Hi all,
I have a serious issue with my MX5.
This morning it is remaining on logo MEIZU...no more.
With button up + power and connected on my PC , I can get a recovery folder (1.2 Gb) on the PC.
If I put an update on the folder , after start "System upgrade", I have the message "Firmware not found" and curiously the upgrade file disappears from the recovery folder ?????
So I can do nothing.
What file can I put in this folder to go on ?
Any idea ?
Have you tried with other usb port, with other pc, with other usb cable and with other update.zip?
1) Download a proper update.zip version
2) If you tried to so something through Freeboot or etc, send it back to Meizu for fixing
3) As usual, change cable, use other usb port or even other computer
4) Repair your memory
5) Pray

OK...so far so well, I put it out of the box, pushed the start button, and saw very pretty and nice pictures, but for the moment thats all! (
how the hell this thinks works?! No pc connectivity, no pc synchro, unable to browse base file system, unable to access sd card files. unable to access phone book(!?!?). After 6 clicks on the display I found where it is. And after 4-5 more I am finding the needed contact. For example on nokia, siemens, htc and samsung, this happens only with 3 clicks.
when I connect it to the pc, it just show me the new device dialog box, and after few clicks: unable to find propriate driver. No change after installing SEUS, and trying file by file from the driver dir of installation files of SEUS. After 45 minutes search with google, nothing apears.
On linux just shows Mass Storage with no media inside.
What the hell am I doing wrong?
firstly try pulling down the top box and selecting mass storage mount

Thanks for the tip
Briefly, when usb cable is connected to the pc, just drag down with a finger on the top left corner of the display, and press "Usb Connected". Then in the box press Mount.
After that on my machine was started an update of microsoft usb components: Microsoft WinUsb 1.0. And after all that the phone is ready to be found properly by the system. Just download SEUS from the sonyericsson support website, and extract the executable with 7zip. and extract ..\$[31]\drivers\SmartphoneDrivers.zip . In this archive are the drivers for X10i.
If you want to find drivers for flash, just put the device in a flash mode (pressing and holding the backarrow - the right key - while the phone is connected to pc), and then extract seehcri.zip from the same folder. There is the driver for the eeprom controler.
Solved!
My Galaxy wont connect with Kies ? check out this link -
.youtube.com/watch?v=Bun3DgLNsuk.
cant explain the problem properly
Try these:
While the device is pluged
Go into Device manager (type devmgmt.msc in the bar)
Look for device with a yellow " ! " and delete them.
click the home botton on the device if you can (to get out of kies connect mode)
Unplug it
reboot phone (Hold power a couple of seconds until the screen goes black) and let it reboot completely
plug it back while kies is open and see if drivers are installed properly
Okay, thanks. Will try that
That did not work, when windows cant install MTP USB-Application
can you try to uninstall kies and reinstall - update?
Does the device switch from home to kies?
I did try uninstalling Kies.
I removed the MTP Application from device manager, and now when i connect the phone it goes into MTP mode and jumps out of it again. And windows wont install the MTP driver
Looks like it's a hardware failure (with the usb connection)
Can you try on a different PC?
If not, call in for a repair and, if you want to try some of the things thei'll ask you to try, do theses:
Backup everything you have, do a hard reset (will erase everything)
*2767*3855#
then, clean all memories while in recovery mode and retry.
Try getting rid of any running applications; when I had Winamp open on my computer, it did the same thing you are talking about because it was tring to access my internal SD card.
Sent from my GT-I9000M using XDA App
''t1mman''
thanks for the help this worked
*2767*3855#
then, clean all memories while in recovery mode and retry.
This happens when you have a file on your internal memory that has an extension with more than 16 characters.
I had this problem, I fixed it by putting my phone in usb debug mode and then mounting it as a drive then I could go in and find all of the files that had long extensions. Basically its any file that has more than 16 characters after the last .
I had some files that were called .thumb924839834983 or something like that. I deleted them and then I stopped having this issue.
I found this solution on xda somewhere, but I cant seem to find it now.
Hello all! I have a metro PCS branded LG Leon phone with some critical data in the QuickMemo+ LG app I need to recover from internal memory hopefully without having to install a new screen. The data is located in /data/data/[some path]
I can get the phone connected to my windows 7 PC in MPT mode. I can view lots of folders in internal memory. I can't SEE the /data/ folder but I can access it from the path - however it's empty, and I cannot get to /data/data or /data/[the app path] from the windows file explorer.
If I power on and hold power and vol - at the same time, I get a factory reset screen on the phone which I can manipulate with the vol and pwr buttons - but the phone is not recognized on the PC via USB in this mode. If I hold VOL + and plug in the USB with the phone off, I get some distorted command prompt stuff, then it goes in to Firmware Update. In this mode, it is detected by the computer, but shows in device manager with a ! - and the error is error 10 - Device Can Not Start.
ADB and Fastboot both always show no devices connected no matter what I try
If I can figure out a way to get this sucker seen by ADB I'm golden... if I can get fastboot to see it I think I have a process by which I can get in to what I need...
Why can't I get either program to see this sucker?
Or should I try my Linux box running Ubuntu?
Also - as I sit here and type, with the phone plugged in and showing FIRMWARE UPDATE [where I had the error 10 before] I tried switching drivers to just the plaIn MTP driver. No luck initially, but all of the sudden I hear the windows Bedoop new device sound, and drivers installed, and I no longer have the error 10 in device manager.. however I still cant see the sucker in ADB/Fastboot.
Help!

Hi guys,
This is a step-by-step guide to update your Lenovo Vibe K5 (a6020a40) to the latest build S102 with VoLTE support, or basically to install VoLTE update on Vibe K5.
Since many guides & youtube videos tell different methods, I have come up with the best solution.
Requirements
-Lenovo Vibe K5 (a6020a40) (SD 415, 2GB RAM variant) running any ROM
-S034 firmware: https://docs.google.com/a/repairmymobile.in/uc?id=0B1hm-6TNn10IcUtHOWZLaUtzUEU&export=download
-OTA Zip to set Country as India: http://www.mediafire.com/file/j6icttemsrq266e/India.ota.zip
Please note that this will erase your data & internal storage
Also note: If you already are on S034 build with stock recovery installed & not rooted, then skip the steps 1-9.
Steps:
1) Download the S034 firmware file and extract it to some handy location (preferably desktop).
2) Go to the "Drivers' folder in the extracted files and install Lenovo USB Driver, and then install Qualcomm USB Driver.
3) Now to go to the "Tools" folder in the extracted files and install QPST.
4) Download the OTA zip to set country as India, and copy it to your device's external SD card.
4) Take backup of all your stuff (apps, messages, contacts etc). The next steps will wipe your data & internal storage, so if needed copy your internal storage to your PC or external SD card.
6) Open QFIL from Start Menu as administrator (Start Menu > All Programs > QPST > right-click on QFIL and click "Run as administrator")
7) Copy the "SW" folder in the extracted files, to the root of your C:\ drive in your PC. Otherwise, sometimes QFIL gives a "sahara" error while flashing.
5) Now power off your phone. Make sure its not connected to your PC. Remove your SD Card from the phone to be on the safer side. Once it is powered off, press the volume up & down buttons together and connect your phone to your PC. The screen should now be black & the notification led on your phone should turn red.
6) Now QFIL should show "Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008".
6) In QFIL, click Browse and go to C: drive > SW > Images and double-click on "prog_emmc_firehose_8929.mbn". Then click on "Load XML", and in the file selection window that opens, double click on "rawprogram0.xml" and on the next window, double-click on "patch0.xml"
7) Now click on "Download" button. This is the step that erases your data & internal storage. This step will take around 10-15 mins.
8) Once it shows "Download complete" with a blue text in the downloader log (bottom part of QFIL window), disconnect the USB and power on your phone. Since this is the first boot, it will take around 5-10 mins.
9) Now, once it is booted and it shows the welcome screen, power off your device.
10) Once your device is switched off, press Vol up + Vol down + Power buttons together until Lenovo logo appears. Now it should boot into Recovery mode.
11) Navigate to "apply update from sd card" using Vol up & vol down keys and press power button to select that option. Now navigate to the file "India.ota.zip" which you copied at the beginning and press power button to install. This will take 5-10 mins and again data will get erased (not internal storage). After installation the device will reboot automatically. It will take 5-10 mins to boot.
12) Now once it is booted, complete the setup guide, and make sure your device is connected to internet. And then go to Settings > About device > System updates. It should show a new update of 49 MB. Download it. Once it is downloaded, tap OK to install the update. This will again take 5-10 mins & will NOT wipe anything. After installation your device will automatically reboot.
13) Check if you have S102 build number (Settings > About device > Build number). If yes, then you're all done. Now VoLTE is enabled in your Vibe K5 A6020a40. If you want you can restore any backups to your device. :good:

Unbrick/Upgrade MX Q-4k RK3229 5.1/6.0.1 Android TV Box
First of all, Hello my friend and RELAX i guarantee you that my guide will work
How to Unbrick or Update your MX Q-4K RK3229
1. Search on Google & download : RockChip_Batch_Tool_v1.8
2. Go to mxqproject.com/files/ (its an Index of /files)
2.a Open: Rockchip-3229-Recovery-Tools/
2.b Download:
Marshmallow_Update_Files/
or
Stock_Lollipop_Recovery_Tools/
2.c Download: DriverAssitant_v4.4.7z and install it instantly!!!
3. Get a Male2Male Usb Cable
4. Open RockChip_Batch_Tool_v1.8 with Admin Rights
5. Connect the Male2Male Usb Cable on your PC
6. Locate the AV button of your Smart Box
(its a hidden reset button accessible via Toothpick!
YES toothpick ^_^ )
SO FAR: You have install the Drivers and run the Batch_Tool, your Smart TV Box is in front of you, the Male2Male cable is connected on your pc only, and you have found the AV hole and you are ready to insert the toothpick.
7. Insert the toothpick on AV hole and hold it and plug the already connected on your pc Male2Male cable on the Usb Port that is on the left side of the the AV.
8. You will see that the Batch Tool discovered the connected device.
9. On the : FW Path add your .img and after that HIT Upgrade button.
10. Wait for it to finish the proccess and you have successfully upgraded or unbroke your TV Box :angel::angel::good::good::good::good:
Thank for this solution, but where can i find the latest firmaware MX Q-4k RK3229 (6.0.1)?
I guess I did something stupid...
Hi all,
First of all, I have managed to boot into recovery mode and got that menu screen, where you have the wipe data/factory defaults and wipe cache partition.
My stupid thing: I did both... (both cache and data /factory defaults.
Now, I've followed dnbsoundsgo0d guide, but my device is not being recognized by the tool... I'm currently downloading an MXQ_4k_2017.ZIP file I found for the device, but, I'm wondering if by putting this on an SD card, if I will be able to update it without connecting to a PC.
Any word of wisdom is highly appreciated. Thanks!

Power the box off completely.
Open the tool on computer.
Hold down toothpick button.
While still holding button, connect usb to to both computer and box.
Device recognized.
