Whats a good app for cleaning ram - Galaxy S6 Edge+ Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

What's a good app to clean the cache and ram? Also how do you utilize the space on the phone using OneDrive. I have auto sync set up and i got the additional 100 gbs on OneDrive. I have always had a mem9ry card lol. Do I delete the pictures from the gallery once I take them because they are synced to OneDrive?

What cache are you talking about? Individual apps' caches can be cleared in stock settings, system cache can be cleared in recovery.
You shouldn't really ever have to worry about RAM, as Android does a fine job of managing it under normal circumstances.

Had some problems with ram aswell on the stock firmware. I used Clean Master to improve it

You have the stock app like smart manager, if you want another you can use SD Maid pro, is the best.

Clean master for me

General Data Storage Question

I noticed that with some apps on the ROMS their cache/data needs to be cleared every now and then to make them work properly. I was wondering if there is a storage space where they are all kept, or if it varies for apps. Thanks!

phone running out of space?? gmail taking a while to refresh?

my N1 is saying its running out of space. anyone runnin into a space issue too? what did u do? i dont think i have that many apps installed. i uninstalled the ones i didnt really need.
when i check SD Card/Phone storage settings, says my phone's internal storage available space is 19.07mb >.< is that low....
also, for gmail syncing, is it me or does it take like a while to sync...?
If you are running a custom rom try moving large apps like Flash to your SD card. Also clear your browser cache. Deleteing old sms's will help also.
Sent from my Nexus One using XDA App
no custom rom. stock 2.2.1. moved what i can to SD. 32.75mb now =3
did you try removing browser cache?
removing browser cache was what increased it to 30 something mb =3 lol
is there any way to save text messages =3
Try this out for backing up SMS: code.google.com/p/android-sms/ (I can't post live links yet.)
SMS Backup & Restore from the Market
does it get saved on the sd or on the phone?
20mb is the limit for the low space warning.
removed some some unused apps again. now at avail space 48.70mb. is that good? what does everyone else have?
did the backup thing... went thru my 17k+ msgs since i got phone in august. xD
Everyone else mostly has custom ROMs with Apps2EXT, which equals pretty much unlimited space for apps.
???? apps2ext??
I hover around 25mb-30mb free space usually. I also have a bunch of games I could uninstall since I only every play maybe 3 of them.
Every time I got the low space warning it was from having way too many windows going in the browser.
Sent from my T-Mobile G2 using XDA App
i close em tho =3

Atrix 4G Bell 2.3.6 rooted very slow boot

Hello!
My Atrix on Bell 45.21.78 Android 2,3,6 boots extremely slow.
Unit is rooted (no ROM or other fancy stuff), normal boot takes ~6 minutes while first boot into wiped Dalvik cache takes 8 minutes (cleaned once Dalvik cache)
-No improvement after the Dalvik cache clean.
-Application data cache cleaned -no impact
-I cannot relate it to applications installed or other things
From Settings:
Storage:
Available space 622 MB
Internal:
Total: 10.71GB available 9.05GB
SD
Total 29.76GB available:13.60GB
From NQ Android Booster:63% memory used 520/816MB
Any suggestion welcome
Adam
I'd say you've likely overloaded your phone with tons of apps. What all apps do you have?

Running apps reported by NQ:
3Gwatchdog
Swiftkey
bump
text messaging
gesture search
stocks
facebook
viber
smart stock
calendar storage
jorte
music
winamp
nabvogator
drm protected content storage
titanium backup
hangouts
youtube
gmail
whatsapp
fring
super task killer
maps
quik video
dlna
nq androis booster
All together under Apps (counting pages of apps and 4x6 apps per page) maybe ~110 apps
Hm, yeah. No idea really since I haven't even heard of many f those apps. Guess you'll have to wait for someone else to pitch in. Overall I'd say about 100 apps is not all that much, I have about 75-80 myself and I have no boot speed problems whatsoever. (Then again, I'm using a custom ROM.)

cache cleaner

I use device care storage cleaner built in app but once you go to settings, apps and sort by size, you realise big apps sizes with cache uncleaned
What is the best cache cleaner app that would do all this automatically without having to manually do it after device care?

cache cleaner?

after samsung removed that option from device maintenance, i struggle to find a good cache cleaner that actually does its job properly. i tried cache cleaner but it shows it cleaned 2gb(let's say) but then if i go to apps, instagram, facebook and a few other apps that have largest cache....are not cleaned. i am looking for an app (paid/unpaid) that would clean cache of all apps without me having to double check that this was actually done
thanks
SD Maid has been my go-to for years. I bought the Pro version. It's fantastic and has a huge range of functionality.

You have to adjust options in the settings. It works great.
