Hey folks. I was on rooted pb1 custom rom with unlocked bootloader. Ran into some issues, created a mess, and had to Odin back to rooted 4.4.4 ni2. I'm trying to figure out the easiest way to get back to rooted 5.0 pb1 on my own, and am getting confused. Seems like a lot of folks are bailing on this device, but I can't afford to yet. Can someone be kind enough to point me in the right direction. Any help would be appreciated.
Been looking at many old threads and finding a lot of dead download links. Can anyone just help me get started?
Figured this out a while ago, if mod wants to delete

Hi, I'm new to the forums and I'm sorry if this is a repost, but I was up until 3AM last night trying to figure this out and had no luck.
Yesterday I managed to root my girlfriends G1 and install a custom rom onto it. I had no experience with it before, but managed to do the whole process fairly easily. After using her phone as a guinnea pig, I decided to look up how to root my sprint hero. Heres where things get difficult. Nothing seems to be working :/ I think its because I updated the firmware a couple days ago to 2.1(eclair I think). Is it still possible to root the phone, possibly via downgrade? Every article I'm finding on how to do it is from january or so, so something recent would be greatly appreciated. I'm a complete noob to all of this, and any help is great.

Hello there!
I have a Galaxy Note 3 i9005. I used to have it rooted (towelroot) but I accidentally updated the phone to version 4.4.2 which sadly removed my root. I've had my phone for about a year, and I feel it's time to spice things up with a new rom, but I find myself lost in this whole flashing jungle.
So, my questions are, is it possible for me to safely root & flash my phone? If so, could anyone point me in the right direction? I've tried searching a bunch but it's very hard to find in-depth guides explaining the process in detail. I don't even know if such a guide exists for the Note 3.
I live in Sweden so I don't think the phone has a locked bootloader if that affects anything.
Please help me.

I've rooted several new note 3 with this method..http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-3/general/root-root-xxufnf4-stock-firmware-knox-t2840150
I managed to root it with that method! Knox is 0x0, thanks for the pointer man
Now, I'd like to know how to flash a custom rom. I've been looking a lot at different custom roms, however I can't seem to decide which one I want. Besides, I don't even know if I'm able to flash my phone since I'm running Android 4.4.2. All guides takes for granted that you have some knowledge with flashing, which I don't.
So I posted a thread the other day to try and find help with my S5 I just got, yet no avail. So I'm here again, trying a new one to see if it gets me anywhere. The problem is this, I believe my phone is un-able to revert to Kitkat, because Kitkat was never on it in the first place. It came stock, out of the box with Lollipop. So I'm looking for anyway to get it to Kitkat, even if I have to brick the darn thing by removing the bootloader and everything on the phone to load in stock kitkat. So any advice or questions would be so very helpful. I'm going crazy trying to find a solution! Please help!
So I was running MOAR for a while, took me forever to get it up and going, and that was early last year when I set it up....
All the bookmarked threads I have now are closed and have dead links.... and I've had to start over at least 5 times just to get to ne9.
I was able to get to NE9 with root, but now am having some trouble getting back to 5.0
Could someone point me towards a more current guide or how-to?
Also since its been so long, any suggestions for a ROM would be greatly appreciated - hoping to get xposed working on it as well.
Thanks and sorry for the ignorance!
I ve the unlocked version and it's rooted and everything. I just need help on getting my mobile hotspot to work. Somebody help!
Hi guys! My Verizon Samsung Galaxy S5 is still running NE9 with Towelroot. I've avoided upgrading for a long time, but I'm ready to pull the trigger and finally get Lollipop. I'd like to keep root is possible. I've searched a lot of forums, but can't find anything about upgrading from a version this old. Most instructions involve "downgrading" to NE9, but I'm unsure if it would be the same for a phone that has never been upgraded past NE9. I just don't want to brick this phone because I love it! What should I even be upgrading to at this point? XDA has always been such a helpful resource in the past, I'm hoping to get some love on this. Thanks!
