Still need help with Reverting back to Kitkat on S5 - Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So I posted a thread the other day to try and find help with my S5 I just got, yet no avail. So I'm here again, trying a new one to see if it gets me anywhere. The problem is this, I believe my phone is un-able to revert to Kitkat, because Kitkat was never on it in the first place. It came stock, out of the box with Lollipop. So I'm looking for anyway to get it to Kitkat, even if I have to brick the darn thing by removing the bootloader and everything on the phone to load in stock kitkat. So any advice or questions would be so very helpful. I'm going crazy trying to find a solution! Please help!

[Q] URGENT/ASAP HELP PLEASE - Selling Phone Tommorw

Hey
I have a Galaxy S4-19500. It has the official 4.3 android stock ROM installed. I have tried to flash a stock kernel onto the phone but nothing changes.
How can I get this to stock before I sell it tomorrow?
Also is there anyway to get rid of binary count im on stock unrooted but still getting 1 warranty bit

This is an image of my software settings atm.
Your help is deeply appreciated.
Bumb bumb bumb bumb
Nothing wrong here.
I don't see anything wrong with this. If you haven't tried rooting this before with 4.2.3 then flashed the new 4.3 Firmware manually, you'll be just fine.

Why don't you just flash a new stock rom and start afresh. As for the warrant bit, i don't think you can reset it sorry.
RULE 5. Create a thread or post a message only once.
As a large forum, we don't need unnecessary clutter. You're free to edit your message as you like, so if you do not receive an answer, revisit your message and see if you can describe your problem better. Not everyone is online at the same time so it might take a while before you receive an answer. (Also refer to Rule 16)
RULE 16. Bumping Threads (posting simply to force a thread to the top of the thread queue)
Do not "bump" a thread more than once per 24 hours.
I only made two threads as one wasn't posted as a question, I tried to delete the other then realized I couldn't.
I needed help urgently i'm sorry if this caused any trouble. I just want the phone to be stock so I can sell it today with no problems.
I already flashed a stock ROM and it won't get rid of that kernel.
As for the bumping , I didn't read the rule and now I have I won't do it again.
So is the kernal i have at the moment stock? Because I remember getting it from Rom Switcher. Im not going to root the phone again.
Then why does it say installed OCT 14? Is that not a custom kernel?

[Q] Question in regards to stock rom

Hi guys!
So I too, like many on this forum started my adventure of rooting and throwing a custom rom on my device, because the grass is always greener on the other side, right?
In my particular case I threw CyanogenMod 11 onto my SM-N9005, and though it took a great many tries I finally did it, but lo'n behold did it bring an ocean of troubles to my device. I believe the whole issue is my phone has a bootloader 4.3, and the CyanogenMod 11 is KitKat 4.4.2. I am not sure if this is what is causing my trouble, but I believe it is. Both my wifi, bluetooth and MMS have all stopped working.
I know this forum is usually great at helping out people, as I experienced in my first thread here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=50821847 ( Big shoutout to Rosli59564 who was being very patient and helpful! )
I've now fooled around trying to fix my wifi, but I've come to accept I simply cannot get it to work, and now wish nothing else but to go back to the stock rom for Note 3, bootloader 4.3 compatible. I really hope there is a kind soul out there, who could point me in direction of it, it'd be so very much appreciated!
- Sincire, the Dane.
- Edit -
To clarify.
I have the international model, SM-N9005
Bootloader is 4.3
I live in Norway, if that has anything to say.
- Double edit -
I am not interested in custom roms or anythign anymore. I just wish to get my device as close to stock as possible. I've found a ton of information about going back to stock rom, but they all talk as if I had 4.4.2 already, and that has me confused, as my bootloader is only 4.3, cheers!

Please help restore stock JellyBean software LG G2 TMobile

Hello,
I will ask for your forgiveness in advance. I am not a regular on the forum and do not understand all the abbreviations and jargon. I have a T-Mobile LG G2. I really like the phone. That is until I downloaded Kit Kat. Now it sucks. I hate the update for various reasons that aren't important right now.
Can someone please help me locate a thread or post directions with links on how to restore the stock JellyBean software? I called both T-Mobile and LG and they said to back everything up and do a factory reset. Well, apparently the Jelly Bean software has been permanently overwritten. It is still Kit Kat. So that was a waste of hours my time.
I'd be happy going back to stock the day I pulled the phone out of the box. Please help!!!
Thank you in advance.
Neill
As far as I know, it is not necessarily an easy process unless you have done it before. I have done it a few times, and it works, but it is a little "hairy" if you are not technical;

Thanks for the reply. I'll read over the other thread and see if I can give it a shot.

You can find all the info you need in this post.
Don't know what your firmware is but the oldest base you can go is NB1 (4.4.2).
Root the phone with towel root.
Install either flash fire or safestrap and flash the desire lollipop rom.
Hello! I don't want to start a new thread just yet, but I'm also stuck in a bootloop after a mishap during a manual update. Is it possible to recover any of the internal files when recovering the phone, or is it impossible? Honestly, I just want the files off of my phone more than anything else. There are a lot of memories there that I would love to save...I know, I know, I should have backed up those files, but that chance is gone now. :crying:

trying to get back to where I was

Hey folks. I was on rooted pb1 custom rom with unlocked bootloader. Ran into some issues, created a mess, and had to Odin back to rooted 4.4.4 ni2. I'm trying to figure out the easiest way to get back to rooted 5.0 pb1 on my own, and am getting confused. Seems like a lot of folks are bailing on this device, but I can't afford to yet. Can someone be kind enough to point me in the right direction. Any help would be appreciated.
Been looking at many old threads and finding a lot of dead download links. Can anyone just help me get started?
Figured this out a while ago, if mod wants to delete
