I ordered a 5X last week because I use my phone one-handed to often to go for a phablet. But once I realized that it's only effectively $58 more for the 32GB 6P ($70 - $12 USB-A-to-C extra cable), I caved and ordered a 6P, too. Now I have to decide if I cancel the 5X, or just let both be delivered and try them both out for myself. The only 'risk' to that is the 5X comes a week before the 6P, which wouldn't give me much time to compare. I'm sure on launch day the 5X will be great, but I worry about future-proofing; what good is a Nexus device if Android N or O are resource hogs and 2GB of RAM doesn't cut it in two years? I have become accustomed to long-term ownership of phones; I have been on an HTC Rezound since 2012.
Anyone else have multiple phones on order?
nope its just u

I have both on pre order.
The 6P in two sites. One of them is Google's store, not even on pre here in Portugal.

I pre ordered both at the same time, under the same order. Curious if they will ship separately or together. My confirmation email only lists one estimated delivery time frame.

Hello
I'm ready for swapping out my old HTC Desire S, and one of the options is the Nexus 4 of course. While looking here in Norway, it seems that nobody is selling the phone anymore. I remember browsing around in early July and there were plenty of places selling them. But now it's hard to come by. As examples:
1) The biggest operator (Telenor) used to sell it, but the page is gone.
2) On online store (teknikmagasinet.no) states that the product has been discontinued
There's also that famous article from the Inquirer saying back in July that the device was gone from one big seller in the UK.
Could this be it? Could it be the end of the Nexus 4, foretelling the Nexus 5? I would like to know because if this is the case, then I can wait a couple of months.
Regards

Well new phone is coming out in q4 for sure.

Hi,
Very likely there is going to be a new nexus launched in the coming few months. Nonetheless the n4 is a great phone. You'd do well either to buy the next one new when it's released or else get a second hand one at that point - lots of people will trade up & eBay their old n4, I reckon.

Thank you for your replies. Then it seems I'll hold it. Either new Nexus or second hand N4. :good:
I'm not quite sure but if the new nexus comes out on america at the end of this year, it will probably be sold out. It'll take some extra months until it te reaches Europe.
It's back again! Nexus 4, here I come !!

A little bit better than Black Friday $199 deal. Device is very snappy with the latest 4.4.2 update.
Same price as Amazon.

Nice for those who don't live near a Best Buy. Now that Amazon charges tax I prefer to buy local to avoid shipping delay and return/replacement is easier.
Well i got my nexus for 189 @staples last week but is nice deal to?

Wow! I should should've waited. I paid full price for mine months ago but still loving it especially after 4.2.2.

I picked one up at Staples with price match (almost saved tax plus 5% Staples reward). This was my 2nd try at new N7. I bought one when they first came out. I returned it immediately because the screen wasn't any better than my original N7. This one is so much better. It seems perfect. I also picked up a gpad 8.3 at BB. It's going back mostly due to poor brightness.

I know basically everyone who wants a 2013 Nexus 7 probably has one by now, but just thought this was worth letting everyone know about. O2 sell the Wi-Fi version of the tablet next to the LTE model. They don't specify a capacity on the website, so I assumed I'd be getting a 16GB model. I was very pleasantly surprised to find that they delivered a 32GB Nexus to me! Worth knowing about if you're thinking of picking one up.
Wow thats a no brainer
The back of my Nexus 7 has a fairly long crack and its sad that i can't find anywhere to replace it
I ordered an unopened new 16GB for £120 from ebay the other day, it's too late for me to return it as it wont be here for another 10 days or so (coming from America) ah well haha

Mine says estimated delivery is Oct 27-28 (next-day shipping).

More than likely these will hit the streets before the estimated dates. I think that was the case with my N6.

It depends on the model and storage. My wife's 32gb silver one is 3-4weeks and my graphite 128gb is 3-4 too but my friends is 4-5 and he ordered it literally right next to me at the same time.
I originally placed the order separately but then did it together and cancelled the first 2 separate ones because I could. I ordered them before it showed up on their front page anyway.
model and color plus time you ordered are factors as to the lead time estimate, atm i think the lead time is between 4-5 and 5-6
64GB Graphite 6P
4-5 Weeks (10/30-11/2) + Next Day Shipping
Graphite 128GB with Nexus Protect. - Delivery Nov-3 or somewhere around there.
Just ordered aluminum 64GB! They seem to default to 4-5 weeks...hopefully earlier shipping which happened to some last year.
Mine says Nov 2-3 with next day air.
Kinda BS to buy the 1st phone to have Marshmallow, BUT you wont get it anytime soon... and the rest of the nexus phones will be updated to Marshmallow by next week. Weird...
64gb Aluminium... Nov 4-6, no idea if standard or next day shipping...

Not really BS, as you knew going in that its a preorder...they never said it was the first phone to get Marshmallow, just that it would ship with it out of the box....anything with the word Nexus is suppose to get updates first so its not weird that they're pushing OTAs to currently available devices....this was the same thing that happened with kit kat launched, it was already on current nexus devices if i recall... i know my galaxy nexus had it before the new nexus was released...
In light of the recent pixel launch, is this phone still worth it buying? I have the feeling that I get a way higher value for my money than when buying the pixel, is this right? Are there any downsides? And is there a bigger price drop to expect in the near future or should I buy it right now?
Thanks in advance,
Fleckdalm

Nexus 6p is at the top of the list for best phones out right now. I love this phone. The pixel is not enough of an upgrade to justify the money, plus the 6p will be relevant for another year.
I came from nexus 6(Shamu) a 2 days ago. I sold that phone for $200 then on Craigslist I found a 6p 64gb for $350. I was able to talk him down to $320. In thought I only paid $120 for a 6p which was sweet tits. I believe I can wait till the pixel XL II comes out :silly:
Nexus6 P has longevity and plenty of XDA development left! Worth it for many...

Any regrets?
I'm currently Christmas shopping for wife's new phone.
Requirements for her:
Loud speakers, 5.7 inches or bigger
Works on straight talk
Requirements for me:
Unlockable boot loader
Dev support.
$600ish
I'm currently narrowed down to htc10 nexus 6p and nexus 6.
And I believe the 6p is going to beat the 6 in speed
And the 6p will beat the HTC in volume.
I just purchased the 6P via Project Fi. I think it is the best buy for the $$$ right now. The Pixel is just to much money for my needs.
