My 2013 model got the 6.0 update yesterday. Now it won't maintain the wifi connection for more than a few minutes. I am 10 feet away from the router. It doesn't seem like it reconnects either. I have to toggle the wifi off and then on for it to reconnect. I've never had a problem with any previous Android version. Anyone else experiencing this?
And two Moto X phones, a Windows 10 laptop, and my Nook running CM11 (Kit Kat) don't have this problem, nor did the Nexus on earlier versions.

I can't make sense of this. My phone (dinc2) running jb connects to the wifi no problem, but my nexus refuses to connect. It tries and cycles through authenticating, saved, connecting... But can't make it. My nook color had the same problem.
The router is an apple airport or whatever, and the security is wpa2.
Off topic....how are you running jb on your dinc2?

Because Aeroevan is totally rad and was able to get it running. Still some minor bugs but its been my daily for months
I have my Nexus 7 running Stock 4.1.2 (rooted). At home I have 3 AP's running the same SSID and on Different channels. My Nexus 7 will connect to one of them when I get home, but when I move to another part of the house where the initial signal isn't very strong it does not automatically jump to the closest AP. I have to manually turn of the WiFi and turn it back on.
All my other devices work fine and as expected. These include Laptops (PC and Mac), iPhone(s), iPad, and Blackberry.
Any tips on how to make this work on the Nexus 7? Is this an Android thing? A Nexus thing? Has anyone ever heard of this before?
I run my N7_16G_WIFI stock.
I received the 4.2.2 update over the weekend. Now, though my wifi seems to be connected, and you see upstream/downstream animation in the notification area, play music isn't downloading the download queue, but fails. Websites load, but speedtest app fails to complete the searching for server phase. Installing apps from the play store works, eventually, but Netflix, YouTube, and other medium to high bandwidth apps are not. Even my weather app will only load the weather alert page, yet maps, forecast, etc are unusable.
Will test LAN performance to gauge the extent of the problem, perhaps related to traffic passing through the gateway. No other devices on the network are affected, however. I usually stream files from my DLNA server with no problem, so I can test that tonight.
Has anyone had any issues with flaky WIFI after the update? I had no such issues before.
I've been having constant disconnect/auto reconnect after the update to 4.2.2. No other device on my network is having this issue though.

Dang
My wi-fi was flawless before the update and is just as good after 4.2.2. I sincerely doubt the update caused a problem if it installed correctly. Many posts refer to fixing wi-fi issues by updating/resetting the router. I have a pretty new router with the latest firmware update.

My first thought was it may have been the router as well, but my Nexus has been experiencing constant disconnects on every network I've connected to.

Same here. I expect to have problems in my neighborhood; Urban area and everyone has WiFi. I brought it to work to test on our Meru network, though, and still had the same problem. At work, we are the only building on a 100+acre lot, with saturated WiFi signal. I still had the same issues.
On a factory upgrade, not sure what I could have done incorrectly, since I just tapped "Yes, install" and went to bed.
I am having issues with my Nexus 10, and I think it started with the 4.3 updated, but I can't be 100% sure.
I have a Verizon Wireless JetPack 890L broadband access point, and my Nexus 10 gives me no end of hell with.
It connects, but afterwards, I see the bars moving up and down like crazy, and it constantly drops connections and reconnects. The reason why I say I am not sure how long the problem has been going on is because I originally had my jetpack and someone else's configured in my wireless settings, so when I disconnected from mine, it would reconnect to his, so I never noticed. When I cleared the wifi settings and only had my AP settings, that's when the problem was noticed.
I tried setting it to Channel 11, and that seemed to work fine for 2 hours and then the problem surfaced again with constant drops and reconnects.
When I am at home, the device works on my wireless no problem.
I'm running a stock Nexus 10, that's rooted.
Anyone seeing any wifi connectivity issues with their Nexus 10?
Rollback to 4.2.2 fixed the problem. Obviously 4.3 and this device do not get along.
Just got my Nexus 10, so far I'm liking it. One problem I'm having is connecting to my wifi through my extender I can't get on the internet. It makes the connection to the extender, if I connect to my router it works fine. Only the extender is giving me trouble and I have to connect to the extender to be on the same network as my Chromecast in the bedroom. I'm on latest stock rom KitKat and not rooted (yet).
Got it working, restart extender. Simple fix.
