Go go asus.

Anyone already updating? Doesn't show on mine, already checked several times via system update
Sent from my ASUS_Z00AD using Tapatalk

nothing on the battery ..... That should be their primary priority but it seems they cannot fix it...

Aren't those release notes the same as for the last update??

Idiots not even fixed always on wifi problem...

Idiots is the word, not even capable to desactive that ****ING issue...
The day that Xiaomi sells phones in europe (without buying external vendors), i will certainly buy a Xiaomi and no more a Asus phone.
Asus is making efforts but not in the right direction and the outcome isn't better...
This Rom should have been far more better now...

Thanks for the links. But I already finished updating. Only 35.7mb. Minor bug fixes...

Any improvement? Wifi auto on on the scanning? Battery life?
Same statement - instead of all these small fixes, can asus spend time in 5.1.1 or Android M?

It looks like they have a roadmap very different of what the clients need s. This is not a good sign. Putting against the clients it's not a clever move.
I'm trying to understand what its on their mind. Probably they are putting lot off effort in me next model?
Probably they are making the same mistake that one plus one 2 cellphone that when it was released it was a disappointment.
@Asus keep in mind that people that decided to give you a opportunity won't give you an other chance if their basic needs are not fulfilled. You are not apple that has millions of clients that they buy what ever you sell.
Now you have like 5 6 different phones that basically are the same. Now you need to fix issues from 5 or 6 cellphones . And You can't fix the "flash ship phone" issues . You will sink as the titanic. There are lot of small and big companies that can take over your market.
Don't listen the "analysts", their are paid for recommendations, listen what clients WE need..

In my opinion, asus tries to totally fix this 5.0 until there's no more bugs present, beside the OS battery drain or ram leak. After that, probably they'll start to work on 5.1.1. Because it will be easier to develop when the minor bugs already fixed. Just give them a bit more time, 1 or 2 months.

probably bug fixes. and come to think of it.. blocking of current root / webtop hack methods. maybe i don't want to test it.
You can always flash the stock/leaked sbf if there are locks for the modified webtop etc

Bummer... was looking forward to some Gingerbready goodness! Has Motorola known to plug exploits in the past?
this will be just bug fixes, but may bring up HSUPA. I will flash this only if i get confirmation from the devs that i won't lose sim unlock and that somehow won't get a new firmware/bootloader that can hamper my ability to flash back to stock.
truth is, my phone is working ok from the most part.
everyone please subscribe! There are only 1000 testers, and as much testers than can be from this forum we will have a bigger voice on updates

"The Bootloader is not unlocked with the update. If that functionality was

I wonder if that hints that MOTO may be thinking about opening it up?

Lb2 india, illogical

So last night I checked on kies for the rumored march 1 Ics update.. Instead It showed an update to lb 2. Either way I updated it.. N frankly I see no changes a such between la5 and lb 2.
Also what is the point in releasing two firmwares within 15 days when Ics is set to roll just around the corner! Samsung ahold rather relocate this workforce at ics visions and make it launch sooner. I've read around the forum and I read no complaints by anyone with la 5. Why release frequent minor updates when major is set to hit soon?
Sent from my Galaxy Note using XDA premium
I think you are too optimistic about major ICS update soon.
Need not to have changes visual, if you want to say update means adding/removing application, then it is not true.
Have you marked what change in Modem?
How many application have change / modified for behaviour? there are lots of application have trigger with certain action, e.g. some application runs with connectivity change, power stat change and more. So that change log you can't see visually, but ultimately it improved android system performance, battery perfiormance, ROM management.
And yeah, all updates are voluntary.
Yeah also waiting for the official ics update.. But are a little pessimistic about the update happening soon.. I recall that samsungsaid that they first gona relesa the official for the sgs2 and after that to the note. And last info about the official update for sgs2 is set at Mars/may.. :/ i hope im wrong. .
Sent from my GT-N7000 using XDA App
While I empathize with your eagerness to get an ICS update (I myself am eager too) its too presuming to dismiss an update as pointless. I am sure there is more than what meets the eyes.
BTW I flashed the MIDNOTE ICS update. Its working fine for me so far and I am already loving the ICS

i see your point, however must add, it would be better if the updates were spaced evenly, in order to incorporate maximum changes in a single update. This would be better for both. the customer and samsung saving update related issues like say bricking... probably pointless is not the word..
and for ics, with la5 and lb2 rolling out at this time, i fear ics isnt gonna make it until next month.

"at this time" here this time is decided by us, not samsung, as samsung have never announce a date of release. You should not 'fear' but should 'strongly believe' that ICS for india is not on the way at least for couple of months.
Well Samsung is not updating all Notes, I am still on KKA/XEU - you guys should be happy to get official OTA update.

I agree. I dont think we will see a ICS upgrade in India before May-June 2012. If it happens by then, I will be happy.
Well you can't satisfy everyone. Too less updates ppl complain, too frequent updates ppl complain. I for one am happy there are more GB updates coming. Shows Samsung cares for their user base. Sure ics is coming but that doesn't mean they can't tweak GB more in the mean time. Btw Samsung never set a hard date for the arrival of isc, it's mostly fan speculation and I think your 1st of march was way too hopeful.
As the doc said, updating is optional and not forced upon at least

[ROM][BETA] SmartisanOS for OnePlus

==DISCLAIMER: I am not responsible for what you do to your device. This is not my work, even though I wish it was, I am just sharing what I have found on forums on the other side of the Earth. ==
Hello there ladies and gentlemen, I am here to present you with the great news, that finally a developer (unknown to me, and believe me I try to follow up) from the Chinese part of OPO (oneplusbbs.com) has made a breakthrough in porting SmartisanOS for OPO. I guess you could tell from my avatar, that I have been interested in this for a while. So much so, that I have asked many developers (European and Chinese) to try their luck on porting the closed SmartisanOS
What is Smartisan (from the original website - The English name "Smartisan" is a portmanteau of "smart" and "artisan," signifying "artisanship in the smartphone era.")?
Well, SmartisanOS is an award winning , state of the art, designer's view on how Android should look like in order to be more pleasing to the eye, with a lot of functionality at your fingertips and at the same time keep the customisation level quite high. As they say: "With its exquisite interface, entrancing animations, near-perfect Chinese typography, and hundreds of thoughtfully designed features, SmartisanOS is a joy to use, every minute of every day." And yes I can confirm that as I have used a very very old version of it (0.997 alpha) on my previous phone (MI2).
So what is so different with it?
Well, the whole design and concept is so complete and beautiful, that it urges you to use it as it is and not modify/change anything. You don't trust me -- have a look at here. And actually to see it in action (videos in Chinese), follow the links for each application: calendar, clock, dialer, notes and weather
Want to see more?
Here's a presentation of SmartisanOS 1.4. Do check it out, since it contains A LOT OF information, that can be useful for you, if you're wondering whether to try it or not. For example, it shows you that you can have a normal app drawer if you somehow don't like the default one (where everything is on the deskrop (Apple style)).
Here are some nicely written tutorials about the system-wide controls, the lockscreen, and the launcher!
Should you like to experience certain apps, before testing the whole framework, here are some links: calendar, notes, e-mail, clock, or maybe everything bundled together in a launcher.
Who is it for?
Obviously not everyone. This is a beta and you should not complain about missing features and so on. If you are happy running CM based ROMs then this is NOT for you, so don't hate it.

Quick review after 1 hour:
Apparently this ROM based on ColorOS, so no Multirom support. Have to install it as primary to be able to boot.
SuperSU 2.49 PRO and RootExplorer came pre-installed. No gapps though, you have to flash separately. I use gapps KK 20140606, but having issue downloading apps currently.
What's not working:
- camera. installing 3rd party doesn't help. edit: fixed in v2.
- USB charging. edit: apparently only issue in notification, 100% showed 10, 50% showed 5, etc..
- NFC
- flashlight
- double tap 2 wake. enabling it via kernel adiutor doesn't help.
- v2: keep getting Touchpal contact FC
What's working:
- Viper4android
- weather
- xposed
- everything else

Android 6.0 for ZE551ML is dissapointment

I'm disappointed.
- NFC Quick setting is gone.
- Some apps like Messenger works weird.
- SMS sound won't be remembered after choosing.
- Can't move apps to SD.
- Can't be rooted by tethering recovery.
they are still on the testing phase.
The one you've downloaded was just for beta testers and Asus mistakenly uploaded it publicly.
Do some reading sir, before posting thread like this.
It's also a beta currently, so I guess the only disappointment is to those who don't read before jumping into things.

Exactly!
Point 1 is a shame (but no NFC on 550 so doesn't affect us 550 owners).
Point 2 - what do you mean by weird? Works fine for me.
Point 3 - beta bug, will be fixed.
Point 4 - replaced in M by adoptable storage option, which has been disabled by ASUS (and LG, and Samsung) but is easy to enable via adb (I made a thread on that earlier).
Point 5 - complaining you can't root a new software version when it has only just released is stupid. Just be patient, root will come (and in fact just seen the thread with instructions for root and xposed via tethered TWRP!)
it is beta. not official release

1 - I am 551 user.
2 - When i call, i hear ringing from big speaker first.
3 - This is ridiculous bug. I had it in Xperia L's stock too.
4 - Another reason why i rolled back to Lollipop.
5 - Just another reason... I hope someone makes systemless root ASAP.
http://techterms.com/definition/beta_software
Install/move to SD on lollipop is terrible and almost pointless, because even when you move files to the SD it leaves files on internal as well, often almost as big as the originals. Hardly saves any space. Try the new style on M - only takes a line of adb code to enable and it's much better than the old way.
Trolling thread is always troll...
Don't feed the troll...
it is a beta for testers only , now we got root and we can flash back to 5.0 to relock bootloader -- do we need anymore lol
