My phone came from CPW in the UK. Generic unbranded ROM version:

Product code XEU
PDA G928FXXU1AOH3
CSC G928FXEU1AOGG
So I downloaded an O2 specific (my network) from Sammobile as below:

I turned on OEM unlock in Dev options and started upgrading via Odin 3.10.6. It failed and soft bricked not suprisingly. Got it all back and working using Samsung smart switches emergency recovery.
Can't see why it'd fail, it's stock firmware. Anyone had success in flashing via Odin? I tried again with Odin 3.09 but now it won't flash at all.
Any ideas?
Try 3.10.7 that's the version that is recommended for our phones mate

I remember seeing this issue in another thread for a different device. Seems this error is due to flashing firmware from a different region. They were able to edit the .tar file to get it to work. Not sure if this solution will work for our device but you may want to do some research first.
Here is the link;
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-s/general/samsung-lollipop-range-tab-s-t3021612/page32
So this could be a CSC issue? My CSC is XEU which is UK & IRE / GB according to Phone INFO. I can change it as I have Root. Might just wait for a Custom ROM to be created and flash via Philz recovery.

works here too, Even with the first 4.2.2 German Update: Just had to hit menu button to start it up. :cyclops:
for anyone else , in the menu just select and set it to while charging from default dock mode , as most did not notice it because likely no one was using a dock.
Updated mine the other day. I noticed lower benchmark score (from 18K+ down to 17.5K+). Anyone with same experience?. Also, I have to uninstall some updated apps from playstore and install it again before they function right. (Case in point, Google Chrome, Drive, G+, and WeChat).

Sir,
You have quoted my post but I'm asking different thing. I think LTC build is released only for Austria and not for Australia (this is as per SamMobile web site). You posted screenshot which shows date of 26Jul while this Austrian LTC build shows build date 26Nov. So if I download from link - https://my.pcloud.com/#page=publink&code=Xip , it will be latest austrian release or some old release?
Just for my clarification before labouring for flashing..
Thanks..!!

Do you know if it is ok to install this on N8013? I have seen ROMs that support both N8000 and N8013, but I don't know about the official one...
EDIT:
Forgive my stupid comment, I got excited
N8000 is the 3G variant. N8010 is the other WiFi one. I got confused.
i'm not really sure but base on this post it's possible
http://www.android.gs/update-galaxy-note-10-1-n8000-n8013-official-android-4-1-2-jelly-bean/
hell yeah it's very risky to try...
Who already try official 4.4 ROM give some comments and screen shoot , cos also planning to update this , thanks

Can you tell us if it has KNOX or not?
Thanks!
I have a Samsung galaxy s7 edge which is still on the marshmallow firmware. It is 6.0.1
baseband version: G935FXXU1APB2
Is there anyone out there who is like me with still no Nougat update.
Iv searched for new updates but it keeps saying I am on the latest firmware.
I know s7 edge has had the nougat update for a while now just wondering how or when I will get it?
Thanks
which country are you using your phone in ?
Have you done any modifications to your phone, that could cause the phone no to download updates ?
Nope no modifications. Was bought from ebay.
Iv installed this phone info app and iv gone into that and it says latest firmware forbidden?
Why is this the case?
The csc codes are blank too
I am in the UK
Go to sammobile and download stock firmware for your country and network and flash with odin..make sure you check what chip your device is..ie snapdragon or exynos?

thanks for you reply.
It unlocked version i think its the Europe version and how do i know what processor it is?
Also does it matter which one i install CSC
i am going to install the UK Europe one and will that be ok flashing with odin
Does this process void warranty.
https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/galaxy-s7-edge/SM-G935F/
is that ok above?
Iv installed Sammobile device info app and that shows baseband version product code and boot loader but CSC is blank.
So if i just flash CSC and then try OTA update from phone will it find Nougat update?
Yes flashing csc should be fine..i think its btu..and it wont void warranty as its a stock firmware and not custom..

Thanks can i just flash csc or do i need to flash any other things like modem? Or anything else in odin?
Csc is fine..its only a file to find your region and once you do a software update on your phone it will download all necessary files anyway which will be different on nougat..

Well btu is the uk unlocked one so i would go with that..have you used odin before?
Sent from my SM-G935F using XDA-Developers Legacy app
Yes used odin before many years ago been a while i think you just select the csc file you want to flash and put the phone in download mode and flash it.
Do you think thats the reason why the phone does not update to nougat because its missing the csc file?
Where do i get the csc file from sammobile?
Thanks for your fast response.

Yes m8 as every update is different for other regions..but you might aswell flash the whole firmware as you have to download it all for the csc anyway..and check on afew youtube videos m8 before flashing as this phone is abit more different compared to years ago..

Thats fine thanks a lot for your help.
Will download nougat firmeware when sammobile site goes into action at the moment cant download free version due to maintenance work.
Will the firmware contain all the files that are needed to flash? CSC/PDA
Im on marshmallow now can i flash using odin the nougat?
Sorry for asking so many questions its just that last time i flashed using odin was using the galaxy s2 times. Dont want to risk a bricked phone.
Just want it to update to nougat thats all.
Thanks for your help once again might need you when iv downloaded the firmware and about to flash it in a couple of days time.
Ha no worries..yes u just download the s7 edges model and network and the country you want in sammobile download it and it will contain three files and it will overwrite everything and upgrade to nougat..its fine the s7 isn't easily bricked flashing official firmware but is slighty different from the s2 days..?
