Not sure if it's just not updated for Marshmallow but it's signing itself out every other time I needed it

Yeah it's been doing the same here

I just set it up to use the fingerprint scanner. It's so easy to login, I want it to always logout.
Akellar - looks like they just patched it. The app would sign out if the fingerprint scanner read your finger wrong
Debauched sloth - you can have it sign out auto with a short time window after unlocking

There was an update today that fixed this issue. If there was an incorrect fingerprint detection, or some problem, it would sign you out entirely and you would need to login with a password. Definitely not intended behavior.
The most recent update fixed this behavior, and I couldn't be happier. That was killing me haha. I hate entering my password, as it's long and takes 2 hands to do because of symbols.
Yeah same

Since yesterday I get repeated notifications for the same thing. For example I'll get a Twitter or Facebook notification. I'll click it and take action in the app, the notification is now gone as normal. A few minutes later I'll get the same notification again! Was wondering if this had something to do with Google Services Framework update since I'm running stock rom and this problem just started yesterday. Very odd. Anyone else?

I got repeat notifications on twitter yesterday as well. Just as u described. Hopefully it was a twitter problem.

Nope. I'm getting them on Facebook too. Think its a Google Push Notification issue that's related to the Google Services Framework update. That's my guess.

I'm getting the same issues on my Nexus 7 too so it definitely appears to be a server issue and not device specific. Hopefully they fix it soon.

Facebook was weird yesterday.

Awesome anti theft app. Well worth the asking price, but it is free for the next 30 hours:

It's a must have app. Well worth the money when not on sale!
Thx

The link works fine for me. Thx for the info, i will try this app.
What does this do that the Google built in device manager doesn't? I thought you could track, wipe, and sound an alert with what's built in to android. Why do I want this (sincerely asking)?

Read up on the features it can do so much more like taking screenshots or activating back or front camera if someone has stolen ur phone you can even activate wifi or location through sms so IMHO far better than android device manager

android manager only works when your account is in use. Consider your phone is stolen and you used a wipe. Now your account information is removed and Google device manager is now useless.
There are lot of differences. I use avast anti theft rooted. My phone was stolen and I was able to track it, control it and eventually got it back after 4 weeks.
What you can do with this app which adm can't
Use sms commands to control your phone
Block Uninstall manager and/or settings page remotely
Whenever a new sim card is inserted you will be notified. This is most useful feature.
Force data and gps connection remotely. The other user can't turn it off.
In my personal opinion, you can't prevent theft.. If you lock down your phone (what you can do in adm) after that, the thief knows there is something wrong, and he may flash new firmware. But these app allow to silently track the phone which gives more power to locate the phone.

Definitely this is a very very useful app, hope the thief doesn't know the loop holes.

Explain, man? This is huge.
Hi
I would like to only use my fingerprint same with previous model. But with the S7, each time I switch off/on the phone, I am first prompted to enter a password, then the fingerprint will work till the next switch off/reboot. Is there a way to take rid of that password? I would like it to be prompted only in case fingerprint does not work.
Thanks
Phil
Marshmallow feature I believe. Nexus 6P does the same.

I think this is for extra security when the device has been switched off. I don't see a problem with entering your password once every restart, it takes a few seconds.

Thx guys! So, new android feature... Cheers

Yup. This actually good. As a tech you'd be surprised how many people forgot those passwords.
I have an AT&T model and after the update I still can't unlock my phone via fingerprint. Are all US versions missing this feature?

Apparently it is working fine for international models. I have the option to use fingerprints to unlock my device but it absolutely will not work

Works just fine for me and I am using a US version. Silly question, but have you gone through the process of registering your print with your phone?
Also, you can't unlock using a fingerprint after a reboot but you should be able to any other time.

Yep, I had the fingerprint set up right but I failed to set my secure lock setting as it was set to lock after 10 mins. I was testing it immediately after rebooting. It works now with the proper lock time set, lol

never missed a beat to me. I've always used the fingerprint unlock

Same here, I've got four fingerprints set up & it's not working for me. I've tried setting the fingerprints up several times & once after a reboot, still no go.

The default secure lock time on my device was set to 10 mins. Did you change that? After I did so, it worked

Don't know what I did, but the fingerprint scanner works now. After I swipe the lockscreen, it asks me for pin or fingerprint.

Just to see (I have checked Android Central) does anyone have S Health working on Android N Preview 4?
It force closes for me as soon as I try and login.

Same here. What do you think? The issue is with Android N or Samsung?
Sent from my Nexus 6P using XDA-Developers mobile app
Nop, doesn't work. I've sent logs to Samsung via the in app help with no answer yet from them.
I didn't realize s-health could be used on any phone other than a samsung???
S Health works in no-samsung phones. The question here is Android N (or Nexus 6p?)

Not working in final release os Nougat. I am very disappointed...I really would like to use s Health on my Nexus 6p

Yep. I can open the app but it force closes every time I try to log in.

I am on full 7.0 and S Health will open but crashes on sign in. The app would hang on sign in, give me the pop up to restart but still be running.
I noticed a S Health update today and tried again. Same result.
I uninstalled S Health and reinstalled and violá! I was able to sign in to S Health and sync with my Gear S2 with no issue.
Its working now!!!!
