Xperia X10i Flash Mode

Hi guys,,, just bought myself a X10i to play with,,, figured I,ve flash the thing with a rom from the developers forum,
This is where I came unstuck,,,, cant for the life of me get it into flash mode.
Instructions were as follows
1 With fone OFF. Hold down back button and insert usb cable, green light comes on and hit enter. What bloody enter, on the fone or on your keyboard. I,ve tried both, fone just keeps on booting into the main screen, nothing even resembles a flash mode screen. Tried this untill my thumb nearly bled.
Someone help please.

Read the tuts in the dev forum. P.S. no custom roms yet but there is root.

Try hold down "back button" without battery then insert USB cable and then insert battery.

When it says to hit enter, that is to continue from the screen (on the PC) that says "press any key to continue" when you are doing the steps for rooting. If you don't have that window ready the phone will only stay in flash mode for about 5 seconds and then it will continue to boot. So, just make sure you are ready with the PC before entering flash mode.

My phone is also x10i.I have trouble to enter in flash mode.It shows up the green LED but flash tool says it occurs error and plug your phone in flash mode.
What should I do?Help me , plz.

check drivers (install SE PC suite and let it atleast detect the phone once in FLASH mode)...
also it might help to disable any antivirus (worked for me)

cannot enter the flash mode
Hi,
I know this post is pretty old, but still I'm struglig the second day now to get into flash mode and still no luck despite trying every method there is on the web.
I've got Xperia X10i mini pro, reinstalled standard ROM with PC companion just to make sure it's nothing with the software or any modifications I made to it.
I'm guiding myself with instruction given here:

in order to get my bootloader unlocked
what I've done so far:
-installed Android SDK incl. SDK Tools, SDK Platform-tools, Google USB driver package. Not installed any API from SDK.
-put android_winusb.inf (18 KB size) in C:\android-sdk-windows\extras\google\usb_driver
-in general- everyting given here: wiki.cyanogenmod.com/wiki/Howto:_Install_the_Android_SDK#Windows

in my opinion meaning it works as it should.
So I turn the phone off, unplug the cable both from computer and the phone, take the abttery out, plug both end of USB cable where these should be, hold the Back button (tried with Volume up too) and put the battery in.
The result is it only goes into flash mode for several seconds (confirmed by SuperOneClisk log) and then goes into charging mode. nothing gets displayed on the screen. Only when PC Companion is on it detects it, than looses it and pops up with a window on how to properly connect the device... :/
So can someone please tell me what I do wrong?
Why it doesn't stay in flash mode?
PS. when I enter *#*#7378423#*#* to access the service menu, after pressing the last * the numbers just disappear and nothing happens...

Mode download doesn't work

I want upgrade my LG G2 with a new rom 5.xX
This phone have only the operator update. No custom, no trwp, nothing...
I installed drivers and when i want access to download mode. I can't. I use the good proccess with vol up then plug usb cable always with vol up presses.
follow this procces after a little moment my phone show me battery logo charging.
So i can't access to download mode.
I would use this process
t was NOT bricked. I finally tried playing around with the LG Mobile Support Tool (B2CAppSetup.exe). Of course it detected that my phone already had the latest firmware from T-Mobile, but then I clicked Options>Upgrade Recovery.
It downloaded for a while then I noticed it had put my phone into download mode (it said "Rooted" in red letters at the bottom). Then it flashed the same firmware over and I immediately tested, it entered download mode right away. But I didn't end up needing that as Stumproot was able to brute force it now after the recovery flash.
Anyway, I couldn't find an answer anywhere else. Most results also have a bricked phone, but that wasn't my issue. This solved my problem and maybe it could work for others.
but it's impossible for me to install B2appsetup on my pc the installation begin then stop after 5s then nothing.
I have Win 10.
Do you have a solution for me , please??

so you have tmobile. right?
and only 5.0.2 lillipop is availabe stock.. if you go asop or cm the theres 5.1.1- 6.0
then do what the guide says to do here.

try the skr tools , with the nuke download . read as i havent used it but i read that might bring download. the other way is to short circuit the motherboard.. but ill go read skr tools if i was you.

Bootloop, No recovery and No download Mode.

Hello,
I was trying to flash Twrp recovery in my phone using flashify. It said flash successfully and i rebooted. It starting bootlooping. I manually tried by pressing Volume up + Home+Power keys it was still doing bootloop. I tried to goto download mode by pressing Volume Down+ Home+Power keys it still kept bootlooping even USB jig didn't work. I need your valued suggestion about what to do next.

Just flash your firmware from Odin using a PC, I had a similar problem in my tablet, it didn't had download mode either and that worked, try it.

When I connect it to Pc it keeps bootlooping and pc gives sound of connecting then disconnecting of hardware.

How did you flash a firmware, when your tablet didn't have download mode? What ODIN version did you use? please tell us we need your experience.

Turn off your device, keep your finger in the button until the device is off or pull off the battery, connect it to the PC and flash your firmware through Odin, at that moment I used the 3.70 i think but you can use the latest version it's fine, that should install download mode and the whole firmware if that doesn't work I'm afraid I don't know how else I can help, that's what I did and it worked

You are right I did it the same way and it worked for me too. I actually was thinking the phone was quite dead bur or wasn't, I just flashed the recovery firmware 4.4.4 Russian and if you ask me food the step by step procedure it was just like this:
1. I started the Odin 3.07 and connected my device to see is it was detected or not, my surprise the Odin catch it, and shown added and the port number was 18.
2. I just pulled out the USB cable from my laptop and loaded the BL file only to just flash the bootloader file and see what would happen, I was trying it bcz I was totally disappointed with the device i.e. Grand Prime 530H Duos. I also noticed that my device was not stable even with that black screen it used to restart after almost five minutes in that case. And I knew that in 5 minute I will just be able to flash BL file. The BL file was loaded on the Odin now and I inserted the USB cable again while keeping the vol down button pressed to my laptop when the Odin again found and connected with my device, I didnot take any more time to flash BL file.
3. As soon as i had not flashed all the SW therefore, my device didn't boot properly, and I thought it didn't work but when my device was connected to the computer I just listened the startup tone of the Android 4.4.4. From that moment I knew my device was not dead now so i had to select all four files from the recovery firmware of 4.4.4 and connect the device to odin even there was no sign of download mode, as soon i clicked the Start button i saw many things in the Odin which were good enough to see. after the firmware flashed the device got started.

Hello guys! Could you please help me with the same issue? The difference is that Odin doesn't recognize when I plug in my phone! I don't know what else to do. It's a G530H.

Now as far as knew the phone is on but showing nothing, I had to select all four files from the recovery firmware of 4.4.4 and connect the device to odin even there was no sign of download mode, as soon i clicked the Start button i saw many things in the Odin bar which were good enough to see. after the firmware flashed the device got started.

Is your USB cable original is it working on other devices? And are you using a USB 2.0 port, that is very much necessary, for Odin and some other hardware/software environment applications. And you also must have Samsung USB drivers installed in your PC, you can also try all this process on some other PCs

Hello!
Yes, that USB works with other phones. And even not being the original one, it was working to transfer files before this issue...
It is a USB 2.0 port, and even when I go to "Device Manage" on Windows, it doesn't show any port with an unknown device or something like that...

Meizu m2 note bricked.

I have meizu m2 note. Its now bricked. I was using sp flash tool to unlock the bootloader and install twrp recovery.
i was following the guide giving on youtube. I can't attach an outside link here.
So i did everything this guide said, but on the last step when i switched off my phone and connected to the usb port. The sp flash tool stopped working i waited for 5-10 mins. Finally it crashed. Now when i try to connect my phone it says usb device not recognised (the last device you connected to this computer malfunctioned). I cannot start my phone. I tried pressing the power button for 10 secs, tried pressing volume + with power button, nothing happens.
Anybody have any idea how to solve this.

Go to download old version Flyme os 4+ any but original rom you have must install,
And dow load any latest sp tool,
And also downlaod latest all mtk devices drivers,
If you have system knoledge you can install all of these pc softwares,
Test it once again your phone connecting to computer,
Just detected only nothing. Can do that its just detected your will be alive soon but its very easy if you know a little bit mobile knowledge,
Lets go to process
Step 1 check best and good branded usb connecting cable, test to connect usb cable to your phone,
Step 2 extract Flyme stock rom, and extract mtk sp tool,
Step 3 open sp tool showing error there is no any scatter. Or download file dont worry, da file availble at sptools folder you can go and select, and scatter. File availble at flyme stock rom folder lets check it then select firmware all formate and install that you have to select that option, then you select download and now connect your phone just leave ituntill done then your phone is will alive feel happy like me if you need any more information any other problem connect. To. Me

I been able to install LineageOS, I fixed it by pressing home and menu button, it disconnect and reconnect and i been able to Re-flash it with the recovery and when i tried to install Lineage, my error was gone (error 7)

Hi I'm new for this forum II have a lenovo vibe k4 note that will be bricked during upgrade session...I'm already used RR version 5.8.5. when I tried to next update my phone stuck up at and not finish to flash but I'm waiting to long,then my phone has reach a battery low and will it be turn off.I'm try to open but stuck at logo LENOVO.to solved I'm flash a firmware s232 using sp flash tool but I'm worst I have no luck when my phone connect to USB its automatically open up and vibrate when I pressed DOWNLOAD button in sp flash tool.Please help me how to re flash or downgrage my phone when its come like this

Press Download button fist, then connect your phone after. Charging your phone to full, then try again. Maybe you should to change the usb port or download the other rom (I downloaded from firmwarefile.com)

Thank you for your time sir but I have no luck when I pressed Download button then connect USB phone to computer its vibrate and screen open lenovo logo display that's why sp flash tool didn't work

Did you install driver for you smartphone? And try this: on flash tool go Options --> option ... --> connection, choose "with battery".

Replace Cable for Mobile not Other Cable

Maybe cable didn't work caused cable be used is for jbl.

First install Mediatek USB Drivers and then click on download button and after that connect your phone. And that should help you.

Assuming that your pc has already been installed with mediatek usb drivers,you have to click download first and then connect usb to mobile(must be in shutdown mode) by holding both volume buttons,then after at max 2 min downloading will be done. This process has worked fine with me...hope it helps...

I had choose with battery option , latest lenovo usb driver installed then after pressing download and then connecting my phone it does Nothing it shows logo and starts charging in power off mode please do something???????

How about now ? Have you found a solution to your problem? I also need the same solution because I can't flash with the error that always appears s_ft_enable_dram_failed.
