Hi all,
I have a Huawei P8 Lite, company owned.
In order to configure my company mail on the device a device policy forces a device encryption.
After the device is encrypted bluetooth isn't working.
Factory reset solves the porblem.
Encrypting device breaks bluetooth again.
Obviously I cannot root the device or do any fishy stuff as it's company owned, but does anybody have any idea how to solve this issue?
Or point me in the right direction.
Anyone any ideas?
So Huawei says it is a security feature.
When you encrypt Bluetooth is disabled the same with your GPS.
I know it is stupid, but then again they did concoct Emui
That's just a lame excuse for something they can't fix.
What's the point of having encryption if it breaks other features.
Never Huawei again...
Not quite, because I experience many problems with Bluetooth connection to my carkit, and I do not use encryption of my P8 lite. Only coded screenlock ( is that right translation?)

Hi. This happened to me twice on my Dopod 900 so I'm guessing something is wrong here. I have a 128bit WEP enabled home WiFi network. The Dopod works well on this network but I was asked on two occasions to enter the WEP key again. I enter it and it works for a few days and then all of a sudden it is asked of me again... Anyone else seen this behavior? Any ways to avoid it? Thanks
You're not the only one.
The Universal loses my access points (completely disappears from the list) and wants to re-pair my Bluetooth devices (GPS and headset) (sometimes they are listed, sometimes they disappear from the list, too) every so often. I'm surprised no one else has talked about this either.
I've seen it also. If your universal seems unusually slow to connect ot the access point, you better have to stop it, or it will loose your access poitn info. After a soft reset, everything goes back to normal.
This behaviour is appening rarely though, and is not a major bug to me, as it only appens once every 100 connections. It can also depend on your access point.
I connect my o2 Exec with my own and four different customer's ADSL-router/gateway/WiFi devices and have not experienced this, even when a couple of weeks elapse between my site visits. I normally configure full WPA-PSK/TKIP encryption, MAC address restrictions and use DHCP allocated addresses. A VPN is then used to connect from the wireless side through another firewall to the internal network.
Is there any correlation between the WiFi routers that have given you all problems. I use various ZyXEL models.
Getting really strange... All of a sudden, I'm getting prompted for my Exchange password that I connect to 4Smartphone.net... It seemed to have forgotten the password?
WTF?!?
lose wep
same for me
So it is not only my ****ty non -updated sfr rom ;-)
Are you getting a NO GSM message on your boot screen and/or is your IMEI missing from the Device Information applet?
I'm trying to see if the two issues are related.
I got the NO GSM message, and from that point forward, I lost the pairing of my Bluetooth devices and the wireless access points.
My theory: Any passwords or authentications are encrypted using the IMEI of the phone portion. When the IMEI is not present (shows a blank under Device Information) due to the NO GSM issue, the Windows Mobile OS instantly wipes out those "invalid" passwords or authentications or simply invalidates them, causing you to reauthenticate the device to other devices.

I don't know if it is relevant, but in the last 10 days I've come up with the PHONE OFF display without any reason. When this happens the phonepad appears out of nowhere, instead of my carrier's logo, it says Phone Off and the 9000 freezes.
Only soft reset solves the problem No I didn't have any problems YET with the WEP keys in my wifi connections...
Should I be worried though???
I'm not getting a NO GSM message on my boot screen or my IMEI is missing not from the Device Information applet. Sorry for not being able to confirm your hunch. The only times this happened to me was when I was at an extreme edge of the WiFi coverage and signal was very low. I was flipping in & out of it and eventually the WEP key prompt popped up. Very strange. Moral of the story for the time being for me, stay near that AP... Oh by the way, its a Netgear for what its worth.
Save and Restore Wifi Settings
My understanding is if there is any problem connecting to Wifi, WM6 deletes the Wifi settings for that access point. I think my friends have come up with a quick solution to this problem. Wifi Hero is a little application you can get for $2 that saves and restores your wifi settings using standard Windows Mobile APIs. Search for "Wifi Hero" and you should find it or the direct link is http://www.wireless-apps.net/desc.php?d=d1&id=246823
The coders work for Implicit Software (www.ImplicitSoftware.com) if anyone is interested in a site licence for this tool you can contact them through their web page.
Have you guys tried going to start>settings>connections>wifi>power> and putting it at "best performance." I've heard of similar (also experienced) issues when the bar was at best battery.
Hi,
I am currently developing an application that would require to have hotspot activated, and, at the same time, perform wifi scans and connect to another wifi network.
The problem I am facing now is that when I call WifiManager.setWifiEnabled, it disables the hotspot, and when I call WifiManager.setWifiApEnabled (via reflection), it disables the wifi.
Are there hardware limitations that prevent from doing this? What do I have to do to succeed? Is this even possible? Has someone already done something like this?
Thank you,
>>>Aylatan
I found a workaround for the scanning problem, which is to disable the hotspot just the time for the scan to complete, and re-enable it after.
Unfortunately, this cannot be done for the wifi connection, as it will require much more time to proceed.
None has ever tried something like this ?
Hello everybody,
Have bought an H870DS and apart from the missing root permissions happy with it.
The problem now is that when I'm at work it loses the wireless connection after some time and stops seeing networks (see picture). The only thing that helps is rebooting or switching aircraft mode on and off (in the long run it is not a solution) and then it keeps the connection for some time. Happens only in the work environment and not at home. I already deleted system cache data and could still factory reset. Happens also with disabled data saver, VPN, alarm, etc.
I have another week to return the device. Can someone help me.
Install LG bridge software on your PC and update your firmware, even if you're running the latest revision of Android for your phone.
Hello people,
I've a drone (a cheap one, of course :crying:, I'm not rich) and I can't connect to it's wifi.
I've tried to do that with an old Samsung S4 without an issue and it works very good.
I've tried with a Xiaomi Mi A1 and it works good too.
My only issue is S7 Edge (SM-G935F). I've tried to connect it with custom, LineageOS, ResurrectionRemix latest roms.
It seems to me that S7 don't connect to that Wi-Fi because there's no internet connection, so it releases network.
Of course phone is working correctly and connects to other Wi-Fi networks.
Is there a good person that can help me, please?
Thanks,
ghale
PS: Drone is SJRC F11
Did you find a fix?
Hi, I just joined the site as I have exactly the same problem with the same Drone and same Phone. Did you manage to find a fix?
Regards
Hello.
No, I'm sorry.
I switched phone.
I tried everything.
Hi! Don't worry because you can solve this problem very easily. I also have a drone, and I had the same problems initially. I thought I wasted my money, but that's not it. There are a lot of guides on WeFlyWithDrones that will help you solve your problems. In my case, it was the problem in the drone, but not in the phone. I just had to restart the drone, holding down the power button for 9 seconds until I heard three beeps, and that's all. The wi-fi from the drone reset, and I was able to connect the phone to it. In your case, it may be another problem, so try more possibilities to solve the problem.
Good day,
So I downgraded my Nokia 6 from 9 to 7.1.1 because it became so laggy and unresponsive sometimes + other bugs here and there.
Now the phone wants to download a major update idk if it's 8 or 9 but idk how to skip it there is no skip button.
anyone who can help me with this?
I highly appreciate it.
Been a while since I did an initial setup but wasn't there a way to skip the wifi and data connection during the setup? I think if you can bypass the wifi/data connection, the phone can't search for updates. Then once the setup is finished, the developer options had a setting for turning off OS auto update.

Well I think there was a way to skip it, but I think I couldn't because of FRP, the option wasn't there anywhere.
I ended up upgrading to pie again and it asked me to enter the account and the password and I did then it worked.
For some reasons the phone stopped lagging and being slow on Pie, so I decided not to downgrade again.
