I have a Metawatch (strata and frame) that i daily use and a Weloop Tommy smartwatch (that one is just for fun).
I like the hack ability of the weloop Tommy but it's battery is not good (never been) it's empty after 2 days .
I found in the "Weloop Tommy" threat someone mentioning the SMA-Q smartwatch.
I don't now the SMA "brand" but it looks like a nice smartwatch.
color "e-paper" display (like the pebble time)
30 days of battery (yeah right)
Hard-rate monitor
Only 55 dollars
I have taken the plunge to order one (it's only 55 dollars) , if it shows up (i think it's in pre-sale now) i'm gonna write a review here (in my broken English). I don't think much of it but i think it's a nice tinkering device and it does have a color display so.
Does someone knows the SMA smartwatch company? They seem to have made another watch that uses analog time and leds to show you information on your wrist. But i can't find much (english info) about them.
Here is some info for this watch
The Cinese crowdfunding site where the SMA-Q first came up
The Gearbest store where you can buy the watch (eventualy)
"Official"
Smawatch blogspot
Smawatch official site (Chinese)
Smawatch google plus page
Smawatch Facebook page
Smawatch twitter
SMA watch microblog site on Weibo.com.
App
Download the latest phone app here
Also taken the plunge!
I also decided to risk this. Bought the Tommy when that came out and it turned out to be great.
Interested to test this thing out, no idea about the brand but looks like a pretty good upgrade to the Tommy.. Will try and compare to my mates Pebble Time too.
Sending back my faulty GWatch and this could be a bargain replacement!
There are some real photos of the watch at 4pda.ru forum.
Which CPU use the SMA-Q ?
Can't find any info.
Well the pebble time apparently uses 100MHz ARM Cortex-M4.
I'd guess the same if not very similar?
Does anyone know when preorders will ship?
The Geerbest cancel preorders and refund money. The new ship day: Nov 22
the first batch of preorders is due to be shipping soon as they confirmed the order and charged money.
My preorder was canceled. Also many others preorders was canceled the reason is not received money.
My payment method seems to be fine, I got an email saying they had received authorised payment and it will be shipped in 3-5. Does the new date apply to everyone?

Did you ordered at Gearbest?
I did yeah. I paid by PayPal though, if that makes a difference?
I paid by PayPal too. Hmm.
Hmm indeed!
Did you get an email saying payment authorised? Or just one saying no payment?
Yes, I received email at Nov, 2 but order was canceled at Nov 16
Hi,
I made the payment through PayPal, on Sunday November 15, at Gearbest. the entire payment confirmed (status Processing). Until now I did not get any information about cancellation of the order.
On sma watch google+ there is a information about sale "SMA watch Q will ready and be on sale in 15th Nov."
I put a ticket on shipping the watch.
I got the answer !!!:

I asked them when they foresee shipment. I am waiting for a response.
Thanks Mercom, annoying that they didn't tell us this on pre order end date!? I was kinda hoping I'd get a shipping number today =[
Ah well, do let us know what they say!
Hmmzzz they also got my money trough paypal so i was hoping to see a "your order is send" messages pop up in the mail every day now.
Let's send them a mail
Also the app (android) is in English now
Yeah I guess we should get a sent message by Monday? (3-5 business days)..
If you get a response let us know? Think I'm gonna email them on Tuesday if it hasn't been shipped by then.
Is the app on the play store?
Take a look on the taobao site of the smawatch. You can find the link on the mine side from smawatch. I think that they wont deliver sooner then on 2016. There is a information about delivery:
Translation form chinese to english (google translator)
Dear little Q users Hello everyone, due to the large Q small curved design metal CNC processing difficulties, low yields, under our strict requirements for factory scrap thousands of shell material, shell material supply shortage of qualified leads to small Q Unable to ship within expected time of return. The first 1000 will be issued this month by Taobao order the payment order, the remaining quantity will be shipped before December 10, apologize for your inconvenience, thank you for your support of small Q!
I just counted how many watches they must send to people who have supported the project on the site. It is approximately 8200 units. Given the fact that only can produce the first 1,000.

Is anyone else having problems with Smart Devices Direct? I ordered my 9100 from them 30 days ago, they took the money from my account and now they are not replying to emails or phone calls?
Is everything ok with the company? Should I report them to my bank?
Deacil
I believe you can now dispute this with your credit card company, since I believe they have to provide goods or services within 30 days of the charge. I'm sorry that you've had to go through this, since many posts of msmobiles.com and HowardForums.com were allegedly showing SmartDevicesDirect to be very misleading regarding the pre-ordering of the Qtek 9100 and/or i-mate K-JAM.
I would highly recommend that you try one of these other dealers (no affiliation) if you have room on your card to charge, while you're waiting for the other one to get refunded back to your card:
www.madmonkeyboy.com - highly respected and trustworthy in the HowardForums.com community
www.kemplar.com - known for their support of some of the latest technology
www.superiorgadgets.com - Canadian-based dealer, who actually posted today that he has some K-JAMs in stock still!

My personal opinion and if you're in the US, cancel with SDD immediately, dispute with your credit card, and get from MadMonkeyBoy, so you don't continue to look like this:

Send [email protected] an email and/or send a fax. They sent a batch out Monday and it sounds like you were probably in the first one given the date you placed your order.
Thank you. I will email him right away ([email protected]).
I have been trying to email both Keith and Simon but neither are returning my emails.
Thank you again,

I ordered mine from smartdevices. TNT have shipped them and are showing that they are at my local customs.
Ill let u know if they arrive tomorrow.
SMART DEVICES DIRECT
Hi all,
I am Robin from Smart Devices, here is an extract from a mail our MD Keith sent to a customer earlier- ...'I can understand your frustration and apologise. I hope you can perhaps also understand that the several changes in the delivery dates for the Qtek 9100 has been very challenging for our company. We have endeavoured to accurately relay the delivery information provided to us by the supplier and it has been particularly disappointing as we have been receiving supplies of the Imate KJAMS and JASJARS.
We have offered all our customers the opportunity to either cancel with an immediate refund, change to an equivalent device or continue to wait for the product to arrive.
The latest delivery for the 9100 is supposed to be around the 14th'...
The Imate kjam delivery was insufficient for our total requirement, before we could offer our 9100 customers this as an alternative the full UK stocks were sold.
We have 2 commits for the 9100, one 'next week' and the other 'by the 19th'.
If anyone has a concern with their order please send an email to [email protected] or call us on #44-1252-792862
We will tell you the best we can do, it is not in our interest to let you guys down and we have tried to be as up front as we can, 'warts and all' as they say.
Interesting how it's just a cut and paste of someone's else response to a ANOTHER customer's grief.
Considering you've been getting nowhere with previous calls or emails to the company and that they're simply asking you to continue to make calls or emails to try to get your money back, I think it's best to take it up to the third-party, your bank or credit card company. Credit card disputes look bad on any company, but at least you'll have their attention for real instead of public 'damage control' such as this email is depicting.
C'mon, don't make this a tragedy.
At least the guy took some time to register an account here and post personally. I don't blame SDD for the whole Qtek 9100 delay. The suppliers have been late even for Expansys. After the first batch (October 5) we now have two more dates: October 14 and 19.
One of those two will be the good one! 8)
(at least for me...)
Certainly not a tragedy, but, i won't trust on a company that charges early before shipping the goods...
Robin is a good guy. He's been emailing me updates about stock and even spoke with me over the phone. The fact of the matter is, if you ordered around 30 days ago (like me) you're saving around £40 pre-tax compared to prices now! It's definitely worth the wait. If it slips into next month I'll start to consider withdrawing my order.
very happy with the service i had from SDD in the UK, and the other good thing here in the UK is that payment cannot be taken unless the goods can be shipped if you order via mailorder, (unless ordered just for you)
ps go for the imat kjam
Delt with Smart Devices myself , the company I work for where looking for PDA's to use in the field and the Wizzard was on the list . I gave them a ring and they where very imformative , in fact more so than my mobile operator who stated on the phone that they supported edge. Smart Devices helped me through this and it ment that they missed out on a sale because they helped me! They refunded my credit card immediately I see them as honest and friendly. Is it really there fault that their suppliers let them down.. Embarrasing for them, yes, as they trust their suppliers as we trust them to supply us. Always catch 21 being the middle man, especially on a high demand device as the wizard.

Its worse than that: they are charging the customer for something they don't even own.
Plus he only registered here to try and protect his image - they all know that these message boards are where the early adopter opinion leaders are.
And its awful that he just cut and pasted a response from another situation. That's as insincere as you can get.
I too delt with them and had similar expereince as wardy. They are a decent company (smartdevices) and do their best. Manufacturers I think are the ones that mess the retailers around and pass on bad info to the consumers
The manufacturer cannot be blamed for a retailer dipping their hand into the customers credit card when the clearly have nothing on hand to sell. That one is just not excusable.
Shipping dates do change, but what is beyond debate is that the product is not in stock. So what are the taking they customer's money for?
I worked for a manufacturing company before and I can't imagine any of the retailers we sell to ever charging their cutomers before they themselves had the product on hand. The only exception would be if it was a custom made order.
After reading the above comments, I will certainly buy from SDD.
14 October is the next date for the Qtek 9100. Crossing fingers...
I agree, it is out of line taking the money up front... I believe the only reason they do this is because their store and transaction handler cannot be set up any other way.
They need some sort of pre-order system.
SDD is a great company to work with and they are very responsive if you call or fax. E-mail and their online forms seem to be an issue however I am very pleased with their customer service for all of the products they sell.
TNT/DHL on the other hand are crap to deal with however it is about the fastest way to get product from UK to US without all of the hassles.
2 Thumbs Up for SSD
They have been totally up front with me and I received my k-jam yesterday from them. No issues, great communication. Called them several times between early preoder and ship of device. always answered the phone and spent time to explain exactly what was going on. Always responded to e-mails too. These guys do a good job given unreliable information from manufactures and suppliers. I would definitely do business with them again without question.
regards
chris

Well, time has come to move on to something else to "play" with. I've hacked the crap outta this phone and have grown tired. So, before I put it on eBay where most phone buyers wouldn't appreciate what they're getting, I'd post it here for a week first.
What's included:
* 8525 in awesome shape! I treated it like a baby lol.
* Leather case
* 2G mini sD card
* GPS reciever
* universal car mount
* home charger and car charger
* USB cable
- It's unlocked, and is running WM6 Black Majik with the added ButtonFlo cooked in, but not activated. Since flashing to this ROM I have not SR unless I wanted to on my own. None of that sleep of death crap.
- I'm leaving all apps installed, including a few like Agile Messenger and TeleNAV. You can use my subscription to Agile for all your Instant Message needs until my subscription runs out in about 8 months. The phones GPS ready so as long as you have TeleNAV on your plan you're all set. It also has Threaded SMS so your text messages will come in like iChat. Also included is a black version of the finger scrolling Contacts app. Too many ringtones I made and wallpapers to even begin a list. This is a sweet deal for the price I'm asking.
***I'm selling this as a PACKAGE DEAL, nothing seperate, so don't ask me how much for just this or that. It all goes to one buyer. $300 to start, and sold to the highest bidder over that starting price. I'll take care of shipping via UPS, and if you don't have PayPal then a cashiers check or money order will be accepted.***
PM me if interested or ask in here if you have any questions. -fin
Might be interested. Got any pictures to post?

Just found the box and realized there's an extra stylus, and all the software and paperwork that came with it! The box looks like I just got it. I'm pretty anal about keeping things and never toss stuff like this out.
Ok, only thing NOT pictured is the universal car mount cause I haven't yanked it off my windshield. lol Also, the 2G card comes with an adapter. [pictured].
Everything above, I'll sell for $200.
buying your 8525
I am interested, what is your final price?
I have paypal account.
Do you ship to Montreal Canada? thx
Would you be willing to sell the GPS seperate? If so, PM me and name your price.

I have 2 offers so far. One was $200 like I offerd, the second $201. I'm ending this sale on Friday, Sept. 21st at 8pm EST. If you're serious, offer $202. As long as someone offers $1 more then I'll go with the highest bidder for everything aforementioned. Canada shouldn't be a problem. I can ship via UPS anywhere.
***NOTE***
ANYONE INTERESTED PLEASE POST IN HERE WITH YOUR BID. This way people know what's been offered. The highest bidder on Friday I'll contact with a PM to get their info and will ship Monday morning and by UPS Next Day Air.

Got the black scroll app from the Hacking Developing forum here. It's still installed and makes the Black Theme even better. Also, I have the Threaded SMS installed too, so when you text someone it keeps track of the convo like an AIM session. Kinda like iChat.

I tried that. I set a price of $300 and no one bid. lol Anyone bids $300 and I'll ship it tomorrow! It's an awful lot to part with. The universal car mount works with my iPhone so I'll have to order a new one and I think it cost me about $20-$25?
Now I'm hopin that whatever is over $200 will go to shipping since I'm covering shipping, but if it's outside the US then the consignee will have to atleast pay half.
Still for Sale ??
I wish I'd seen this when u posted it - JUST bought one on EBAY - would (and Might still) give $250 for what u are offering....
Well, I can't say tonight that i can afford a second one, but if you still have it, I might have to dig a little deeper & see if I have enough $$ left ;-)
Sounds like a great deal regardless!
Thanks!

I Called DHL and they said that following are new requirements for Dubai Custom
1. shipment Product's "Country of Origin".
2. Sender should Mention on invoice, its for "Personal use"
3. HS Code (Harmonized System Code) of the products.
Please note that without above details, shipment will not be cleared by Dubai customs, so please make sure its mentioned.
I suggest different people should find out any such particular requirements for your Custom authorities.

Got this in the mail and I was like :O
Pretty good deal if they can actually deliver on this once the rush begins.
Shipping time will take a while xD
Worth taking chance if someone doesn't mind delayed shipping possibility. WOW price

Haha yeah, read a lot about their shipping times. I ordered a really geeky t-shirt once from them (the LEDs-lighting-up-in-response-to-sound shirt) and they sent it well after I'd forgotten about it (must have been more than a month).
Yup.. so buying from them, price is good if you don't mind waiting a while.
Just a quick search on Google brought me to this.

Has anyone purchased from them before?

Hours after buying a used one for $550... Whatever, these guys take an eternity to ship your purchase.
They are notorious for selling grey market electronics. If you buy, better pray you won't need warranty service because you won't get any from Samsung.
Just ordered it Time for the best meatloaf ever haha

I just called Samsung customer support 1800-726-7864 and asked if I buy phone that has international warranty and if I ever need warranty work done, will Samsung USA process it through or not. They said yes, but I would like to see if other people could call in if they have time and see what they hear. I don't know if I was wording it correctly or not, but the lady kept saying "yes all our phones have 1 year warranty". Got about 12 more hours to decide haha

I ordered a Nexus S a month or two ago and its working fine with no problems. The Nexus S came brand new like described with everything still wrapped. The one problem I had was their shipping was extremely slow. I had to email them, but they replied next day with tracking. If I had the money, I would get it.

Don't take their word for it. Call Samsung and ask.
Does anyone know what their return policy is? The link on the site just redirects to the main page. I want to know if something else comes up during the month that I wait for shipping if I can cancel or send it back when it arrives.

I will say.. no returns at all unless the product was defective. I had to deal with return for a Jawbone Icon I bought a while ago, not sure was it this site, but it was one of those deal site that ships from NY... It was defective, took a few days to RMA, otherwise, there should be no return for any product purchased from those sites from my experience.
Hi Xiaomi Lovers
I am not sure this is a good idea to start a thread like this, (If this is breaking any XDA rules, I will take down this thread right away) I have a friend visiting me (UK/London) this week and I have already requested him to bring me a Xiaomi Mix 6GB version.
I thought maybe some of you would want to tag along, it shouldn't be a problem for him to buy more as phone shops in China seem to stock them well for selling at higher price . Of course, if you are looking to buy this phone at the original official price, then this is not for you. I too am paying a premium on top in order to get my hand on one at this stage.
Now, i should be able to get you a Mix 6GB version at £700 (pretty sure it's cheapest you can find), i assume most of you are going for the 6gb version if you are interested in 4gb, let me know.
I will have the phone in hand this week so no waiting for china to ship....etc. And I understand you may think this is a scam, check my XDA history, and I welcome people to purchase in cash and ideally we can do this in person, so you see the phone in box and so on.
If you have other suggestions, let me know, but please keep in mind, I am just doing it as a service for the lovely XDA community, if it's not safe for me, i would not do it, so I will be checking your XDA history and making sure you are 100% serious getting the phone.
I can also post it to other country and the risk of getting the custom charge is yours, hence this thread is maybe only useful for UK buyers.
Let me know what you think
Update: Consider this thread closed. My friend has already picked up the order and will be leaving China to UK this Friday. 9/12. He got me a pretty good price too so I am happy at least xD
Thanks for the proposal of service, but for your information it is sold at 630£ online (6gb/256 version), including shipping

where? if that's the price, my friend is charging me too much and i might just get it from your source. i do know some sites are claiming to sell at lower price, but they don't really ship out orders. I have tried a few of them already

those are exactly the 2 websites i tried to order mine, but they refuse to ship my order saying they are waiting for more stocks and if I want it right away, i need to pay premium. This was however about a week ago so maybe things are different now.
Anyway, if you can indeed get it from website, just ignore my post. I wasn't sure it's going to be useful or not when I posted it.

Thanks for reply.
Where do they ship from?
I leave in Europe and do not want to pay for TAX etc. How did u do?
Last time I ordered a phone from there I didn't pay any tax, can't be guaranteed you won't pay tax just luck.
That depends the country.
Iff you are in Portugal you can buy it with SF-Express method and pay extra 9.90 € and no aduane .. Chronopost will do the delivery to Portugal, from France or Deutch .
Just need to enter in Portuguese language on the website and you find that way.
Sorry for bad english guys
I ordered mine from Light in the Box; it was $799.00 - $40.00 coupon code. Looks like that price went up by a ridiculous amount, but I think it does fluctuate even there. Might be worth watching. Took about three days to ship it out, another five to arrive, and another five to get through customs. Total of around two weeks altogether. They were very responsive whenever I asked for status updates (in my excitement, I asked 4 or 5 times, and they always answered within a few hours.)

Going with the Portuguese version of Chinadroid it states that there is minimal chance of customs charges when using SF Express. I've contacted them to find out what this means, I really don't fancy adding €150 onto the price of the phone.
I noticed that some people are selling this device for reasonable prices now. Check out the Xiaomi Mi Mix 256 GB on eBay for $495 US
Beware of eBay scams - got a refund from PayPal due to non shipment.

I bought a Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro SE from this site not too long ago.
Overall,a good experience, but,if you have the option of upgrading to a faster shipping method, I recommend doing so.
Otherwise, expect to wait 2-3 weeks for final delivery.
