Sorry if this has been asked but searching google and the forums has turned up nothing conclusive. Is it possible to use the EVO on verizon (3g only obviously), or is it still locked to sprint? Thanks!
From what I understand it roams on Verizon when they have coverage and Sprint doesn't.

I think what he is asking is whether or not he can get it unlocked to use on Verizon services.
Im new to CDMA, so i would hesitate to answer this, but i just wanted to clarify his question.

3.7 in touchscreen....
the incredible is verizons nexus one
Simple answer: No, it won't happen.
Hard answer is: it could...illegal ways that cannot be spoken of on this forum. And the likely hood you will have everything working right on it...slim...data has always been a pain when you move carriers.
VZW Evo is the Droid Shadow, or Droid 2, or w/e its going to be named. Which probly wont come out to late June, or early july.
AndroidCentral: Droid Shadow
I got a text saying it off! Surprise nobody has posted anything yet

Here's the text,
Free T-Mobile msg: The AT&T merger is off, but we've never slowed down. We're investing billions in network coverage & reliability. http://t-mobile.com/attoff

Did you not read about this elsewhere? Everyone's known for like atleast 2 months
and people who actually followed the case could have told you it was off way earlier
I been following it since it become rumors, I posted it because I just received the text. I thought people would relate to it.

Dude, this is old news. Go pop in a beta-max movie or listen to an 8-track j/k

Thats weird. Usually they send a text to everyone if its something like this. I have yet to receive a text like that, anyways the merger was called off about a few months ago, and basically most people already know about it.
I got the same text about an hour ago. Also got a letter in the mail a couple weeks ago. Maybe they have Cedric the Entertainer working in the PR department..."Are you sure? Are you sure, sure?"

Yea i just got this. Its funny that if you follow the link and watch those videos of the iphones they're basically just saying that there 4g is faster than everyone elses 3g which is obvious. very stupid marketing
just got it today too.
To be fair, T-mobile's 3g is faster than everyone else's 3g...

Can someone help me step by step how to get the media net att plan?

As this has to do with carrier issues and not the device itself, moved to Off-Topic.
Sorry

You bumped a thread after 24 minutes. It was still on the first 10. Also, some people sleep you know.
There's already a thread on this in the Networking Forum.
Maybe someone might be able to help you here and please do not bump this thread or I will have to close it.

Are you trying to get an obsolete plan or get a data plan that's for dumbphones?
In either case, it's risky. Practically speaking, the former is impossible and the latter is dangerous as there's no guarantee you won't be caught when AT&T checks the IMEI.
If you want to save money, it's easier to just go prepaid on a MVNO that uses AT&T's network. Straighttalk is very popular (I don't use it but I've heard many success stories) for such cases - the only caveat is that "unlimited" data is not truly unlimited, as you're "warned" if you use "a lot" (there's no definite answer of what "a lot" is) of data. There's another thread in this forum about this plan if you want to do some more reading about it.

Come on, open your eyes
As I speak, it's 2 threads below this one. It even has StraightTalk in the title
I'm not sure if anyone else has had a chance to notice this but I recently used the app Phone Info to be able to toggle my LTE when I want to use just 3G and I noticed something neat. I noticed that when on the call my 3G indicator remained on, and usually it goes away until I get off the call. So i attempted to access the internet while still on the call and to my surprise voice and data worked simultaneously on 3G!
Probably not the most sought after capability on a phone but I definitely enjoy having the option.
Make sure you put sprint on the title, and yes the evo lte and the gs3 both have svdo and that's why it makes it possible, on att and tmobile it has been done already because of gsm technology

So i found this thread that says S3 and Evo LTE only works data and voice.
is there way to work data and voice same time?
i do a lot calls and i need to check mails and etc.
Not on 3G with the S4, however, voice and LTE work if you have LTE service in your area.

sigh i do get 4g lte around my area, but not all.
i just don get it!!!! s3 works but not s4...
also do you get lost data or drop call when 3g to lte, or lte to 3g convent?
Wifi and LTE work, not 3g.

Yea I am rooted on my I9505 but have not figured out how to get access or if there is a way. Ugh sucks figured sprint would at least keep the things that kept me with the galaxy line..it is to the point if you want to enjoy your phone you have to root.

What the heck are you talking about. You're on an international phone. So it shouldn't matter if sprint can't do voice and 3g at the same time.

I drive semi it is more productive when you can look up street view roads that may have weight limits height restrictions as you are calling the company letting then know about when you will arrive.we as drivers only have a certain amount of time to drive a day.thus makes my day that much more productive. Ten extra mins could be whether I make it to the next town or not.

That's not what I am talking about. I don't see why its a concern to you if by the look of it, you don't have a sprint gs4. If you want to be on the internet and phone at the same time. Stay with a gs3.

You said you were on your "rooted i9505". Sprint is SPH-L720. That's why you had me confused.
