I need big help, my LG LS980 device is now bricked currently works only in recovery mode with ADB commands, any firmware I tried to upload I did not succeed
adb devices

adb sideload aokp_ls980_kitkat_unofficial_2014-01-16. zip
sending 100%
on my screen devices
finding update package
Opening update package
Verifying update package
Installing update
assert failed: run_program ("/system/bin/loki.sh") == 0
Installation aborted.
I've tried other firmware that is supposed to my device with similar result
You may need to restore to stock firmware but I can't figure out the process.
Is there anyone who can help me to restore the device
follow steps to reroot and push loki to device, reinstall recovery. try install again.
before redownload different rom and try to install that, aokp is buggy rom anyway, latest 16th build doesnt boot .

Thanks for your reply, my problem is that I don't understand how do reroot the device.
The device does not have many options, pressing the buttons (power and Vol +) the device enters in a State Factory Hard Reset.
Pressing (power and Vol-) goes into recovery mode and loads the black screen with anticipation for the adb commands
reboot system now
update from external apply sdcard
apply update from cache
apply update from ADB
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition
With closed then press the device (Vol +) and connect the USB cable enters into Download Mode, here you also don't know what to do.
When I hit the power button just opens the device showing the logo of LG and the led flashing in green/blue and after a while makes itself restarted
I searched the forum for reroot and saw that need to do some settings on the device to do root, did I forget something and so I do not understand?
Sorry, I don't understand and become tedious but it's my first time playing with the object
so, you dont have recovery now?
"adb reboot recovery" not working ?
Based on what you said, you are able to get in recovery and adb is working, then push the ROM zip file over and reflash it in recovery.
I'm happy because I just unbrick my device by selecting Download Mode Firmware Update and with the LGFlashTools loaded LS980ZV8_ software 13.51097. tot.
Now I lie in my original problem, I want to unlock to accept SIM card from another provider and another country.
Some help to be able to start from somewhere the unlock process?

1. First do you know what rom version you where on?, if you do know download that rom then extract from it the stock recovery using Huawei Update Extractor .
2. If there is two files of recovery just choose one, the one without any numbers. So you will have RECOVERY.img file.
3. Now make sure all files needed to recognize your phone are installed and adb is installed too. What you will need now is to push the RECOVERY.img file to the phone.
4. Connect the device to the computer and Put the RECOVERY.img file inside the folder where fastboot.exe is located. Then hold shift and right click to open CMD(command prompt) from there. Once CMD is open run the following code:
adb devices (This will show if your device is connected)
adb reboot bootloader (will reboot the device in bootloader mode)
fastboot devices
fastboot flash recovery RECOVERY.img
5. After this take the rom which you extracted the recovery from and put it in the memory card (dload folder)
6. When phone is OFF hold (volume up + volume down+ power key) together until you see Huawei startup logo then release. The flash process of the rom should start.

Follow the instructions i stated earlier. Put the rom the dload folder( inside it Update.app) in sdcard and flash it by turning off the phone and then hold( volume up+volume down + power) at the same time to begin the flash process or read the pdf file that comes with the rom after you unzip it.

Then hold volume down and connect the usb to the pc until you see fastboot mode come up. After that enter the code i gave to flash the stock recovery and then follow the rest of the instructions.

Hi all i just bricked my phone : P9-lite VNS-L31
I managed to unlock bootloader, install twrp and get root permission. Phone worked great. Then i tried to flash xposed and the operation fails due to not enough memory space (!! i have 6gb) and get stuck in bootloop. I made all the possible things i knowed. Tried to use xposed-unistaller.zip (getting other errors like: "no such file o direcory") , wipe cache, dalvik and data and i try also to reflash stock recovery, and to relock bootloader (i can't do that.. why? i get FAILED <remote: command not allowed>) because erecovery and HiSuite can't restore my phone. What can i do?? It's a simple bootloop but i cant restore it. Please help me i have just bought the phone and now i'm very desperate.
I really hope some can help,
Thank you
Can you flash the stock rom through SD card?
Copy the stock rom file to this path: sd card\dload\UPDATE.APP,
Then, presss Volume + , Volume -, and the power keys to force upgrade your phone.
Hi, i solved my problem flashing system.img extracted by an official firmware. Everything ok. If someone need it i can write a little guide now to restore bricked p9-lite with custom recovery and unlocked bootloader (the normal procedure does not work)

So, i think i can help you to fix your phone.
First of all you need fastboot. So check fastboot drivers on your pc and make sure they work
Now download the stock firmware for VNS-L31 here : http://www.androidvillaz.com/2016/0...vns-l31-to-marshmallow-6.0-b100-firmware.html - It's the only version ready to download and an asian version but flashing only system you'll not notice it. All languages available, no differences at all.
Download and install this tool : http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=3262545
So using something like 7zip extract the UPDATE.APP file in your desktop for example.
Launch HuaweiUpdateExtractor and select the update.app.
You need to extract SYSTEM.IMG so right click on it and select extract selected.
Now, turn your p9lite in fastboot mode (power off, press vol - and power) and connect it to your pc.
Now launch this : "fastboot flash system "PATH/system.img" " . Remember to replace "PATH/system.img" with the path of your extracted system.img file including the name of the file.
Wait about 3 minutes.
When flash finalize, boot in recovery. Wipe cache and dalvik and reboot your smartphone. It should boot now.
If not, perform a full wipe. (cache, dalvik and data).
Hope this can help.

with pressing volume - and power i enter into erecovery from there i should use fastboot to flash system.img ? sorry for being dum
edit: when in erecovery (volume- and power) typing fastboot flash system with full path , does nothing .. only saying waiting for device
edit2: no matter what i do , i cant fastboot flash system .. waiting for device .. only thing i can do is enter TWRP (also got root) , enter Erecovery and thats it .. phone only boots to huawei animation along wiht sound and thats it .. i tried adb sideload from TWRP but no help also .. guess there is nothing i can do right ?
Edit3: so i booted via TWRP to bootloader , used that fastboot command , flashed system , wiped cache , and now it is looking that phone is booting up !
thanks bro , any way i can pay you back ? cus you da MVP here !
EDIT4: well phone booted , rebooted , and now i cant enter recovery it boots into erecovery and i cant do nothing else
EDIT5: got into fastboot menu in phone , it says update system again , Error Func NO : 10 (boot image) Error NO : 2 (load failed)
EDIT6: somehow made it into fastboot , somehow flashed recovery , managed to restore my phone from back up , but sadly enough i cant restore it via google , since when i try to log in it says waiting .. dam this phone . i had galaxy S .. got this huawei just for pokemon go (which is pretty ****ty without gyro) FML right
EDIT7: lost most of my hairs .. some of them were ripped out in some anger explosions .. chewed of some of my nails .. but somehow i made it ! now if i only could unroot and relock bootloader xD think im gonna take a break for now and when my nerves will calm down i may try it again . Rly wanna thank you from all of my heart for help , thanks !! your the best man , thanks again
Sorry, can you normally boot and use your phone now?
Edit: It seems you can boot. Now you have restored your twrp recovery. I don't know why you have problems with google log in, but hey now it boots!

Hi, if you don't know what is fastboot maybe you can approach it the easy way.
Download and install this for the correct drivers : http://consumer.huawei.com/minisite/HiSuite_en/index.html
Download and extract to a folder this : https://mega.nz/#!B4tATA5D!-TseQ9A-TPEQhzNQRXsT_cV2i4T7qYYLadceW0fM8k0
Put your phone in fastboot mode : Turn it off. Connect it to your pc . Long press vol - and power until it boots in fastboot mode (white screen with a green android and other stuff). If you want you can boot in fastboot from TWRP recovery : restart -> bootloader.
Copy your extracted SYSTEM.IMG in the root path of the tool (we can assume its name is system.img).
Now launch the tool and press 000 and enter.
If you have done all right now you can give this : fastboot flash system system.img
Wait about 3 minutes. Perform a cache and dalvik cache wipe. Boot your phone.

Hi,
I am using the standard P9, and getting the Boot Loop also.
I attempted your instructions, and appeared to work - I got the first EMUI initialization screen - and now its gone back to how it was.
Any suggestions?
I think it should work on every phone assuming you are using the right firmware. Do you use the right firmware for the huawei P9 ?? (needless to say it's not the version i posted)).
So if you flashed the right firmware (and i'm pretty sure of this) my advice is to perform a full wipe : Cache, dalvik and data.
If you are still facing the same error consider flashing other frimware parts like boot.img ecc.
I believe so - I am pretty clueless with this stuff.
By firmware, do you mean the stock version? Because I used P9-EVAL09-EVA-B136. Don't suppose you would know the right firmware I require?
I think it's the right version. I am a p9lite user so i don't know specifically the right version of the firmware but i think it's ok. Do you tried a full wipe?

I do yes
So, go in twrp recovery (turn off phone, long press vol up and power for at least 3 seconds). When you are in you will see 'WIPE' press it then do the swipe to Factory Reset. You will lost your installed apps and the relative settings but you will not lost your personal stuff such photo, music documents ecc. Let me know if you perform it and if it works =)
It appears that TWRP no longer appears. I get thr EMUI options to wipe data/factory reset. But once I do this I just get a red exclamation mark.
Does the phone need to be plugged in via USB?

k1ll3r8e's toolkit should be able to do it for you, give it a try.
Thanks for the answer. But the stock recovery didnt work for the thing that i want to do... I want a fresh installation of the last compilation of the firmware. I want to wipe it all...and install the the stock firmware,to start from 0. (Cause i have to much garbage in the system. The Ram memory is down of 1,60 gb with 3 user apps installed) You know how can i do that?
I had it the stock recovery this morning but didnt download me the last firmware...(cause i have the bootloader unlocked) So i return to twrp...
I just want a fresh installation of the stock rom to start from there.

You can get stock recovery here http://forum.xda-developers.com/huawei-p9lite/how-to/root-root-recovery-bootloader-unlock-t3457564
Download the zip extract it and I believe it's called stock.img
I'm going to assume bootloader is unlocked and USB debugging is enabled
Enter fastboot mode and connect to PC
Load up adb terminal on your PC type fastboot flash recovery PATH/stock.img (PATH= file path to the recover img)
After that is done download the latest firmware for your phone version and extract it, extract update.zip and put its contents on the root of your sd card in a file called dload (make if it doesn't exist)
With the SD card inserted and phone turned off power up by holding volume up, volume down and power at the same time for about 8 seconds, this will start the update, once that has done you will want to power the device holding volume up and power for a while, select factory/data reset, then wipe cache, reboot into clean stock rom.
This will also remove root and relock bootloader
After installing twrp using the one click root method, it restarted my V20 and I ended up in recovery mode (TWRP) and unable to boot into the OS. It seems I only have access to fastboot, download mode, and TWRP at this moment. I tried flashing the partitions with twrp, but twrp isn't realing my SD card for some odd reason, and I don't believe theres another way to move the file directly to the phone. I've been trying to work with "LG FlashTool" for hours, and keep getting the same error. Is there a reliable way to flash the OS through download mode? Thanks!
There is currently no way to flash those .tot images. What happens when you try to boot, where does it get stuck?
In TWRP you can connect to a PC and access the storage. Did you try moving the files that way?

The encryption unsuccessful error was mentioned in the original TWRP form, you're just supposed to tap cancel and ignore it. It seems to happen every time you boot into TWRP. As for the .IMG files, I forgot where I got these but as soon as I find the post I'll be sure to give the creator credit. These worked perfectly for my H918.
Link to .zip file with the .img file-
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B53iMlcsyyiKenAtT2k5STl0Umc/view?usp=drivesdk
(On mobile app or else I would've embedded it)
Boot into TWRP and push them through ADB into your device, then flash with TWRP. Make sure to flash system and recovery together, THEN REBOOT. If you flash system or recovery apart then reboot it might not work. I pushed them to /data/ and it worked for me. system.img is about 4GB if I remember correctly, so that one took a long time to push through ADB, about an hour and a half, just be prepared to wait a bit. Good luck!

Good luck!

So I downloaded this file you have in the reply... How can I flash the files in the zip through Fastboot? This currently is the only thing I can boot into to modify the system. The phone boots fine, but I cannot use ADB because it won't authorize the device. I have repeatedly tried killing the ADB server and restarting it, changed the USB ports to no avail... At this point, I cannot boot into TWRP even though it should be operational still.

Which TWRP version do you have? Is it RC8 or above? If its not then you are stuck until the TOT files can be used in LG UP or if we get a KDZ (Havent checked recently if a KDZ is available).
If you do there is a fail safe in TWRP (RC8 and above) that you boot to the LG factory reset and go through with it, TWRP does not execute the command and just boots to TWRP.

ONLY USE THIS METHOD IF YOU HAVE TWRP RC8 OR ABOVE INSTALLED!!!!! OTHERWISE YOU WILL ACTUALLY FACTORY RESET YOUR DEVICE!!!!!
While the device is powered off, press and hold Vol - and Power button. When you see the LG logo quickly release only the power button and re-press and hold the power button (Never let go of the Vol - button) This will boot you into the LG Factory reset screen. ONLY USE THIS METHOD IF YOU HAVE TWRP RC8 OR ABOVE INSTALLED!!!!! OTHERWISE YOU WILL ACTUALLY FACTORY RESET YOUR DEVICE!!!!! Choose yes to both options and you will be rebooted into TWRP. TWRP intercepts this command and ignores the factory reset part.
Will definitely give a shot. Thanks. I'll report back when I get to do it...
what are commands to flash the sys files
