my s4 heat - Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

hi after playing game 10 to 15 min my s4 heating what to do

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I believe that's normal.
What you can do if you're not rooted is just putting getting your Power saving ON. You only need the CPU option selected on.
After doing that your phone won't heat nearly as much, but you will lose a bit of performance.

my set is rooted friend

Measure your temp using cpuz and gpuz and post screenshot

What temperature are you guys getting on your at&t s4?

What are you guys getting for the temperature for your galaxy s4 on at&t? I have the black mist 16gb s4. I'm getting this on normal usage that isn't browsing the Internet. On Internet it gets hotter. Is it normal? I'm also using aokp's rom.
I was wondering if I'm experiencing overheating and a faulty device. Should I return my device for a replacement?
I've attached a file w my battery and cpu temp

Same!!!! You worked out what it is?
same like wtf is this
These images don't prove any real problem.
To be sure of battery draining, just find and install betterbatterystats application and check partial wakelocks tab.
Upload the ss here for checking.
Unleashed by my Nexus 4
Post battery stats please
Usually power "drain" is due to wakelock

I had this. I assume it is due to some script from a rogue website. I rebooted and it's fine.

[Q] system_service takes a large amount of CPU Usage

First of all I am not good at English. So you may have some misunderstanding .
Today, My Note 3(model sm-n9005 France with offical rom XXUENC2) became very slow and hot.
I found the cpu usage up to 96% with no large app running
so I uninstall Apps I recently installed , But take no used……:crying:
then I use adb to check the cpu usage.
here is the screen shot

Attach file A.jpg
Attach file B.jpg
You may find that the system_service takes almost half of the CPU usage
than I check the CPU usage by threads
Attach file C.jpg
I don't understand why binder cost so much cpu usage

may anyone help me ? Or may you need more information?
anybody can help?

Can't solve this note 4 riddle

See pics below. I noticed that my phone is always awake.
I have tried gsam battery and it offers no inclination as to what is causing it.
I have turned off all location settings. But she still stays awake. I don't think my battery life is bad, but I have ocd and know it isn't right. Any ideas? If I reboot phone it will act normally until at some point phone again stays awake.
In below example my screen on time is 1.5 hours.

One of your apps is causing it
Bummer. Can't root (Verizon) so hard to tell which one.

Battery drain... Is this normal?

Hi Guys,
I am getting a massive battery drain over night while the screen is locked.
This doesn't make sense to me. I am rooted with Arter97 Kernel and the deodoxed rom from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/s6-edge-plus/development/deodexed-aoh3-t3195044
It was working fine a few days ago.
I have attached some pictures.

If it started a few days ago, its most likely some stuff you changed? Try uninstall apps you recently installed, might help.
Seems you have very bad phone signal. Turn airplane mode on then turn on wifi and let it idle for 2 hours and see how much it drains
