I too was getting the pausing issue . I decided to try to STACK the RavPower on top of the Samsung and low and behold NO MORE PAUSES. NO need for daydream. The phone just charges. to 100 I have this set up in two places and it works well.
The problem seems to be the adapters are not putting out enough juice for one phone So two stacked is better. I ordered 4A USB adapters to see if I can go back to one charger. But right now I have wireless charging

Ok, my cousin's phone has a charging problem. the led stays on red. I know ive seen this problem on the forum not too long ago but i cant find it. so can anyone please direct me to that thread or solve the problem. thanks a lot!
Here's a thread with similar problem http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=52105
One of the main things is that to charge the phone you must use the standard mains charger (1 amp output) and not the usb charger or any other charger. Often the battery needs a kick start to get going and may need a while before it starts charging - so be patient. If it does not at all after this prob dead battery and you need a new one.
lsnizzle: please use useful topic titles in future.
Remember, Lithium batteries shouldn't be allowed to run to 0% charge really, for their best health.

Q: Suddenly my car charger (cigarette lighter plugged) is not working anymore. After 5 mins. my device stops charging..... is there anybody having the same problem and knows how to solve it?
If it's after a period of time maybe a battery contact issue?

If you've already read the sticky posts relating to car chargers and your (mystery brand) charger isn't one of those, then maybe your phones battery terminals and connectors need careful cleaning with a cotton bud moistened with contact cleaner or IPA. I had a problem with my mains charger ceasing to charge my TyTN II after a minute or two a long time ago and after cleaning as described, the problem went away. Be sure not to spray the contact cleaner or IPA onto the phone or battery, only the cotton bud/Q-tip and then gently rub that on the spring contacts and battery terminals. How does charging via mains adapter or PC USB port go?

It still could be a battery contact issue as voltages may differ slightly when using the car charger compared to the other forms of charging. As an example if the Kaiser is set to stop charging when the supply voltage drops below a certain value and the car chargers voltage is lower to start with (and fluctuates with normal driving/electrical usage) then that may explain things. It's well worth doing this cleaning every so often anyway as a matter of course so give it a try and see what happens.
Additionally, could heat be a factor eg if it's sitting on a hot dash or near heater vents (the device is designed to not recharge above certain temperatures)?

Thanks for the advice, i will give it a try
if you have any adapters that allow for another usb input, nice a headphone adapter, or the HTC Multifunction Audio Cable YC A300, a ycable or anything with a USB in, try that first.
if that doesn't work, take the unit into your retailer and they will give you a new (or refurbed) unit, as your USB port may have a pin or two out of whack.
This may be weird, but my tilt used to charge just fine from most USB chargers(car, AC, usb cords). One fine day it quit charging off most chargers except the official AC charger from AT&T. I tried to fiddle with the USB pins inside as one looked like it might be a bit bent/damaged. No luck.
However, yesterday I noticed that My Settings->System->Power->Advanced settings page had following option checked:
'When device is turned on, do not charge the battery when connected to the PC'.
Once I unchecked it, it started charging of PC USB cables (obviously), but strangely enough also charging from my car charger(s). Hope this works out for you or someone else...

It is probably because your normal USB pin 4 and 5 in the cable of your other chargers are not shorted to signal that there is no data connection. So your phone thinks it is connected to a PC (or a device which might send it data), hence not charging the battery according to that setting
I have a similar infuriating problem, i have had a MDA VArio III for over a year now, had an issue with my last one and had a replacement issued in October. Now i have used the Brodit active holder (ciggy lighter version) since day one over a year ago and wit the new MDA as well. now all of a sudden phone will not charge in the holder, borrowed a friends active cradle still no charge, used a no brand usb ciggy ligther charger and charges fine!!!!
When phoe n is placed in the holder orange charging light comes on but phone does not charge and the light goes out 5 mins later!!!
any ideas anyone???
thanks

Problem solved - Pin 5 on my phone was ever so slightly out of alignment, bent back into place and all is now well! strange it only affected the brodit holders, nothing else!
Car charger failure explained
I also experienced this same problem and actually broke my phones mini usb plug in frustration at lack of charging. Got it fixed again though
The reason for this problem has become apparent since my phone was repaired. In your car, like my car when the heater is switched on it will gradually heat up the cigarette lighter socket. My charger cable like yours has a thermal safety circuit built into it. So when the ciggy socket heats up the heat is transferred to the charger plug and breaks the elec charging circuit. You might see me driving around London with my charger plug hanging out of my window (to cool it down) on a Winter's day!!! Honk if you do.
The solution would be a cheaper charger without the thermal circuit built in. Go into Maplins or PC World and ask them for that..... They dont know what your talking about, because I have already tried.......! Good luck
You just need to make sure to enable your phone to charge when connected to PC.
Start->Setting->System->Power->
UN-CHECK the box that said "When device is turned on, DO NOT CHARGE the battery when connected to PC"
I'm having an issue when the Focus is charging. In this state, the lock screen will not slide up to give me access to the phone. Typically it will slide up about 1/4" only then comes back down.
Is there a setting for this or is this a feature ;-}
Anyone else having similar issues?
Problem Solved! See post 5.
I am able to unlock my phone while charging. Have you tried rebooting the phone and seeing if the problem persists after that?
Mine if fine and can lock/unlock/use while charging.
I can unlock, but I can't get into the settings menu at all when it's charging. I can do everything else, and get into settings in other ways if they're linked from a program, just not through the main interface while charging. It's very strange.
Problem Solved - Don't buy AT&T ZERO Charger Kit
Hi Everyone,
I found the problem causing my Focus to "pseudo Lock up" when charging.
As I was troubleshooting this problem, I first noticed my focus did not lockup when using a car charger or when plugged into my computer. This led me to consider why it was only happening when plugged into the wall. So, I tried a different charger, the one which came with my Focus, and there was no problem. Then I tried the charger that came with my Tilt 2, working fine there too.
So the problem is with the wall charger I was using. This charger is the AT&T ZERO Charger Kit. At this point, I am not sure if it the problem is with the individual charger or with the ZERO brand. I will be returning this charger tonight and at that time will ask them to allow me to try another one to see if the same problem manifests.
I will report back to let you all know.

I second this! I was using an LG charger with same specs as the charger that came with Focus. It charged it but wouldn't let me use a lot of features of the phone. The stock charger works fine, as I use it at work all day. Another day of streaming from Zune and Last.FM for 6-7 hours!
Do not buy the AT&T ZERO Charging Kit
Hi Everyone,
So I confirmed the AT&T ZERO Charging Kit does not work properly with the Samsung Focus.
I returned the wall charger I purchased and while at the store, we opened another unit and tried it and the problem replicated.
At this point, I do not know if the problem is limited to the Focus or is all Windows Phones. If anyone else has a ZERO wall charger, and a different phone, please let us know your findings.
Do not buy this device to use with a Focus as it is not compatible with the Focus.
Same problem here - AT&T Zero charger and Focus will not unlock when charging. When I take the cable out of the charging brick and plug the cable into a USB port on my computer the phone resumes charging AND unlocks just fine.
The iGo charger that I have works fine no lock screen issues.
On a separate note, my work exchange server mandates the lock screen, but unlike WinMo 6.x you can't set the time interval when the lock screen activates. I had mine at 24 hours of dormancy before it would activate. WP7 only allows you to keep the screen on longer. I hope they add some more options for this. I can't stand having to punch in the four digit code every time I use the phone.
I am using the stock charger and it slides up 1/4 of the way several times then it finally sides up. The touch is then slow to respond, but it eventually works again. Anyone else having this issue? I have tried this charger and an old Tilt 2 charger.
Review of AT&T Zero Charging Kit
There is a review of the AT&T ZERO Charging Kit at:
http://cwmcgowen.wordpress.com/2010/11/28/review-att-zero-charging-kit/
This is the same charging kit that was incompatible with my Samsung Focus.
I too like many have had the dreaded "wireless charging paused" issue. I solved it by stacking the RAvPower pd on top of the samsung pad. Somehow the addition charging field is enough. Worked without fail.
I am orderining 4Amp USB adapters hoping the additional Amperage will eliminate the need for two chargers stacked.

Since today, my phone keeps cycling charging and not charging constantly on dash charge mode. If I use the dash cable with another charger, the phone charges constantly (but not dash obviously). If I use the dash charger with a non dash cable, the phone also charges constantly (but not dash). If I use the dash charger and cable with another phone (Huawei for example), it charges that phone without problem.
Please help.
I would recommend cleaning the pins inside the ubc-c portion of the dash cable that are not fully inside the hub, I believe these are the proprietary charging points for dash charge and get dirty and very finicky
Try cleaning the pins on the cable as described above and if that doesn't work, I think it's time for you to buy a new Dash cable.
My bad, sorry for not updating.
I have resolved this issue. It turns out the cable was dying, so I bought a new cable. Same wall charger.
