Battery replacement - Battery from Sony Xperia Z2 into my Xperia Z - Xperia Z General

Hello xda Guys.
I am new and I have a question. Since I have updated my Xperia Z I have problems with my battery time. Before I have done update my battery was very slow too, but now it is horrible. I wanted to replace it four months ago, but I hadn't time. Now my question: Can I place the battery from the Z2 into my Xperia Z, or not?
Thanks Guys for your help

Nope you can't my friend.

Possibly going to get an s4

Just got rid of my Xperia Z and my iPhone 5. Just have a few questions before getting one. No point asking the people in the shops they just want to sell.
The battery life on my iPhone 5 was pretty good and it charged very quickly. Yet the Xperia z was awful drained so fast at least it charged fairly quickly. But the iPhone charged well on the USB whilst being used where as the Xperia Z only charged if you didn't use it on USB.
Is the battery life on the s4 better than both or similar. Is the USB charging issue an android thing.
Also the Xperia z had a poor wifi signal. How's the s4's
Any other tips would be nice.
Overall the charging... is super fast in S4 because the charger out put was 2A and the battery also heats when charging but not so long ...
My i9500 is very smooth can handle any games you throw at it. The battery is not good currently hope be samsung fix it in future update. I just give my opinion.
You the decider for buying it! DON'T blame me if you not satisfied with it.

I would like to start with Sony Z i used for a week and hate that device coz of battery , heating, sound quality.
And compare to Sony Z ... S4 is far far better starting from battery , perfomance display music some of the software features etc
ii cant tell u diffrntce between S4 and I5 as i never used it
And if u are a high user of the phone u myte need to have a xtra battery or can use a custom kernal like persues which gives u a option of underclocking etc and u will never regret having this phone
Note I have I9500 and as of now it does not supoort CM10 etc and I9505 does support
for the variant u have to take a call
But S4 is worth a buy anytime compare to device u have used for sure
I have the gt9505 variant.
The battery Life is very good when on a custom kernel, I use ktoonsez kernel for instance and it allows me to make a profile to reduce the max ghz used when the screen is off. Greatly improves battery Life Imo. Also allows you to set the GPU max mhz when screen off.
On stock however I didnt really like the battery Life. I came from a note 2 which has fing awesom battery Life.
It's not bad on stock but the iPhone 5 will last longer I think.
Also depends on your usage of the device tho.
Check some battery Benchmarks which are around on the web.
As it stands right now iirc the 9500 loses to the 9505 atm in terms of battery Life.

Battery Problem?

hey guys,
I accidently dropped my z1 today and since then it's doing crazy stuff. It always says I got 50% of the battery and in the next moment it says I got only 1% left and shuts down. It even shuts down after some time if it is charging. Does any of you know what this might be? Should I do a factory reset? Probably won't help that much or what do you think? Or is it more like a battery issue? I'm really frustrated cause it just got repaired and would be glad over any help that I can get!
thanks in advance !
Hi.

Have you found a solution yet?

Why are Sony Xperia phones easier to flash?

Hello, I am new to Sony phones, having used HTC, Samsung and LG phones before.
My last LG V10 got the famous bootloop issue and I sold it right after the warranty repair.
So I got the Sony X Compact instead. I read some infos about it on XDA and was amazed how easy it is to flash original firmwares on Sony phones without unlocked bootloader and root.
Just out of curiosity, how come only Sony phones are like this? I remember HTC Samsung and LG were really a pain in the ass without an unlocked bootloader.
And I have to say, the nougat update is giving my X Compact insane battery life. Like 7-8 hours SOT instead of 6 on Marshmallow.
The answer is simple, Sony is the best
BTW
Do you use greenify or something similar? I am pretty amazed with the battery life you have.

So am I. I'm getting up to 6h if I'm lucky. Mayb
I have to reset my phone and give it a fresh install.
I stand corrected, the 7-8 hours of SOT didn't materialize, it was based on a preliminary assumption after flashing nougat. I will report back after the first full recharge and discharge cycle.
What I've seen after the nougat update though is that under battery consumption, "Phone Idle" constantly uses more battery than the screen and is the No.1 battery hog.
Do you guys have the same issue? Any solution or explanation to this?
Yes same problem, but no solution.

Battery replacement for ZUK z1

Hello, i have my phone for over 2 years now and battery provide barely half the time it provided when it was new. I m considering to replace the battery. Does anyone know a place where i can buy a good battery? Doesn t need to be OEM, just to hold charged at least the way the original one did. From what i saw on aliexpress/ebay/amazon, most bl255 batteries are fake ones that claim to be like original but die very fast. From my research i found at least this manufacturer, Cameron Sino that produces replacement batteries that hold the same as original http://www.bigupbattery.com/Lenovo-BL255-Zuk-Z1-Battery-p/batt-009432.htm . What do you think? Anyone tried to change battery on zuk z1?
My zuk z1 died after 6 months and not found a replacement battery just got a new phone instead but thinking of buying a new battery and have to replace the screen as it now has a deep scratch would like any info if anyone else had this happen after 6months with the device !
Hello,
I did replace my ZUK Z1 battery with one that I bought from aliexpress, and yes it holds almost like the original that died after my little baby dropped the phone.
Dear Casper Cobain, my Z1 didn't act abnormally for two years. maybe your Z1 had a special bug.

Here is the link my friend: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/For...ck-up-Battery-For-Lenovo-ZUK/32829635079.html
But I didn't measure the amp. if you know an app that does this measure, I will be thankful.

Many thanks my friend. I suggest you try AccuBattery app. It's a nice battery optimization and monitoring app. Cheers!

Xperia XZs worth the purchase or Oreo killed it?

Hey guys,
my 6+ died, being my companion for 3 years now, had in the past some samsung devices too (note 1 and 3, the latest still going strong) but i always liked Sony design and wanted to try one.
Now budget wise i can afford the XZs (the 5.2" screen and being waterproof is what made me interested in this phone), the problem is that i need a phone that last at least one day.
I dont play games, i might watch a couple of tvshow, listen to music around 2 hours, randomly surfing facebook and other socials for about 4h... from what i read Oreo killed the battery, which for me it's a big turn off.
Here in HK, the phone is still sold with Nougat, and from what i understand this release has no issue, my problem is, does the phone automatically update to Oreo?
I have to buy a new phone by this weekend, i hope you guys can give me some good advices, i usually keep a phone 2 years, and i m being out of the "Andorid smart" world for a long time, i just want a good phone that would last me 1 day with a casual use like mine.
(XZ PREMIUM, i considered it but it's too off my budget)
Xperia will prompt you for update to Oreo, you can choose not to update.
I'm on Oreo now, but no battery problem so far.

But the battery with normal usage can get me through a day (or late evening at least, from 7am to 11pm more or less)?
thx for your feedback btw
From your usage and a brand new phone's battery, shouldn't be a problem
Its worth it, my xz died due water damage and i get the XZs and i feel sure the difference, trully love it
