A non-faqs question about new head unit, hui fei clone - Android Head-Units

So i got this kd-c0250 pumpkin that's a klyde/pumpkin clone if i'm understanding it right
http://www.autopumpkin.com/pumpkin-...s-navigation-system-support-3g-wifi-obd2.html
Very pleased with it, but i'm quite curious as to why there seems to be quite a lot on nand (16gigs in total storage) left on it seamlessly unused judging from the storage screen, i should have taken a picture, will do if needed tommorow.
There seems to be a rooted rom from Malaysk that lets me use 2 gigs for the system, this also seems a bit low on a system with 16 gigs flash, what i'm i missing here?
I've also noticed that there is a new upgrade for my MCU (unit came with KLD2 2.77) up to 2.78, but i'de like to read a changelog to see if there is any meaning or reason to update, i've seen some stories on wheel ocntrols giving out after upgrades and other strange things. Is that to be found somewhere?

Hoping for some help, thanks!

Any kind mod willing to move it ?

Question about screen layout

Hi,
a friend of mine has received as a gift an android radio unit for his car. I'm asking him about but he don't knows brand, model or anything else about it. He just knows it's android 4.4, and as far as I found it's an Ouku head unit.
The fact is that I LOVE its layout (4 big buttons to the most used applications with real time information...) not the background itself.
I'm looking for a similar radio unit, but I don't want to buy without the knowledge that I will get what I want.
Is this screen layout included in all android radio units? Including the 5.x or 6.x or it's a concrete ROM?
I really don't know about android units and sure will have further questions.
Thanks in advance.
Sorry I can't still attach screenshots if I'm not well explained:

Xtrons PA7739BP

Greetings all,
Feeling very let down by Xtrons for not providing a mechanism to upgrade their headunits with releases of Android. Android is an ever improving OS and must be honest I did believe at the time of purchase that I was buying a piece of hardware that could be updated as and when. I found no suggestions this was not the case when I was choosing it and again felt confident that anything that runs Android would be upgradable.
Anyway clearly I was wrong. Xtrons do seem to bring out new units every 15 mins with newer versions of Android. Does anyone know if this unit can be upgraded?
Although I haven't opened the box yet and thus it could go back, can any user tell me if a USB hub can be used to increase the number of cameras connected. I was wondering if I can have a reversing, a rear view and a front view connected.
Many Thanks for any help.

The basics.... where do I start?

So some probably useless information... I have an 'Autoradio' from iceboxauto in the UK. I picked it up 2nd hand but virtually new. It appears to be this:
http://www.iceboxauto.com/ford-focus-2012-android-7-h5712
I've done plenty of digging and worked out it's a PX30, and also mentions ACTIVE-AUTO or something similar. I'm into the Factory settings menu with the usual password - 126.
I would like to upgrade/mess around with the unit but I have a few concerns:
1) How to not brick
2) How to ensure I don't lose Active Park Assist and parking sensors - is this part of the ROM, launcher or a seperate app somewhere?
3) Where's the difference between firmware and MCU?
4) Is MCU flashing safe?
Although I have used this forum extensively so far in working out what I can and can't do, I'm a little lost on these questions, so thanks in advance for any help. BTW, I know the PX30 unit isn't the best - but it was less than half the price of the Octocore which I assume was the PX5.
On a side note, my car play adaptor is mostly not working. In Autokit, compatible mode works, but speed mode doesn't - any ideas why? It sometimes works fine, others not.

Total noob, few questions re: MTCE PX30 etcetc

hey there,
Brand new here, and understandably quite overwhelmed with all these headunits and models and builds and all these acronyms lol
I currently own and have installed into my 2012 Bose Mazda3 sedan, "Eonon" (I know that means nothing) GA9463....aka, PX30 MTCE-HT 1024x600, says "Android 10" but im just a bit confused and basically I have no idea where to begin reading into my specific unit and what I can possibly do to make it better. Here are a few issues/questions:
- Based on the architecture and what ive read, it appears as though there is no sort of actual DSP with this unit? So I am stuck with the BS fake sliders for the EQ that barely makes a difference? Ehhh...
Given the above model/build information (and can provide more info about the unit if it helps) what is the best way to:
- Best way to shorten the boot time/remove bloatware/end or disable background processes? Sometimes takes over 2 minutes for this 2 month old unit to get volume to work smoothly. I've installed exactly 2 or 3 apps, otherwise have left this thing completely factory original.
- Is there a way to remove the annoying hissing sound when volume is low, it goes away with music coming on via pandora or whatever app, or is that just a lovely byproduct of the low-quality electronics inside the unit?
- would ViperFX work on this unit? Crossover settings etc possible on this unit?
- Does this unit ACTUALLY have android 10, or is it a faked version, as I've heard mentioned here a few times?
- what kind of hardware mods would I be able to perform, ive heard of possible RAM upgrade (I feel this thing REALLY needs more RAM) or possibly modding or replacing the sound processor chip with something....better? Adding in some sort of filtering or whatever to tackle the annoying hissing?
I would also like to know where/which forum/thread would be best for me to start reading, sort of "from the beginning", so I can learn how all this works with these Android headunits, what it all means, so i don't feel like I'm walking around blind. Thanks so much for reading and offering any tips, tricks, advice or links you may have!

Fake Chinese head unit build in bij a company, any chance of changing the rom>

I had a unit build in, half a year ago. That one was fine in terms of android and such, but it had problems, so, after half a year, it was replaced with a "brand new one". When I found out it wouldn't apply an other launcher, I started to dig into the specs.
See attachments.
Now, the biggest issue why I am hesitating to try anything with installing an other rom, is that the system hasn;t been placed next to the original, but in between the cars system (mercedes GLC) and Android. SO if android fails, my complete system is gone, including car settings.
SO,. is there a possibility to change the rom without messing with the canbus?
The person who placed the unit has zero knowledge of Android, and claims I am doing experiments he won't support (referring to installing a launcher), and he doesn't believe me when I tell him the system is NOT a android 9, 32GB with 1280x780 res. but android 7, 24GB , 1280x480, and the processor, no idea, was never mentioned on his own site.
I send him, screenshots of the app but he refuses to look at it, and to solve this issue.
I hope anyone can shine his light in this, as I am not sure what to do: make an issue out of this (then I will need a laywer), or do nothing. Would allmost remove it myself and buy an other, but because of the canbus I am not sure.
Anyone?
