I have a Yureka phone that is stuck at boot screen. Haven't done anything to it, it's with stock rom, unrooted and locked!
Fastboot and stock recovery are working.
Now I don't want to loose my data in internal memory photos etc! by unlocking and installing custom recovery to install stock rom again or do a factory reset!
Is there a way?

then choose install
choose the aroma zip
then copy your required files into sd card

I flashed the latest 4.2.2 factory image from google. but it wont boot. stuck at ''X'' boot animation. I can access bootloader. I have tried several times but no luck. it still stucks at boot logo. then i flashed team win recovery and tried to install a custom rom(xenon hd stable 6.0) by pushing rom files by adb. But unfortunately recovery cant factory reset or wipe the cache. it fails. and even it fails to flash the custom rom zip file. Now i have fallen in a completely stupid situation. Please somebody help. Before flashing i was in xylon rom with twrp recovery. Before that i had cwm recovery. But I thought flashing factory image will completely wipe everything. But I cant figure out why it is happening. Please help.
I figured out something ! I have flashed CWM 6.0.23 recovery now. and it says it cant mount anything. I think there is the problem. What can i DO ppl?
Flash the stock recovery and clear cache.
Solved
Solved !!
At first I tried all types of ''mounting sd card'' process in adb. none worked.
Finally
in CWM recovery > Mounts and storage > format /data and /data/media (/sdcard) [ not to be confused with the full ''format /sdcard'' option ]
and it worked. Thanks BTW
Hi,
so i followed the steps to flash android on my nexus using ClockworkMod recovery.
I did the following steps and now I am stuck. my phone wouldn't load and I cant do anything about it
1. Bootloader was unlocked and I installed the clockworkmod recovery.
2. backed up my phone
3. I copied the ROM zip file to storage of the phone. (I cant find it through recovery now)
4. rebooted into recovery mode
5. did the nAndroid backup (which is not working now and hence my phone is spoiled)
6. performed complete wipe of the device including factory reset, cache partition and dalvik cache.
the problem is that I cant restore the nAndroid backup which i created using the recovery any more. I also tried mounting the USB storage using recovery but it still doesn't work.
I am also not able to see the phone as a Storage device in my computer any more otherwise I could load the ROM file again and try.
Please suggest any ideas or solutions.
Regards

Okay, first what rom are you flashing. And did you do a factory reset in the recovery before you flash it?
By flashing in custom recovery means you are flashing an unofficial version of KitKat, because normal you use fastboot method to flash the factory image from Google. Try using this stock rom from fireb33: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2010887
Secondly, did you flash the latest version of CWM recovery: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2198942
If you used latest recoveries and factory reset, and it still doesn't boot, then backup your nandroid and use the fastboot method to flash the factory stock image (link in my sig).
To backup your nandroid, you need to locate where it is and use "adb pull" command, try this: adb pull /data/media/clockworkmod/ C:\backup\
The MD5 mismatch means your file is not original or corrupt, it could be due to various reasons.
Nexus devices do not have microSD card so they cannot use the mount USB storage feature.
I am willing to bet most of your issues could be avoided by using TWRP recovery instead of CWM. Get it here: http://techerrata.com/browse/twrp2/mako, flash it in fastboot by "fastboot flash recovery twrp.img", it is not compatible with CWM nandroid.
If you neeed to send certain files to your phone, don't forget the sideload feature if you want to flash a zip file from your computer. Enable sideload in your recovery, and type: adb sideload *.zip

the only optionyou have is to flash a factory image through fastboot..head over here --> Click Me
i downloaded the factory image from google extracted then did the same fastboot flash as the 4.3 but switched the names to the files in the krt16o zip. it worked perfectly for me. tried using wugs toolkit and everything went to crap. i say do the same method as 4.3 but rename all the files accordingly.

Factory Resets do not remove encryption with TWRP recovery. It will reset the phone like normal, but the encryption will still remain.
I am looking to try and remove encryption entirely so I can install 4.4 and CWM Recovery. I've heard you have to flash to stock but I don't know what packages, where to get them, and which way I should flash them. Any help is appreciated.

You need to use the FORMAT DATA option, which will wipe the entire device, if you still get asked for password after that, flash factory image.
Flash the stock recovery....

I had an Encrypted HTC One that I installed TWRP Recovery. TWRP could not decrypt the phone and the phone would not factory reset. Fixed by using Fastboot to flash the stock recovery and then was able to factory reset my phone.
Fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Got the Sprint stock recovery image from viperboy (I'm too new to post links) the file name is: Sprint_One_stock_recovery.img
Search XDA with this file name you you will find it.
Too late for you I'm sure but maybe it will help some others.

I have a Canadian s7 edge and it's completely stock (no root, no TWRP). It gets to the Samsung logo and doesn't go further.
G935W8 (hero2ltebmc) firmware G935W8VLU2BQH1
Doesn't seem to boot into safety mode. I can access stock recovery and download mode.
Is there a way I can access internal storage to save data before I wipe? I looked into flashing TWRP, but with the encryption on the phone, it looks like I'll need to wipe when flashing dm-verity.

Wouldn't flashing stock ROM wipe the storage? I'm looking to save internal data (photos/videos/etc) first before doing anything else.

Indeed it will, but if you can connect your phonw to computer ypu could transfer your stuff over, but like you said its in a bootloop so most likwly it wouldnt read onto the computer.
Latest fw is causing overheating, bootloops, fast battery drain, stuck black screen with pulsing blue notification lights and buttons unresponsive. Just Google it.
Is there anyway to downgrade stock rom without tripping know.
