I have a 910H model want to flash 910C fw using odin. Just to see if it will unlock the LTE bands since they have identical Hardware including modem chip. Any advice will be appreciated.
Hard to say. Usually as long as you can get back to download mode for Odin you are okay. You wanting to flash a firmware that's not for your phone goes against the norm. So, do you feel lucky? lol

As long as the brick is not permanent. I am willing to be the guineapig if I can locate Odin flash-able files for both 910h and 910 c. If the hardware is truly identical as was mentioned then 910H should behave like 910C ala LTE . OTOH I may be screwed ..... so trying to figure out the probability of the later.

Oh my God... NO!!!!!!
It's not hard to say, it's very easy to say that one should NEVER flash a firmware that is not meant for the SPECIFIC MODEL they own.
NEVER.
Um, hi and welcome to xda! They do things like this on occasion.... Some flash to make phones work on other carriers. I didn't sign off on his flashing but am curious about the results!

Hi, I've been here a while...
People flash unbranded firmwares of the SAME model to get rid of carrier specific bloatware. NEVER a firmware meant for another model. But I can only speak on behalf of sane people.
If you're curious, flash your device and tell us all about it.

sometimes I will say bootloader mismatch... I wouldn't recommend using odin a firmware that isn't for ur phone, just flash a rom, and this way u can see if it will work,
I flashed both roms sweet and wanam from exynox 910c on my h variant everything work fine but under the baseband version in the about debice i have test1 and the lte doesnt work even though i have it in the network settings and in the service mode
I have an s7 edge sm-g935w8 (Canadian) model and I've heard on the firmware ending with APD has a battery drain bug and I'm thinking about downgrading the stock ROM to the rom ending in APB. I downloaded the ROM but the site didn't specify which carrier it is for. I am on Rogers but I'm wondering if it turns out to be a bell ROM it would still work. I compared a rogers ROM and bell ROM and they have the exact file name. So can anyone confirm its OK to flash? I don't want to brick it. I read somewhere that all the Canadian Roms are the same.

Thank you very much but I have downloaded the firmware already but I'm just not sure if its rogers or bell. What were to happen if I flashed it and it was bell and it didn't work? Soft brick? I would be able to go into stock recovery and factory reset if anything.
Haha nevermind I realized it was the wind mobile carrier version that I downloaded.
I know that the AT&T and T-Mobile variant of the S7E can use the custom international firmware, but can our variant do the same? Like can I use any of the SM-G935U or SM-G935F, I know this is a newbie question, but I'm asking because I had a S4 and I could load custom roms on my S4, but I'm not sure about now since I switched to iphone then switched back.

Do you have the U phone? If it's the U firmware you have then you can flash major US carrier firmware onto the phone and vice versa.

So I'm guessing that the SM-G935F firmware is something I can't install on my SM-G935V, since its using different hardware than my phone? (Kinda wanted to ask because theres more selection on the F firmware than the U firmware

You're right. The F cannot be installed unless someone finds a way to port it over but the U firmware can be flashed without a problem.

From what I've seen that is correct. There are different roms available for each carrier as well if you plan on swapping a lot.
I have an s7 edge (G935W8) which is from canada. I am using it in india right now. I want to get volte working on my device which from searches i've found that i need to have indian firmware installed on my phone.
So i tried several firmwares, MM and N also, but no luck with odin. It is giving errors straight away ( repartition operation failed and oltht). Tried different firmwares, only ap and csc, repartition ticked and unticked and all the stuff that i've founded on the internet.
I don't want to root, i want only official Indian firmware on my S7 EDGE from CANADA (SM-G935W8).
Please guys help me out with that. I want it done.

So many videos out there for the other countries for changing the csc. Why not for canadian one?
because G935W8 have csc for canadian carriers, not same csc as G935F the international one

Yes, you can get back to the stock firmware from custom ROM. All of the stock firmwares/os are here: https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/ and can be flashed with odin, resetting the phone to factory default state, i.e. as you buy it now and without any info on it. No matter if it was custom ROM or not before that.

Depends on the model. If on the site there is canadian firmware for that model of the s7 - can be done via odin. If the phone is specific and there is no canadian firmware - can't be done.

Any candian csc which could support volte from jio in india?
Have a question here, we get a lot of US imported phones here in Pakistan, mostly AT&T and Verizon S7 edge phones.
They've got carrier bloat and whatnot, I remember reading people flashing Verizon ROMs to get that to work properly on their AT&T phone and flashing AT&T on a T-Mobile phone to get that to work properly, so if one flashes a G935U firmware on a G935V, is it expected to work fine and act as an ordinary Snapdragon 820 S7 edge with no carrier bloat or anything?
All replies will be appreciated.
Thanks

I have, but there have been reports of it not working for some people as well, so I wanted to know if it's a legit method or if it's trial and error and it works for some and it doesn't work for others, because if it does work officially, then it'd solve a huge headache on choosing US variant phones here and we can all relax since the 935U firmware can be flashed on carrier branded phones.
Now, I need to get my hands on an American S7 edge to test this out myself.
Off course without testing nothing can be confirmed ... But most people r too faint hearted to try it

All of them. AP includes the system, recovery and cache, CP includes modem, BL includes bootloader, and CSC includes sales code.
The ROMs for S7 usually come with CSC and HOME_CSC, the latter will not wipe your device and keep the Verizon CSC which may cause issues and require you to factory reset your phone, the normal CSC files wipes the data and switches your CSC to the new one you're trying to flash.
Choose whichever one you want but I'd suggest the normal CSC just to be safe.

The main issue with me was poor battery life which was resolved when I reverted back to marshmallow. But I have yet to test the battery life on nougat. Other than this, phone is running smoothly and it feels light now due to no bloatware.
