys try this:
Clear cache/data/uninstall/reboot/redownload from playstore.
It worked on my non-rooted Note Edge

You are correct in saying that you cannot fully uninstall YouTube when non-rotted BUT you must uninstall the UPDATE and return it to 'stock YouTube'. The below instructions will work:
1. Clear Cache
2. Clear Data
3. Uninstall YouTube UPDATE (Non-Rooted devices will uninstall YouTube UPDATE only so that the 'stock' YouTube app is returned to factory default - The Stock app will remain installed which is fine)
4. Reboot Your Device
5. Redownload YouTube from the Playstore (It will say something like INSTALL UPDATE)
6. Open YouTube and search for 1440 videos etc and go to Quality Settings and 1440p will be available.
7. Enjoy
These instructions if followed correctly will 100% work. :good:
No, they won't ... still plays up to 720...

Still on 720p
Any other fix my youtube is still showing 720p videos ? also am on stock youtube
Hey guys, so I installed 5.0.1 through Kies onto my n910g and for some reason, Facebook Messenger videos freeze when I try to play them.
Sometimes it'll play a few seconds of it before freezing and saying "Something went wrong" or with a LOT of luck, it'll play the entire thing.
Has anyone had this issue and/or knows of a fix?
I've completely wiped everything and reinstalled the firmware with no success...
same issue
I to am unable to play videos sent to me on messenger.i am using the s6 and any videos Sent through messenger play for 3 seconds then an error occurs.tried everything to get it wheeling but nothing.
Same thing
I have the same issue on s6 aswell, please help someone!
This sounds like an app problem. Go to the app's page on Play store and send an email to the developer. If every one of you did it, then they'll know it's an issue present on different devices, so (if they care) they'll look into the issue.
