Hello guys. Most of xperia users use their music (walkman) app. It's been improving day by day. Now the new xperia devices create normal audio as a high res audio. And make the sound even better. I've been using Walkman since xperia s.series. That time it was blue icon for walkman. In this discussion I am presenting you the beta version of music application and pure high res sample. Sound modders can use the samples to test the sound. Sorry if I wrote anything wrong
xperia walkman is a trademark of sony mobile corporation. The app belongs to Sony. I'm just sharing it nothing else. Just want everyone to use music and let it improve. And sample's can be under copyright law. So don't use it without the authors permission

Default picture can be changed very easily. Just extract music apk then find the default image in the drawable folders then change it how you want.
But i didn't change. It came because I played that song. You guys now can change artist wallpaper with the music beta. So you guys can also set the artist wallpaper.
Hi OP did u mod something on the music app?

Actually Xperia Z2 and after sony devices have hi res play back compability. Where these phones comes with dsee engine. That created normal audio into a hi res audio.
But sample audios are pure originally hi res audio. When this type of music comes dsee engine goes off automatically. Try listening to those sample with good quality headphones or speakers. You will feel the hi res compability.
So that u can feel the real sound experience with ur music application that's why I'm uploading those hi res sample audios.
If you guys have pure hi res audio then please upload here let every one enjoy. I will add the download link to the main post.
@Toxizen are you sure, Are these musics "HR"? Because there isn't "HR" icon with.Check real HR music file...

I have already send ur problem to the sony walkman builders. HOPE THEY GONNA FIX IT SOON. But I don't have this kind of problem u know. Try using another pictures. I think it could be ur sd card issue or the picture file is not acceptable for music info edit.
I see u have a lot of hi res musics. Why won't you share the links here so that anyone can listen to thoose? I requested everybody to share the hi res musics files here.
Another thing there are two beta versions I uploaded here. Can you check thee other one and report here. Thank you.

i haven't tried ver A.1.2, will try later,
and i don't think the problem is sdcard, because in that attemp, the file is in internal storage, and hopefully it isnt caused because i use overlay to change music into walkman
but thx for reporting it :fingers-crossed:

I'm an anime fan. So Japanese musics are quite familiar to me. But I don't use music application much. I use spotify premium. It's got everything I need with better sound.
Can you upload thoose musics to drive, mega or Dropbox? It would be great for everyone to download.

htc audio booster
hi all. i was using this audio booster on my dopod D802 when the os was in Chinese language, dud after i change the os into English language i loose the audio booster, it wasn't simply it the program list like it was previously in the Chinese os. Since i've found several of audio booster cab that i've download and install on my dopod under the English os after installation and softrest the audio booster can be found in the PROGRAM list but never i've arrived to made it work. the audio booster load well but not able to CHECK the EQUALIZER case; thus no change can be made to the quality of the sound. Reading some forums that talk about it, i think that there's a dll file missing or some tweak should be made on the audio booster the enable the EQUALIZER case to be CHECK. anyone have a way of solving this problem??
I have the HTC Equalizer on my phone, works fine. Sounds similar to what you describe above, it provides an equalizer for the plugged-in headset but no preamp/boost. However, I never use it because I use TCPMP for all audio and video and it has its own equalizer & preamp/boost which works on the plug and bluetooth headphones. Use TCPMP and you don't need the program you are talking about.
Well if you have the htc audio booster in your phone and working fine, please extract the exe. file and post it on the forum so that we can download it and install it... dud the htc audio booster is an independent booster that boost the wmp sound only if the handsetfree is plugin, and if you using another media player that have an equalizer, as far as the handsetfree is plug onto the device, the booster will still load reboost up the output sound of that media player after the integrated equalizer of your media player boost up. no need of bluetooth or stuff whatever... thanks for help
Audio Booster works on my X7510. It came pre-installed on my stock ROM. It will only work if you have a headset plugged into the device.

It looks the same with my X7510. The only difference I can see is the skin color. Mine is all BLACK background with WHITE as the color of the outlines and letters.

I guess this depends on how you encoded the movies or the music files.
I didnt encode anything.. Just playing the mp3 i downloaded and play it with my X1 as my friend trying to 'steal' mp3 from my device.
The sound is very weak especially when playing classicals.. Alot of noise when playing some trance or techno.. not to say those smooth music.. cant even hear what they're singing..
Hi all,
My TD2 has started acting very strange when playing music, after 1 to 2 mins it stops when using TF3D music player.
I read some other posts that had a similar problem and followed the fixes but it has not helped me.
My music stops even if the screen is alive (ie on mains adapter)
I tried removing all the htc album art and folder.jpg from the music folders but that has not helped.
I have also checked the micro SD power save settings to see if that was the problem but sadly not.
Im not sure what i should try next except a hard reset (i really do not look forward to restoring all my settings) so i hope you can share some more ideas
thanks
Just to add this problem is only present when using TF3D music player, but not when using core player
join the club
I only have this problem with win6.5
with 6.1 every thing is perfect
u canm use pocket player
it will not turn off the screen when playing but it will only go dim
and it will work good and its power consumption is good
I too am using 6.5 and manila 2.5, but im not sure what has been the cause of the problem.
Last week everything was working fine, the only thing ive changed since then is adding some more albums. I have tried removing the new albums but still the problem persists.
Very unusual
I just tested this on the ROM in my Sig and am not having this issue.
Perhaps it is ROM related? Are you all on the same ROM?
im using HG R6 same as you :S

Interesting.
Then it would have to be either the way the music is stored, or an issue with your storage card.
I know that with cheaper storage cards, the data transfer rate is less than the higher quality ones.
FWIW, I don't have my music organized, just one folder for Music, sub folder for Praise and Worship Music and a second subfolder for recorded songs from Resco Radio (in case I already have the song in the music folder.
Sorry I couldn't be more help.
Thanks for the suggestions.
I tried copying the music to another SD card and the problem persists, so i think it is safe to rule out SD card fault
I have my music arranged on the card the following way
Music folder on root of the card
Inside music folder i have a seperate folder for each album
Inside each album folder there are the MP3's and folder.jpg
My music has been stored like this since i have had the device (since TD2 released in UK) and it has not been a problem before.
I think a hard reset at the weekend may the best solution
First, the get-outs. I don't use the HTC player, nor your ROM, nor even WM6.5, so I might be talking crap here. But, perhaps the problem might be corruption of the music database file, specially since it started since you loaded more albums on. I've seen this with other devices (specifically Cowon) before.
The database file seems to be AudioManager_Eng.vol, which is in \Application Data\HTC\AudioManager_Eng\
Since you're considering a hard reset anyway, nothing to be lost from deleting this file (if it allows you to, you might have to shut down TF first) and letting the music player recreate it again.
Apologies in advance if a) this has been mentioned elsewhere b) it doesn't apply to WM6.5 any more, and c) it screws up the muisc player!
Thanks for the suggestion, i deleted the music database and it did no harm
When i launched TF3D music tab it took a while to rebuild the database but sadly it has not remmedied the problem
Does music play properly from TD2 internal storage? Might be a clue, if it does.
I know you didn't ask for the suggestion(!), but why not use a good but simple 3rd party app like Nitrogen? It loads very quickly, as though it was a "native" app, you can get skins which are very plain, black, with good album art. And it plays more formats too. I've honestly never been tempted back to the TF3D player since using it.
playing music from internal storage exhibits the same problem
playing music from 3rd party music app (core player) works correctly.
Getting closer to solving this, i hard reset my phone earlier but the problem persists.
So i delete all my music and add 1 album at a time.
so far no problems
I can only conclude either one of my tracks/albums is corrupted in some way and freezes TF3D when it reads the library OR there is a limit to how big your library can be. mine was over 12gig.
either way im gonna keep adding an album a time, reset phone then test until i find the bad album. when i do i will remove the bad album and try adding another, this should prove if its a size problem or just some bad file.
Plz keep us informed about ur progress in solving this problem
and No using 3d Pary Programs Like nitrogin or core player doesnt solve the problem

Harking back to my Cowon D2 experience, it took just one album to corrupt the database. It could be badly tagged, or the tags contained accented foreign characters which the player didn't like, and it would freeze the player. It's a pain in the posterior to find out which album is responsible
.
Ok i have solved my problem (well found it)
There is 1 album in my collection that causes TF3D to Stop playing music when it tries to add the album to the database.
Im not sure why though!
All the tracks play fine in other players, all the ID3 data is legit and not containing any unusual characters and the bitrate is only 160 so its not too much for the phone to take.
When i get home i will rerip the album to mp3 and have another go.
I hope this thread may be of help to others with this trouble!
lesson here seems to be its not the software causing the problem but the media its trying to play, although the reason is not evident

search this forum for the word "music" im sure i seen a topic about this very problem
I had the same issue a while ago.
Turned out there was one album on my SD card (Lungs, by Florence and the Machine) that was causing the TouchFlo music player to stop playing any song. I removed that album and the problem went away.
I still have the album on my computer, doesn't seem to be anything unusual about it.
Can any body recommend a decent program to transfer music my pc to my phone?
Media go is really slow on my pc, I tried the old disc to phone and that keeps putting music in the wrong order and instead of having 12 songs per album I keep getting 12 one track albums.
What are people using and any ideas why this is happening?

I use the media go and mixzing on phone. Didnt find it too slow and i put 30alb on in one go.

The thing is with the pc its only got about 512 ram and 1.6 ghz proccesor which I find quite funny as the phone is almost more powerfull than the pc lol
If I were to put 30 cds on at one go it would be an all night job.
I need something that's not so intencive on the pc but actually works properly. Ideas?

Thanks for your help and suggestions guys. I'm guessing the music must be currupt or something cos even copy and paste not making it go on in the right order and mp3s keep skipping.

Can't explain the skipping, but is your metadata all correct?, that could explain why it doesn't show correctly. What player are you using?
I'm sorry I have absolutly no idea what metadata is. I'm using mixzing and paid for the upgrade lisence.

....and is what affects how players list tracks, so if I take 10 different tracks from 10 different artists, but edit the Album as "Selected remixes of the last 10 years", the player will list them all in the same album.
I have just started using MediaMonkey to go through my collection and update every track so I have the right album art displaying with Meridian on my phone, but still with some tracks the album art isn't being displayed at all but everything else is ok.
I understand what you mean now but its quite weird cos on my computer it displays everything in the right order with the correct tags.
I guess all I can do is blame some sort of curroption, it should be as easy as
1 take it from the external hard drive ( where everything is in the right order etc )
2 copy to pc ( still in the right order )
3 copy and paste to sd
But it all goes horribly wrong on the last step for some reason and it takes ages to sort it all manually but I may left with no choice
Thanks everyone for your help so far

I've been a diehard Winamp fan for the last few years but MediaMonkey is my number 1 player from now on and the features it has makes it a breeze to organise your collection. I've got my mothers music collection on my external, every song artist and title is in CAPITALS , and have put off transferring it to my lappy because of the amount of work it would have taken to sort it out, and whilst I'll still have to go through each individual file, sorting the casing i.e "Artist - Song Title" from "ARTIST - SONG TITLE" can be done with a click, for the whole collection.

There is no LYRICS tag in MP3 files for me. Is this Windows dependent? What version are you using?

Yes this procedure does not work for me either.
The real problem is that Android does not natively read the ID3 lyrics tag. So, I put in a new feature request that would give Android the ability to read ULT and USLT ( lyrics ) ID3 tags. This will allow the native and 3rd party music players to display lyrics, like the iOS and Windows Phone players currently can.
If you want this feature in Android, please star the request below:

thanks for the tip:good:
Try TuneWiki
TuneWiki can fetch lyrics and artwork online. It also has a basic tag editor. It has a pretty good database and a user community. You can edit the lyrics, change color, font, artwork, etc. It also has Song ID, like Shazaam.
But, the lyrics seem to be in a proprietary format and doesn't save to id3 lyrics tag. musiXmatch also seems good, but i couldn't test it as Google Play says it's incompatible wid my device.
It would have been better if there's an app that fetches metadata/tag info( including lyrics if possible) automatically from internet and save to music files. Do anybody know of such an app for Android?
Ugh musixmatch is a different app and it doesnt put lyrics on your mp3s..

It doesn't embed lyrics inside music files but it does show lyrics. It is similar to TuneWiki. These lyrics are synchronised too. But, the problem is that they don't save/embed lyrics with the music. It would have been better if they saved the lyrics in some format embedded or even as an external LRC for later use.
Minilyrics also seems to be good (For lyrics alone!). It claims to play both USLT( unsynchronised) and SYLT (synchronised) fields in ID3v2 tag and LRC. I don't know if the Android app can write tags( desktop one does). It's just a minimal player(even minimal than the stock player, i think) and doesn't have all the bells and whistles like the ones i mentioned above. If lyrics is your only thing go for it. But, i(and most others) want something which finds all the Album Art, metadata, and other Tag info. Anyway, the minilyrics app doesn't currently work in my device, says failed to read internet data. But, that's just me,i guess.
thanks a lot man it worked for me!!!
musiXmatch works as standalone app or just for Lyrics!
I'm using poweramp AND musiXmatch.
When I hear a Song musiXmatch shows me in Statusbar if there is a lyricsfile for it and when I tap on it it opens.
Poweramp plays in background and in opened musiXmatch I have the lyrics
For me MusiXmatch works very good, and if I didn't payed for PowerAmp I would just use musiXmatch like years before on PC!
Fix cover art in Musixmatch
I also have Poweramp and am using Musixmatch with it. When I open the Musixmatch app it has some how loaded pictures from my photo album as cover art and I didn't feel like paying Musixmatch to fix their problem so what I ended up doing is downloaded Cover Art Downloader from the playstore and it automatically found the right cover art and replaced the photos.

Yeah 'Pimp My Music' is the android app you need.. it will search for your lyrics or you can paste in your lyrics.
It even plays and the song and shows the lyrics with auto scrolling and LRC support.
So it can highlight words karaoke style
:good:
i'm assuming this works for kk too?
i'll test to see if synced lyrics work, or if the will be at least read (yet no scrolling etc)
Thanks a lot to The-Droidster

Totally agree with you. Now that is what is true software development all about. Thanks to XDA developers and The Droidster and FromiOSToAndroid for sharing your knowledge :victory:
Just google for AIMP v3.50 Build 1224 Beta 1. Has lots of very useful features. It will be downloaded as zip file and I have checked it for virus and malware. It checked out fine. I was able to save the lyrics into a test mp3 file - super easy. Transferred the mp3 file from Win7 computer to my Samsung Galaxy Note 2. Played it through the default 'Music' app in the phone and presto the lyrics are just there. Easy and simple.
Cheers!!!
