Help Re-Partition My Phone (Clean Install Stock) - Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey Guys,
I am having an issue installing a pit file via Odin 3.10. Regular AP (ROM Firmware) flash normally and pass. So it cannot be a driver, or cable issues... I need to re-partition my G900T in order to completely wipe the phone. It is having issues with the stock rom (randomly resetting itself).

I got the pit file from a well reputed XDA Thread. So I do not think it is corrupted or nothing like that.

I just saw it in an article saying I should do that when unrooting or unbricking my phone. Is it not the proper procedure? im kinda new with android.

[Odin] Pit re-partition takes no effect

Hi
I tried to re-partition my Samsung S3 mini with a custom pit file with Odin v3.07. This is Odin output, looks ok:

I'd like to remove the recovery partition and resize following system partition instead. The download menu on the device prints a red warning "Custom pit file", which I ignore.
After rebooting the device, I can't see any change, the recovery image still boots and the red flag in the download mode disappeared.
Why does it not work, I tried already different checkbox combinations on Odin.
Regards
Edit:
The problem was, that I tried to repartition the device without flashing the images. Instead of Odin, Heimdall throws an error.

I tried multiple Stock ROMs and I get the same error. Do you know of a legit one? The ones I had could've been corrupt.
What device do you have?

Can't flash modem !

Hey, i'm in trouble again. I should stay stock and do nothing to my phone, anyway, that's what was in my mind when i flashed a stock 5.0 firmware from Russia ( i'm from romania ) . Now wi-fi wouldn't switch on and mobile network doesn't work. ANYWAY, i tried flashing several modems, but i end up everytime with a "fail" error in odin, there is the log.

Hope you get why i'm so frustrated, anyway, appreciate the help
Try another usb cable and port. And try a different Odin version. 3.09 worked fine for me every time.

I have like 3 other usb cables but they don't work properly, i can use them only to charge the phone. I flashed the ROM with the same usb cable that i'm using now and it works well. Thanks for reply.

I accidently did a nandroid erase of the system once on my s8 and left it bricked for 2 and a half hours. I recovered from flashing all 4 files from the FW (U1 fw to be exact) and enabled re-partition. It successfully went through and i got out of my bricking problem.
