Not sure what to think? I want most of the specs from the 6P to be in the 5X, 5.7 screen is just to big
that's too bad, even the 32GB version only has 2GB of RAM. they're going to miss a ton of sales due to this alone.
no SD card was expected, but people who are new to Nexus devices won't like that either.
sales will be even softer due to no carriers or brick & mortar retailers selling it.
for those wanting a ~5" device, next one to look fwd to will be the OnePlus Mini which should be out by Christmas.
I thought other leaked info indicated camera sensor is RGBW?
Well now we know that the price for 16GB is $379 (probably will be well over £300 I reckon) we can safely say this thing is not that competitive really, on specs or on price. Makes it an easy decision for me.
4K, 340fps?? really?
I skipped the nexus 6 last year, now again I'm disappointed. Not buying this.
Tapping on the toe with a new hat
dissapointed. but well see on the reviews
Wow really this is it! Was deciding the sell my oneplus two but now after this I'm keeping it!
HTC is announcing new phones tomorrow as well, including a 5" phone with mid-range specs (SD 617 chip) that looks just like an iPhone on the back. pretty sure that phone only has 2GB RAM as well.

no, but just figured i'd mention what else is coming available in the 5" size. of course, you could just unlock, root, and install a custom AOSP rom with HTC.
Hmm...so no snapdragon 820 and QHD display that were rumored.
hexacore. rrriiiight. I think I'll just get this for $140 and call it a day.

there's no AOSP for S6 due to the proprietary processor Samsung uses, it's essentially closed source so developers don't have access and thus really can't bother.

My eyes popped out looking at that too. Has to be a typo, unfortunately.
2GB ram is kinda retarded... I just cannot undestand why they did this....
I don't understand why the hell everyone wants more than 2 GBs of ram. It's a bloody phone...
I am happy with it. Just miss a 64GB option. And maybe G4's 3000mAh Battery.
Am am sure this will be again a hot seller...
For me, all they needed to do was pretty much an updated version of the original, but this time sort out the camera and battery.
I know many find the specs to be under what's expected. But in a few months time when the 5X is still smooth running the latest M and the S6 owners are still waiting, the 5X may be the smart choice.
Lets see what the reviews say about the Camera & Battery.

So, it's the same CPU, same ram, same display, but +4G, +better camera, + new design, +locked bootloader?
Not worth upgrading imo.
Complete dissapointment. Worse than what apple does. It even looks like crap with the curved edges. See everyone acts like apple is dumb for releasing the same phone. I would be happy with the same looking atrix, faster cpu, 720p screen and better camera. Im done with Motorola.
It also only has 8gb storage which is a major downgrade. CRAP!

its actually not a tegra 2 processor, screen is a little bigger and isnt a pentile display, no fingerprint scanner and they cut the internal memory in half. you also cant use the docks from the atrix 4g. definitely not worth the "upgrade"

WTF Motorola, adding mirror to a new phone that should have been added to the 8 month old one.
Definitely not giving up cm7 for this. In fact I feel it's a downgrade I many respects.
Sent from my MB860 using XDA App
they took away the fingerprint unlock ?
I agree with all the above, it is not worth the changing, especially since no word on the damn bootloader thing is being said. I guess that it will be locked as hell, with no easy unlockin in sight....
I prefer the photon on this crap any day, and wouldnt replace my Atrix for neither...
Boo Motorola! I like my Tegra and pudding thank you very much. not worth the downgrade. things in the original Atrix world are just starting to get interesting.
Where is our hdmi mirroring?!?!?!
I might as well pile on here as well and say LOL. Why the hell would they do this. Oh wait I know. MONEY. Greedy corporations make me vomit.
I cant help but wonder what went through the minds of the people who made this phone. It obviously was not meant as an Atrix replacement at first or it would match the internal storage and have a fingerprint scanner.
Also, no unlocked bootloader = no CM7. Atrix > Atrix 2.
I'm better off waiting for the Nexus Prime!

This is a slap in the face to all Atrix owners. iPhone 4s is a monumental leap forward compared to this.
Why so early ? the Atrix came out in April this year, now the Atrix 2 coming out in October ?
They should be waiting to next year and releasing it with ICS and with stronger CPU.
Well.... guess I'll be rooting and keeping my original Atrix.

It really is depressing that this is what the wireless world is coming to. For a company to release a second version of such an impressive phone.. with LESS features and less memory is just ridiculous. I would never upgrade to such a phone, even for the 'faster' web access. With the Prime coming and ICS, this seems like a desperate attempt to lock more customers in to a contract with a gimmicky sequel. The original Atrix is leaps and bounds ahead of this new version with all the hacks that have been accomplished.. and with nightlies coming, and ICS potentially in the future, I'll be happy to keep my Atrix 1. The only thing that might convince me to change phones is an ICS Prime.

Samsung*has announced the Galaxy Camera 2, the second iteration of its Android-powered dedicated point and shoot camera. The new camera has a new design that makes use of Samsung’s faux-leather material that we’ve seen on the Galaxy Note 3; it sports the same 16-megapixel camera with 1/2.33-inch sensor size, Xenon flash, and 21x optical zoom as the original, but comes with a new image processing system that Samsung says can deliver better pictures than before.
Samsung has also made a few additions on the software side, namely new shooting modes that bring the total up to 28. As was the case on the original Galaxy Camera, professional photographers will be able to fine tune settings such as ISO values et al. A few specs have been upgraded – the Galaxy Camera 2 sports a 1.6GHz quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 8GB of storage and a microSD slot, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and NFC connectivity, a 2000 mAh*battery that can capture up to 350 photos on a single charge, and Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, though users will still be viewing photos on a 4.8-inch 720p display as they did with the original.
The Galaxy Camera 2 will be on display at CES next week, where we’ll also find out info on pricing and availability. With little to no upgrades on the thing that matters most, i.e. the camera unit, it remains to be seen how much of an improvement the Galaxy Camera 2 offers in terms of image quality – hopefully it’s a considerable one, as the original was just a tad above average for a camera that cost $499.

pff when will we get android 4.3 or 4.4?
Oh crap, this is indication that they're going to EOL the original camera.
Our only hope is that someone manages to port the ROM, seeing that the only things that changed: +200mhz proc, battery and NFC. (I trust Sammy is going to pull the userspace thing again and new buyers will find they have 4GB actual).
oh another let down...crappy sammy does it again

It does pretty much feel that Samsung has completely abandoned development on the original camera. Only a minor software update last year and no Android updates. Pretty poor way to reward early adopters.
I bought my Samsung Galaxy Camera for the features it has, not what it might have a year down the line or what updates it might get.
It does the job I want it to do and that's take pictures and access everything my S3 does so I'm not taking two devices on holiday. Very happy with the product.
Just wish the people whining that there is no updates or new software for their camera, root it or maybe you shouldn't have bought the camera if all you wanted was updates.
I have the original Samsung Galaxy Tab and it's only on ICS dual core spec. Still does everything the new tabs do but I have no need to change as I didn't buy it for what the future might do.

You'd probably not be saying the same thing if your camera is stuck in version 2.3.6. (Like the Galaxy Camera's competing products :3)
Lucky the default 4.1.x is the one with the UI improvements eh, still, anything that does the job is great, but anything that can be improved without the need to rebuy hardware is all the more awesome and less wasteful. See: Galaxy S2.
Frankly the only change I want is the improved camera apps from the ZOOM and NX - and what I REALLY want is RAW. I had RAW on my old Canon S2IS by way of CHDK. That was awesome, no software processing on the final image so you know just how good your hardware actually is. The hardware on this thing is capable of it, mores the pity because JPEG loses a lot of definition.
To the person who mentioned only having 4 gb of space you're right. I just got my Galaxy Camera 2 today and the System memory takes up 4.42 GB of the 8gb that it has. Big bummer.

I don't think the Galaxy Camera 2 looks as good as my first generation camera and the specs don't blow me away either. I just wish they would give us a firmware update in the meantime.

That's pretty much par for the course with Samsung's Touchwiz.
I got the Galaxy Camera 2 about 2 weeks ago and I'm pretty happy with it. It's a small evolutionary bump from the Galaxy Camera. I really wish I could root it though.
Root!!! I made a request of Chainfire to create a CF-Auto-Root for the Camera 2. It's now available.
http://download.chainfire.eu/414/CF-Root/CF-Auto-Root/CF-Auto-Root-sf2wifi-sf2wifixx-ekgc200.zip
Spoke to a Samsung Camera Rep this week. Mentioned that the Original Smart Camera needs a software update for the new shooting modes that are already available on the S4, S5 and Camera 2. If they are not hardware reliant, then shouldn't be a problem and he is presenting it to head office.
Something or nothing might come out of this. you never know.
Galaxy Camera 2 HDMI
Hey XDA, I have been searching all over the web for this but can't find anything.
Is it possible to use the galaxy camera micro HDMI to connect to a touch screen monitor? I have no idea if HDMI has the capability of outputting touch signals as well as video and sound. I have looked at a couple of touch monitor options, often what I see is that they need usb input.
I found this monitor on ebay that has a controller board for touch input however it is more tailored towards the raspberry pi.
HDMI input LCD controller board+7inch 800x480 AT070TN92 lcd with touch panel
On the other hand I could get something like this which is designed for use in your car. The problem is that phones use their USB port which has MHL for use with these products. Which makes me think that straight micro HDMI to HDMI will not transfer the touch input into these controllers.
customgadz - OEM with Touch
Model UM-MM13-WT
or this one
customgadz - 7" USB capacitive touchscreen Monitor
Model MC-T070-KC12
This one might just be a HDMI monitor.
Any help you guys can give me would be great. I just can't wrap my head around this problem.
Also apologies if this is posted in the wrong spot, if so please give me the URL to the correct forum.

big..........
I don't love how obscenely tall+wide it is, but I can live with that, for a 6 inch screen.
However, it is simply too thick and the non-removable battery is too small.
The Nexus 6 is thicker than all its 6-inch contemporaries (Mate 2, Mate 7, Vibe Z2 Pro) and in the case of the latter two, significantly so.
I could even live with this thickness if it packed a huge battery, but it does not. All 3 of those contemporaries have batteries that are at least 25% larger. People are quick to point out that the Nexus 6 has the same capacity as the Note 4. Well, this same battery is powering a .3" larger screen in the Nexus 6, and unlike the Note 4, is non-removable.
I am a huge lover of Nexus devices. I love everything about the stock Android, developer friendly devices. But I will very likely not be getting this new Nexus, after owning every iteration beginning with the Galaxy Nexus.
the note also has to power the wacom digitizer, and is a lot more software heavy which will put extra strain on the battery
Too Big !!! to handle ...
Screen size should really not exceed more the 5". 5" is good enough for a smart fone
It's going to be big, but I will get used to it. I just can't pass up a Nexus phone with those specs.
*edit
Pretty neat tool to compare its size.
http://www.phonearena.com/phones/size/Google-Nexus-6,Apple-iPhone-6-Plus/phones/8626,8908
With the case I have on my Nexus 5, its not that much bigger. I may have to go caseless tho.
Specs to add:
Wireless Charging + Turbo Charging
F2.0 Camera
10.1mm thickness with a curved back. It's razor thin on the sides.
Compared to the iPhone6+, Iphone6, and MotoX (2013).
Honestly, I am hyped and I cannot wait to upgrade from my N4 to this!
Love Back Camera Style
Nexus 6 is good in features. It has large screen, latest Android and all other stuff but the thing that I liked the most is camera representation.
Like apple , Nexus should go with a logo.
Sorry as much as I like nexus based phones I will not buy any phone without an SD
card slot.
Love the phone, but my first impression after a week is that it was built upside down.
The heavier, thicker part feels better in the palm of my hand, rather than at the top where the device ends up feeling top-heavy.

Flipping is a good idea.
I got the idea to check the lcd_density in Lollipop..
Google set this value to 560 dpi for the Nexus 6.
I do not understand that, because the native dpi of the N6-display is 493.
Changed the density from 560 to 493.
Result: better screen, smaller icons. Room for 5 columns instead of 4.
(Now looking for an idea to change the white background to black and characters to white).
Just Love It
Im coming from a nexus 5 - OPO...... After using it for more than a month,
I really love the screen and its size, Actually the smaller bezel on the bottom makes sense to me. when the nav bar is visible it looks as if the bezels are completely balanced. I like the design and the curves but after seeing some phones with damaged plastic backs Im very concerned about it now. I dont see my self selling this until the next nexus. Sorry about my english.
what i can say is without a doubt ill never go back to another type of phone. i cant believe i waited to long to find this out. how you can flash away without the risk of bricking, and the phone complaining about the software being changed. incredible
Front facing speakers are now a must have feature for me, absolutely love them!

Hey all
We have several threads dedicated to the specifications of the Samsung Galaxy S6. so I thought it best roll them all into one as we now have more detailed listings. These are still TBC, so they will be updated as we get more information in.
Interesting Samsung went with its "in-house" Exynos chipset and not a snapdragon 810, thoughts?

I think the battery will be ~3000mAh and while i don't want a 1440 screen its going to happen. Also i think it will be Bluetooth 4.1 and i think that the heart rate monitor will be gone in the S6.
I think it doesn't have dust and water resistant facilities.
Here's hoping for a sdcard slot, else it'll be a big change, no removable battery and no sdcard slot.

March 1st will be here soon enough and hopefully HTC can convince me enough to get off the sammy band wagon lol

Personally I don't care about Knox, the first thing I did when I got my Tab S was flash a custom recovery and root it. That's the joy of an unlocked bootloader.

Thats what im saying if knox is going to be activated on at&t i think im gonna have to pass on this device even though the specs are amazing. i love all the work the devs do, and being able to push the phone to the limit and without being able to root i cant see myself buying this.
p.s. unless att can garrentee us resonable update times.
I heard that we are going to be able to delete the bloatware, which is a plus, but I still want my SD card.

That looks way different from all those leaks so far (not iPhone 6 like rounded), and it's looking nice.
why not 5.5
I just don't understand, why 5' display needs 2k? To drain more battery and make it more laggy? 1080p would be the best choice...
Samsung Norway posted this now.

It's to feature a 16MP not 20MP camera unit on the production model. In fact it will have a tweaked version of the camera unit used in the Note 4.

Hmmm. If HTC M9 gets bad reviews I think I will get this phone instead. The bad thing is the rumors about the battery and SD slot. Also this phone will not have as great ROM support as a snapdragon phone :/

The Honor 6X was one of my favorite budget phones of last year. It came out in October of 2016 and the next release is expected to come out in October as well. Here are all the rumors about the phone so far:
Price
The expected launch price for the Honor 7X is $225 USD. This is around the same price as the 6X which launched at just a little over $200 as well. This keeps the 'X' model phone as one of the best values that Honor has to offer.
Design
If the pictures above are accurate, we will be seeing a completely new design for the Honor 7x. This would be a great change since the 6x and 5x seemed to struggle to find their identity in this department.
Display
It shouldn't be a surprise that the Honor 7X will most likely come with a 1080x1920 display. Once again, we will probably see the same 5.5" screen size as well.
Storage
For storage options there will be 32GB and 64GB models. No word on if the SD card slot will still be there, but Honor has been pretty consistent with offering an SD card slot in all of their phones. There is no reason to expect not to see it in the 7X
Camera
As for the camera it's expected to have a dual-camera setup with 12MP monochrome sensor + 12MP RGB sensor.
Battery
Honor may be going for a massive 4000 mAh battery in the Honor 7X. This would be the most significant upgrade for this new device.
Chipset and RAM
Expect to see the Kirin 670 which is a mid-range chipset. There will most likely see 4GB of RAM in this phone, just like the previous 6X.
That's everything that is known about this phone so far.

This phone initially has been presented with the name Honor V9 Mini, but yesterday an unknown device received a 3C certification in China, revealing the phone's true name: Honor 7X. I read that the price will be around 1499 Yuan for the 32GB variant and 1799 Yuan for the 64GB, something like 188€ for the 1st and 224€ for the 2nd. The operative system should be Nougat 7.1 with EMUI 5.1, and it should mantain the same position of the central fingerprint sensor on the back of the phone, as the 6X. It should have an USB type-A port, and the hexa-core CPU should have 2 Moscow custom cores on 2,2 GHz, 4 Cortex A-53 cores on 2 GHz and the GPU should be a Mali-G7-MP4. Sadly, the good old 3,5mm audio jack should be missing. Oh yes, i've seen these 2 pictures that looks exactly the same phone from the picture in OP.

You're welcome. Battery size should be 4000 mAh, to me isn't that low compared to other batteries

What? Why usb type A port its not logical and why no headphone jack!! Do they want to ruin their phones

Dunno about the USB, but as i observed from recent reviews about recent devices on tech sites, the remotion of the headphone jack is a bad choice that other OEMs already took in consideration from at least one year on other phones... An example? There's a rumor saying that the Google Pixel 2 won't have it. It's only a rumor, but even the idea scares me.
Removing the headphone jack is a bad choice, especially for a mid-range device
Am I the only one finding similarity in design with OP5 except fingerprint scanner obviously

It takes so much time to release in india.
Due to Huawei's recent marketing decisions (removing every available update package from their database, not providing android 7.0 to Honor 5X, disabling via software some NFC chips on Honor 6X, etc) and the possibility that this phone will miss an headphone jack, I'm sure I won't ever buy, and neither suggest to anyone, it.
I prefer even number...so maybe 8x...
Looks promising
Hi, is there any chance that the honor 7X will be available in philippines
