My girlfriends phone screen died, but the phone still functions
Airplane mode / flight mode was turned on prior to the screen dying

Hi,
I regularly put my phone and Pebble Smartwatch into flightmode at work. This is always annoying, because I have to do both devices seperately, pull out the phone etc.
With Android Wear I'm hoping I can do it all from the watch.
This is the idea: a small app that I trigger on the Wear Smartwatch, it turns on Flight Mode on the Phone, leaving BT on and then puts the watch in Flight Mode. When I want to reacticate, I simply actuvate the app again, and it turns on BT on the watch, connects to phone and deactivates flight mode.
Are there apps out there that offer this?
Thanks.

Well, If flightmode is on, you can't leave BT on. And i'm not sure that any app can turn on/off the watch BT.
For the phone flightmode, you can use ifttt. Just setup an Android Wear button on "if" and a setting on "then". You should be able to turn WIfi & 3G network off with this app.
Hi guys
Is the GPS supposed to be on or off in Airplane mode? Mine seems to be on which seems odd to me. I have an app that just keeps using GPS even though it's closed and the phone is in airplane mode. I need it for work so I can't disable location access to it. Was hoping airplane mode would shut location off but it doesn't...
I'm on 4.5.10

it's the same for me and it makes perfect sense. Airplane mode is meant to disable all communication that might interfere with the plane. GPS, however, is receiving only (and the satellite doesn't care if your device is listening or not), so there is no need to disable it as it cannot interfere with a plane.
If your requirement is to have gps disabled in some places, why don't you disable it? I mean you have to manually go into airplane mode anyway, so why not disable gps manually via quick settings in the notification bar and you're good?
Been using chinese phones for a while and have my phone auto off at night and auto on for when i get out of bed so that i am not disturbed by phone calls
Is there an app that would be recommended to either do this for power or airplane mode?
Is there a way to automatically toggle on than off the airplane mode when signal is lost ive had a issue on Verizon where when i loose signal it doesn't automatically come back until i toggle airplane mode on than off so im trying to find a way to make my phone do this as soon as i loose signal I cant figure Tasker out and every other app doesnt work right
Tasker used to be able to do things like this..
Might be worth a shot
I'm wondering if there's a hack somewhere to add the Airplane Mode function to available 'Rules' , or if anyone knows about any planned additions?
At the moment, it's limited to:
Turn On Do Not Disturb
Set Phone To Silent
Set Phone To Vibrate
Set Phone To Ring
Adding Airplane Mode would be really helpful.
