Port CM Lockscreen Music Visualizer on OxygenOS? - OnePlus 2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello World. Is it possible to port Cyanogenmod's Lock Screen Music Visualizer to Oxygen OS?

That would be awesome!

That would be sweet. I'll look into it.

You can probably start by looking at this method posted on XDA a few months back.

Might be the easiest way to get something similar to CM. If someone can complete this method with success and post their modified SystemUI.apk, as long as you are on the same Oxygen build, it should work i think?

[Q] (Q) Screen-off animation

The screen-off animation found in gingerbread is pure eye-candy, is it possible in a easy way to port this to the X5?
Just a .zip and flash from recovery.
Edit: Oops, didn't know it automatically did add the "[Q]".
I would like to know if this is possible...
Easiest way to get it is to install cm7 beta...

I believe it might be possible, seeing a dev here has ported it into his Xperia X8 FroyoBeam rom. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1073930
There is a guide on rootzwiki. You have to decompile framework.apk and edit bools.xml.

HC Theme for ICS: Protips?

I'm currently working on a Honeycomb theme for ICS. I really prefer HC's UI style but I still want the features of ICS. I'm running into some obstacles though.
I'm directly modifying SystemUI.apk and framework-res.apk. Is there a better way than this?
9-patch PNGs are giving me issues. I've figured out how to use draw9patch but I can't get the PNGs to compile properly. I need one for the notification clock panel but I can't figure out how the 9-patch should be because I can't decompile either.
I've searched for about 3 days but I can't find help on how to decomiple and then recompile ICS APKs with apktool. Does anyone have a good source?
Would anyone else be interested in this mod? I'll try to figure out how to make a CWM ZIP if there's demand.

Pm me , I can give you my work shop that I setup for Ics.
And there is a better draw 9 patch tool , but it is not free.
But I gotta tell you now, I can help but I won't hold your hand with every step.
Don't have the time and the time I got goes to the theme building for flexreaper.

Theme Choser for Jellyshot

Hi everyone.
As no one on the rom thread want to help me, I'm asking here.
Could someone tell me how to add Theme Choser to this rom ? It may take ressources but I don't care, I want a nice phone.
Thanks.

It's not that they won't tell you, it's that you won't be able to do it, because it will take you a year to do it, even more so if you don't know crap to smali.
Theme chooser isn't only an APK you install. It's hours of modifications to framework.apk, systemui.apk and other programs that can get modded by themes (now contacts.apk and mms.apk)
It's just simpler taking CM base and building your own rom from it rather than taking an existing AOSP based rom and trying to merge in theme chooser.
HOWEVER, for the not so faint of heart but nowhere as hard as integrating theme chooser, you can simply mod the graphics of the rom permanently. Many people have done so quite successfully here, for example with rasbeanjelly rom.

ROM Suggestions needed, anything like Chroma for Nougat?

Need ROM Suggestion, something like Chroma?
I am still on Marshmallow Chroma and didn't get time to update to Nougat.
Now, Nougat Chroma is not there, so looking for an alternative. I haven't tried any Nougat ROM yet, so I have no idea.
Basic requirements I have is:-
1)Layers
2)Volume Rocker Wakeup
3)Double tap on Lockscreen and Status Bar to sleep.
I don't think any other more feature is needed, just ROM should be stable and a decent battery life works fine too. Also, if possible could someone explain the New Substratum system that replaced layers to me in Layman terms, I would be grateful.
Thanks

People hate to answer your question so maybe I can help a little, first the ROM depends on what suits your needs best thing to do is make a backup and try for yourself [emoji41] ...I personally haven't flashed anything in awhile I'm still using chroma 5.1..lol..Also I heard good things about cm version of nougat is OK..I think pure nexus ROM also just look around and do a little reading..hope that helps out
Sent from my Nexus 4 using XDA-Developers Legacy app

(Q) CRT of Screen off animations

Really miss the old way Android phones used to animate when the screen was locked.
Totally useless feature but it looked cool.
Xposed used to have a mod for it but not even sure that xposed still works or that I'd want to use it.
Would be great to get it back.
I would not class any of the apps on the play store (which are full of ads) to be an adequate replacement.
Anyone any ideas how to get it back?
Currently on stock with xXx NoLimits, rooted.
Any help or suggestions would be great.
Haven't flashed any of the full ROMs like carbon or PA yet, anyone know if they have it?
Yeah I have CRT working on op7tpro mclaren with aosip rom but before that I tried xposed screen off animations module with no success, best bet would be to flash custom rom would be my suggestion... Wish I could tell you which roms have it smh.

Aye I know about AOSIP. Illusion project, one of my favourite ROMs, it was on the p20 Pro.
I think carbon is maybe the best shout..
Tbh after yesterday, my battery has got a lot worse on xXx so will be looking for another to flash
So we'll give it another day then give it a shot.
