Any clue guys......??

If I'm not mistaken, the stock kernel by default keeps 2 of the big cores off until the load requires all 4 cores. If you want all 4 cores on by default, you can flash a custom kernel like AK or Boeffla (you can enable all 4 cores using the Boeffla-Config all).

I read somewhere that oneplus uses 2 core rotation to control heat generation. i.e. Only 2 big cores will be online at a time.
when the two cores get above a specific temperature they will shut down and the other 2 big cores will start.

Okay.. interesting. Thanks.

Core Control

Hey guys, i already searched the forum but didn't found anything.
Is there any app to control how many cores of the cpu are active like core control on one x?
Thanks in advance

it depends on the kernel you are using. if theres an option to disable tegra hotplug, then you can control how many cores are used. you can control how many cores are used with the trinity kernel and the trinity kernel toolbox.

[Q] How to disable mpdecision

Is it as simple as deleting or renaming the file in system/bin on PA stock kernel

No. It's more than just deleting stuff. You have to dig deep into the kernel and find the code that is enabling mpdecision.
Try using trickster mod app. There's a setting where tiu can simply disable mpdecision. As a result, it will bring all four cores up and running.

If you're removing it you would use a kernel that has a mp decision replacement like auto_plug or intelli_plug. They act as the core logic for multiprocessors, it would be foolish to use nothinh at all due to all cores not being needed. You must remember all android apps aren't mutithreaded let alone optimized for quad cores.

Find 5 not going into Deep sleep

Hey everyone,
I recently installed CPU spy plus on my find 5 and I am noticing that the phone is never going into deep sleep even when it is on stand by. Also as can be seen in the screenshot I took it does not seem to be scaling well. It seems that it is just jumping between 384Mhz and 1.5Ghz only and nothing in between. I am running stock ColurROM and kernel. Is this normal behaviour for this phone or could there be something wrong?
Battery life is still prettey good, it can last a day with moderate to heavy use, but i believe with proper scaling the battery could last more.

I'll keep an eye on this and submit a bug report if I find the same behavior. Thanks for posting.. What firmware version BTW?
A new public beta was released today updating the Find 5 to 4.2.2. Please try that if you have not already updated.

This is 20% over on that single core! I have it limited now. Cuz' things get a bit freaky at 6900mhz/no limit-single core
Stock Is 1866mhz MAX. 533mhz MIN.
-/+ .010v added
Max temperature is 71c benchmarking/Gaming-27c ambient
No Thermal Throttle
Could you explain better what are you doing exactly?
A bios mod? A software overclock? Is the gpu affected too?
Software mod.
It can be but it seems like it isn't affected by the 3 available options. So this is only CPU
I had a thought the gpu could need more power and with the cpu unlocked, the gpu options themselves don't work. But lack of time.
I'm having troubles doing full recoveries though. I can't seem to use USB, it has an option for dvd though, but I don't have one.

my s4 heat

hi after playing game 10 to 15 min my s4 heating what to do
Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I believe that's normal.
What you can do if you're not rooted is just putting getting your Power saving ON. You only need the CPU option selected on.
After doing that your phone won't heat nearly as much, but you will lose a bit of performance.
my set is rooted friend
Measure your temp using cpuz and gpuz and post screenshot
