I've never really had a problem with hulu in the past, but within the last week, the Hulu app on the Shield has been giving tons of problems with buffering content.
Almost every show on there now seems to lock up and buffer like crazy. The only way to get it to stop is to force close and clear cache for the Hulu App.
Anyone else having this problem or am I going crazy?
Have you recently performed any updates? Try clearnig the cache and possibly data of the app. If that doesn't fix it, it's a problem with the app version (possibly updated itself, I've noticed the market updates sideloaded apps) or the 1.4 rom update possibly giving you problems.
I'm on the 1.4 Update. I noticed it a day or two before the update though.
I've already updated the Hulu app and I've tried clearing both Cache and Data. The only way to get it ot stop stuttering and freezing is to clear the cache each time before loading the app.
I've been running into this with my Nexus Player and Kindle Fire HDX tablet lately as well. I think a recent update has caused some issues.
Hi '
This problem is nothing but a timing .Sometime it occurs so you should update and clear your device.and then will be ok.Go to the playstore and download latest and update browser.
Hulu locks up or goes to black screen!!

I have the same issue!!! Using Shield TV Pro on Android 6 (Marshmallow) NOT Rooted... I have to clear the cache as well, but it's something wrong with app. I don't know what, but a previous version doesn't have these issues. I'm a network engineer, so I'm pretty sure it is not an issue with my internal LAN, but can't fully rule out the WAN because of access restrictions past my service connection...lol. Well not legally that is...lol

Greetings. I have a Motorola Xoom and when I run Netflix, the first time it looks fine. After that, When I run it again, the Netflix menu looks huge and I cannot really navigate around it. The only way to fix the problem is to either clear the Netflix cache and data every time before I use it (requiring me to log back in each time), or installing version 1.3 (which then annoyingly prompts me to upgrade every time I launch it).
Does anyone else have this problem? Is there a fix?
Nobody else has this problem? Really?
I run Netflix on Xoom quite often but I don't have the problems you describe. My issues are usually with the app locking up and needing to force close it and restart. It was definitely running much better in the older versions.
I have the exact same problem, but I can't solve it even if I clear the cache. It's somehow showing the "stretched" phone UI instead the tablet UI. It's just unusable now.
Same problem here.....it went away for awhile, but it is back. Even tried facotry reset, didn't work.
I was able to install an HD version on Xoom running ics ROM

May fix your problem but I doubt it. This should just change the buffering.
I had netflix issues too with honeycomb. It wouldn't even load to even log in.
Flashing the EOS nightly ICS rom fixed it.
What I did is uninstall find version 1.3 install that and visit the market it sees the old version and updates it.
Working fine now.
I have 1.3 if you need it I think but its the one found in xda forums

Hello,
I purchased a Xoom yesterday and applied the 3.2 update earlier today. My youtube app was working correctly before but since applying the OTA update, it keeps crashing.
The application launches but when i click "Your Channel" it crashes everytime. Ive tried to clear the cache on youtube, i've restarted the tablet a couple times but i am at a loss on how to proceed.
Any ideas?

It is a known issue to everyone youtube app force close on honeycomb, guys if you encounter the same problem like everyone else just send report to let the developer know about this issue
Started crsshingfor me today as well. Team EOS 1.0.
I wanted to find out if any other N10 owner had this issue. I get frequent force closes,or "clock has stopped" randomly, mostly when playing games. That's the only time I've noticed. I've tried force closing the clock app, clearing cache and data. It seems to work for a bit, but comes back eventually. Kinda at a loss here...figured maybe it was a bug in the latest firmware.
Anyone else, or is it just me?

I had the same issue, it was quite annoying, I even experienced the error while using multi-user mode. I have not had clock FC since I rooted the device. My guess is the wipe/factory reset I did during the procedure resolved the anomaly.
Yep, I've experienced this issue since day 1. Happens sporadically...

Happens here as well. 4.2 seems to be buggy as hell. It seems my tablet reboots overnight almost all the time because in the morning my recently used apps list is always empty
I'm getting this quite frequently now. It's very annoying and keeps coming back.

If it makes you feel any better, this is a cross platform, cross ROM issue. I am having the same problem with a Samsung Galaxy Note 2, and I have seen the same problem reported on S3s, S4s, Droid Bionics, etc.
I keep looking to see if Google is providing an update, but no apparent response despite the growing chorus of complaints and reports.
I had this issue when I flashed the latest Paranoid Android alpha update and their new gapps.
I flashed previous gapps and updated everything and I'm good now.

I had this problem out of nowhere yesterday morning. I removed extensions, etc. Nothing had changed since it had worked the day before, other than their new "listen" rollout, or that pandora competitor.
It would immediately crash with an "aw, snap" every time, within a millisecond.
So I went here: support.google.com/googleplay/?rd=1#contact=1
and filled that out. Got the auto response email with some pat, boilerplate problem solving stuff.
But I didn't do ONE THING, and it fixed itself.
I have a hunch that they get receipt of that, and check your account and fix it behind the scenes. That's the only thing I can think of, because I didn't do a thing, and it stopped working.... and started working again after I didn't do a thing (other than try to remove extensions).....
that support troubleshooter may have done the trick. I am back up and running.
I had the same problem when upgrading to Play Music 5.0.something; what I did to overcome the FC's:
1. Clean cache Download Manager
2. Clean cache Play Music
3. Clean cache Media Storage
4. Reboot
I had the same problem and uninstalled updates to roll back to the prior version. Then on Friday, I saw the update pending and decided to try again. Somehow, it did indeed fix itself. However, what I notice now is that it likes to un in the background on its own from time to time -- enough that it seems to be interfering with battery life . . . .
Works fine for me, never had an issue. I don't use it though as I don't listen to music on my phone
Has anyone experienced the following behavior:
On a couple of occasions with Netflix playing a show it will kick itself out and Sling will start to load. I don't use Sling, but I have previously opened the app to check it out. I have force closed the Sling app and it seems to have stopped this behavior, but I did find a recent reddit thread that described a similar issue and was wondering if anyone here has experienced it. Don't know if it is a hardware or software issue since I got the nexus player only a couple of weeks ago and just received the update to 6.0.
Had same issue with SlingTV app opening on its own
I've had the same issue as well: occasionally Netflix is playing and the Sling App opens and I have to manually close it. I've never seen it happen in any other app, but then I'm generally using Netflix on the NP so I can't say for sure. I uninstalled SlingTV before I updated to Marshmallow (about the same time as the OP) and have not reinstalled it. Hopefully it was a 5.1 issue only or a subsequent update in one of the two apps fixed the issue since no one else has posted about it.

I for one do use and am subscribed to Sling and I can say their app is always doing this. It is even worse on Marshmallow. It completely wags out the Nexus Player. If they don't fix this issue I will be unsubscribing and deleting the damn app.
