It seems that I have rarely coming issue that WiFi doesn't work on Lollipop. I tried several different versions including yours - the picture is the same: "Turning WiFi on" - and it lasts forever. I saw some feedbacks from people who has the same issue but no working solution. Very sad because other feedbacks are OK. Very strange. Maybe you have some ideas regarding that?
Hmm... Strange. I reflashed new rom and it seems to be working! I'l test.
But nevertheless I've found some workaround maybe it will help somehow for someone:
This behavior (endless Turning WiFi on message) is an issue in CM.
So either boot without SD card inserted or Unmount sdcard (Settings > Storage) and reboot system whenever wifi has troubles.
Upd: ahh, sh... No, it still doesn't work. Just connected to wifi once, on the first boot. And then - the same. Tried to unmount sd - but it didn't help. SD unmounted but when rebooted - it mounted again and wifi doesn't switch on

OK, I'm very tired of other 4.x SLLLLLOOOOOWWWWWW ROMs and installed this one. Yes, it really smooth on the first glance, thank you. The only big issue as I understand applied to some models (including mine ) - not working WiFi with SD card installed. Sad but true. The only workaround (can be added to FAQ for example):
If WiFi stucks on "WiFi is starting..." message then:
- Unmount and remove SD card
- Reboot
- Turn WiFi on, connect to network
- insert SD card back.
So it works.

You are lucky that you can run your phone, I can't pass pin confirmation process because of (com.android.phone) crash It's obvious that we need fix.
P. S. I have talked with one of the developers, they don't have their 8800 Pro's anymore so they can't check their new builds for bugs. Geno don't have much time for this, hope that it will be fixed in near future It's sad that the best developers don't have anymore that phones for witch been working, logical that they are not interested in this device like before.

these are 5 easy steps how i got it working on my phone:
before you start backup all your data (phonebook etc) because this is a clean install and everything will be wiped!
1) go to recovery menu. do a factory reset/data wipe. goto mounts & storage and format system. wipe dalvik cache (i don't know if this is necesary).
2) install the update-cm-7.2.0-RC0-u8800pro-Geno-120202.zip from sd card. restart phone.
3) install root explorer or similar. replace phone.apk with older version (i replaced with phone.apk from 20120107-cm-7.1.0-u8800pro-Geno-en.zip). you will get an FC. reboot your phone.
4) change permissions in root explorer for the phone.apk like this: owner->read/write, group->read, other->read.
5) reboot phone and enjoy

i think you can replace the phone.apk with older version in the update-cm-7.2.0-RC0-u8800pro-Geno-120202.zip before flashing. it is much easier.

New version with fix works ok with no bugs till now Little notice that I didn't find market application on this rom so I had to install it manually.

Yeah i came from last november cyano rom and it's all perfectly functional! Only one thing, yesterday accelerometer didn't work, and photocamera too, but a simple restart and now all good!

P.S. I have installed two times this rom because first one any opening keyboard throw an exception.

This began always, using Cyanogen, and using Miui... and now I can't back to de original rom, but the factory reset don't fix the problem :S

Try without sd card, if not help try to roll-back to 512 official ROM from the pink screen and dload directory , must to work.

Android says that it is A500, but there are options for mobile connections, pretty weird.
Another thing, data connections - there are no apn's, so I decided to enter it manually, but after saving settings list is still empty. After reboot - same thing.
Then .......... I recovered another A501 (thanks to a friend of mine) and I have installed your rom.
The 3g works perfectly.
The GPS no, that's why I wrote in private (PM)

Yes, I did. Twice. Once with mine old 20130301 gapps I downloaded month ago, and then this one (apparently the same).
And.. I can remove and insert sim card without any notification on screen.

For me 3G is not working it cant even find any network. And for me also home button does nothing and cant open web browser ;p

After few reboots home and browser started to work bus still no network or 3g.
In Attached log I've went into airplane mode that turned it off and started GPS status.

OK, so basically you did a dirty flash on top of a stock ROM. Try doing all wipes them flash the ROM. Currently, the settings don't show a radio baseband, and errors when detecting network.
My internet is down, so will post dmesg when its back up.
For you others, please attach a dmesg

Ok, with the new JB, you will need some new Google adb files for your PC, otherwise you cannot run the adb commands due to Google's new security. You can get a small package here for Windows PC. Just put them in a folder on your PC. (also, seems like the old command may not work with the new adb)

You can do this through the Terminal App on the tablet.
1. Start Terminal Emulator
2. Type su (you should get some type of $ sign then)
3. Then type dmesg >/mnt/sdcard/dmesg.txt (or what ever you want to name it)
This creates it on your internal SD, then use a file explorer to copy it out.
Usually, I can't see the txt file when I move it to Ext SD, so I pull my card and get it from PC.

EDIT: Also, that USB Issue I told you about, seems to not be in this build. Considering 3g shares USB, I didn't get a reboot with flash sticks, so a step in the right direction.
When going to Settings/More/Mobile Networks, when selecting Access Point Names, Settings closes out back to the default Settings Page.
Logcat attached.
Looks like according to the logcat, it shells out because it can't find the radio. Also saw some info immediately above like LTE CDMA stuff. This makes sense as in the Settings About Phone, it doesn't have the radio baseband listed.
On a lesser priority, copying a file from my 1tb NTFS to the internal memory works great.
However, you cannot write back to the drive. VOLD?

Thanks, so that explains the 3g.
You have the TegraOwners build.prop. which probably means there were left-over files from the rom you were running before. I kind of suspected this.
So basically, what you have now, is a mix of the 2 roms.
Remember, before flashing any new rom
1. In CWM Wipe menu
a. Data/factory reset
b. Wipe cache
c. Wipe Dalvak Cache
2. In Mounts and Storage
a. Format System
b. Format Flexrom
Then install rom. I'll bet if you do that, you won't have 3g afterwards.

I'm sorry to contradict you but I can guarantee that I have done all the steps you have listed perhaps exception of flexrom (can not remember, more no than yes).
With Rom TegraOwners for me 3g never worked, that's why I did not use for a long time (see signature in the latest version that I used some time ago) ...
But I knew the secret.
After trying the 3g working, I tried the GPS did not work and then I installed the fix found on TegraOwners (http://forum.tegraowners.com/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=1046&start=2220 # p33410) here who has rewrote the build.prop
Hi, I recently updated my Charm to CM7 and I thought I should share with you guys.
1. First of all your device should be rooted with SuperOneClick or any other method (if you don't know how to do it search on google)
2. Download Flipout System Recovery from the market.
3. Download CM7 ROM here.

5. Put both the CM7 ROM and the Google Apps on the root of the sdcard.
6. Open FlipOut Recovery and select Install Recovery System. Grant it superuser permission. After that select Recovery Boot
7. Wipe data, cache and open Advanced and wipe Dalvik cache
8. Select "install zip from sdcard" - "choose zip from sdcard" - select the CM7 ROM and go to - yes - and wait until finish installation, then use the same procedure to install the Google Apps.
9. Repeat step ''7'' again
10. Reboot and enjoy CM7.
I didn't have any problem(s) doing it so I hope it goes smoothly for you

for the root explorer replace it with this (attachment) but for the FM you have to bear with it.

I've worked some things just do not work properly,
1. In the text message box, when you have text messaging on it, when you hit menu button gives FC.
2. No LED notifications work on haptic buttons, so it is impossible to know if you have received a missed call or text message.
NOTE: As a note I recommend making a backup of "system / etc / motorola / bp_nvm_default" because if not for your country will lose the signal.
Seem like it picks up 3g but doesnt reflect on the status bar also the status bar doesnt update so everything just overlaps. only way to get rid of the overlapping is to hold power button and hit reboot and the status bar will refresh and did notice the messaging app closes when one hits menu.

I created this forum because I had no serious problems on my device, am sorry that it had different effects on our device.
My only problem is the 3g, keyboard doesn't show on screen and am sure there is a problem with the orientation.
For the network problems make sure you backup the network folder before the update.
If you have any problem with the network let me know cause I have a baseband switcher app which am working on, you could try it if you want:thumbup:

- The USB connection isn't working properly. I set the USB connection for Memory Card Access but I don't see it on the PC (W7 Ultimate). The battery is charging when I connect on the PC and I don't show to me any error connecting my MB502 on the PC;
- Do you know how to disable the Backtrack?

Well I figured out that 3g works but you have to change your network preferences to gsm/wcdma (wcdma preferred) also I wouldn't mind trying that baseband switcher app. The only thing that really bugs me is that the notification bar doesn't refresh so as soon as I get a notification it'll just overlap on top of whatever was there and eventually just looks like a mess. anyone know of any settings I can enable/disable as a work around?

Please, forget about the USB connection. My mistake. Now I found the 2nd option on the notification bar to enable the use of the USB storage LOL
So, I just wanted to know how to:
1 - disable the backtrack
2 - modify the look of that bar at right (resize the icons)

It seems my wifi no longer works with WPA2 networks. It works fine with the stock ROM. WPA1 works fine from a hotspot, but its not very secure. Anyone experience the same thing?
Otherwise, its pretty good!

I don't have any issues with bluetooth audio. Connection to my hands-free kit works and calls over my hands-free kit in my car without any problems. Music to my "beats wireless by dr dree" also.

there are missing codes, cause in android settings there isnt an option to choose keyboard.... force close every time.
Just wait, AOSP keyboard is not too bad i think

Sure, but I use 3 languages and swiftkey is able to switch automatically language I use and I mixed in one sentence German and croatian [emoji3] with auto compete. This can't AOSP keyboard...
Btw: sony keyboard also can multiple languages automatically switch
Works good so far.
I have also noticed that changing eq-settings does not affect the sound at all for me. Besides the non working Bluetooth-sound.

impressive, cause for me works fine. only bug with eq-settings is that the effect starts a second after the song starts and than there is a lag in the song to hear....really annoying

Reboot, change your luminosity and re-enable the backlight after lockscreen.

Oh, I have troubles with English too.
I mean after disabling screen by power button when I press power button again backlight won't working. This also happened after rebooting: backlight turns off if you didn't unlock screen in few seconds.
Now I returned to cm11, I'll waiting for a while

had the same problem many times, but i got a workaround:
go to display settings and DSIABLE auto brightness and adaptive backlight. Than do a soft reset (with volume+ and power button) and than you have to regulate your brightness manually but it works
WiFi MAC
Another bug is the WiFi MAC. After update to new build it reverts to something else and WiFi with restricted MACs does not work. I must everytime change the MAC-address in WCNSS_qcom_cfg.ini
Just downloaded the 20.01.2015 nightly. I'm gonna try as soon as possible and report back.
Help needed
Just downloaded the latest nightly. Was on stock Sony fw (although encrypted phone).

Did steps 1-4 (flash boot and reboot). Now the phone does not boot (stuck at Sony logo).
If I try to enter recovery (either volume up or down during boot) all I get is a black screen.
Did try flashing new recovery (http://forum.xda-developers.com/xpe...2-8-4-0-z1-t3002887/post58174682#post58174682)
But still only back screen on boot with volume up or down pressed.
I'm still able to boot into fastboot, but thats all. Any ideas?

If you flash the image then no there shouldnt be any issues. There might be issues with the OTA however. To flash the image go to Android Q image site download the image for your device and then extract it out of the zip. After you do this there is a file called flash-all.bat which you need to edit. Open the file in notepad and go to the last line and in the last line remove the -w (this is so that when you run the script it doesnt wipe your data). After that just boot your device into the bootloader and run flash-all.bat as an administrator (you dont have to but running it as admin avoids any potential UAC issues) wait for all the commands to finish and then reboot your phone. Keep in mind that after you update the first boot will take longer than normal
i installed the beta 3 on my verizon pixel 2 xl which i us in germany.. After the installation i clicked on "add mobile network" in settings.. I think i hard bricked some modem settings now.. As the system now tells me that there is no SIM card inserted, and everytime i click on "add" the following error appears:

This is probably the eSIM manager, but the eSIM is locked network wise?! I don´t know... I obviously checks with some backend as i need wlan data to click "add mobile network".
I can´t get the SIM to work now ... If you update to beta 3 on your 2XL don´t click on "add mobile network"!!!

damn.. Maybe we can get a replacement phone from google (unlocked )
I now charge my old One Plus One (which keeps rebooting currently due to a empty battery) + i just found a sim adapter....

Open up Settings. In the search bar type "carrier". Click the first result which will open carrier settings. You'll see another "Carrier" button. Should make it work when you select your SIM card.

My banking app (Nationwide UK) works as expected, however mine actually worked since the first beta, even though it didn't for the majority of users. Not sure why. As for bugs, nothing major has cropped up since updating.
