White lines on screen - I don't find the answer - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi everybody.
Yesterday, I replaced the screen of a LG G2 which was broken.
Everything in the procces went okay, but when I turned on the device, the screen had white lines across the screen. The main fact and more strange thing is that it only shows white lines when the device is on the Launcher or some system apps, when it goes to Settings, Twitter...or any app, the screen works perfectly.
I've tried upgrading to Lollipop, coming back to Jelly Bean, upgrade to KitKat...and the problem doesn't go away. Don't forget to say one important thing: I'VE TRIED THE KERNEL FOR JDI DISPLAYS, and that doesn't fix nothing at all.
I don't think the screen is broken because as I have said, it works perfectly in the apps.
Best regards, waiting for answers! :good:

TF101 Screen issue

Hey guys,
I've got a TF101 that has a really odd problem, here's the gist..
- ASUS logo, the screen is 100% fine
- Stock recovery (with green Android and ! in the middle), screen flashes
- Android, screen shows nothing, backlight works fine, everything works fine over HDMI
Now what's really weird is if I launch something like Gallery where the majority of the screen is black, the screen will come on, but text and icons will be low quality, almost as if there are hundreds of dead pixels.
Has anyone seen this before? I've tried reinstalling ASUS' honeycomb and upgrading to ICS again, but that didn't do anything. I wanted to try to get a custom ROM on it to see if that helped, but I can't because CWM results in a blank screen.

[Q] Screen keeps black

Hi Guys,
i got a problem with my good old HD2: I flashed the SonyArcHD ROM on my device, it worked for a few weeks, but then, i did nothing, the screen went black. First i was able to "turn it back on" when i pushed it a little bit against the board, that worked for a few more days, but thet the screen went black forever. The background light is working, it even boots up(it happened when i just used it like elsewhen), i got even a haptic feedback from the unlock handle on the lockscreen, what means that it works perfectly "behind the black wall", but it shows nothing on the screen. Not even the bootloader. But the funny thing is, i never dropped it again, or damaged it anyways. It just hapened from nothing!
So has anyone a idea what i coul do?
Thanks, Jukpulfer.
Sorry for my badass english...
IMO you should check LCD to motherboard connector, maybe it is loose or dirty because of moisture/dust/whatever.
If no improvement(aka solved), I'm afraid you LCD is dying!

PLEASE Help!!!! NookColor Screen Is Green

I gave a NookColor to my oldest son 1 year ago, which was rooted & had CyanogenMod7 on it. The other day he said he was booting it & he pushed some buttons while it booted & when he did the screen turned green. It has never been dropped & he has never had a problem with it before this. You can see the icons, fonts & it still functions properly in all other respects...the screen is just green. The screen is also green during the CyanogenMod startup screen, then it goes black, then is green again during the CyanogenMod boot animation. I can tell that the screen is working normal, as it is lit up & black when it is switching between the boot screens.
I have spent many hours searching the net & cannot find this problem ever happening before. How can I change the background back to normal? Is this a hardware or firmware problem??? I have taken it apart & unplugged & reseated the video connector, just to be sure that that wasn't the issue & I've tried putting different Roms on it, including the new CyanogenMod10 for NookColor & it still has a green screen. I even restored it back to Stock & the screen looks almost normal, but when I played the Introduction video, the video doesn't look like the colors are right or something.
Does anyone know how to fix this or if it is even fixable?
Someone...PLEASE help!
Thanks!
Similar Problem here, except half of screen is green.

I have a similar problem, except only half of my screen is green. The half that is green remains in the same place, regardless of orientation, so I am guessing this is a hardware problem.

My experience is similar, except obviously I have half a screen of odd looking video and half normal. I also tried reverting to the stock rom, but with no success. Fortunately when reading books, i.e. just black text on a white background, the effect is not very noticeable, so the NC is currently back to being an ebook reader.
Still I'd love to know how to fix it. I see powerbookmedic (I have no connection to, or experience of, them) sells used parts for the NC, but is this a display problem, which seems likely, or a logic board problem? Buying both would be more than the whole thing is worth.

What is wrong with my screen?

I had a Korean LG G2 for a week a while back. However, on the 7th day the screen exhibit some strange problems. Which I returned it to the seller.
I've tried to google this problem but I (1) cannot find the right search terms and (2) do not see anyone with this problem. I was on a custom rom and flashed it back to stock rom but the problem persists. It feels like a mix of overheat and faulty screen.
As you can tell the clock widget is "stuck" on several screens (even recovery). If I put the phone in the fridge or leave it untouched overnight it reverts back to normal and usable for 15 mins then the problems comes up again.
I want to ask what is this problem and is it prevalent in korean LG G2?
I really like LG G2 but fear of buying another one that has this same problem.
Anyone has any ideas?
Yesterday I've noticed similar problem, I use swiftkey with a red theme and white letters (I don't think it's app's fault) and after displaying it for some time and then switching to other screen it looks like the keyboard is "burned" on the screen. It's not visible on color background but on medium light gray it's easy to seen. After some time without using keyboard it disappears.

It seems that this is similar to the black line issue some people had. If you have warranty send it back. I think only way to fix is to change the panel and/or digitizer
Before you send it back, have you downloaded any new ROMs? Flashed CWM/TWRP? Because when I did the following I had a problem similar to that. It appeared that whatever my phone was running did not support my type of screen, therefore I downloaded a specific type of Kernel that fixed it right up. If you think this applies to you I will try to dig up what Kernel it was.

Screen stopped working with strange moments

Hi,
After Xmas I made factory reset with TWRP and I made an upgrade to CM13.(6.0)
It was working fine.
When I was trying to make next daily update, after reboot, screen became black and nothing shown up.
I was trying a lot of things since that moment.
When I was going back from service point (I really want to sort it out) when they told me it is probably LCD broken (i have broken glass, but 1 year ago, so I do not believe it can be screen),
when I take phone out I spotted that keys are highlighted so I swiped and it locked out and shown screen! it was working perferctly fine,
so I decided that it is best moment to flash newest CM to solve issues, but after reboot screen was black again.
I can enter download mode so it is visible in Odin, but screen is black in every mode.
There is only quick flash on screen when turning on and also really short moment of Samsung Galaxy logo which becoming dark quite quickly.
I flashed stock rom(5.0), but nothing changed, despite of that I know phone is turning on somehow because I hear music on turning on...
Can someone help?
I really doubt that it can be hardware issue.
Can it be something with BL ? How can I solve it...?
