Hi all, I have recently experience overheating problems in my S5 and my battery last 4 hours at most, I've read that this maybe happening after Lollipop update but I've update mine like 3 weeks ago and never had this issue until yesterday. Do you know what to do?.
Regards.

Hello guys I just bought a used Note 4 problem is battery is really draining bad.
The stock official rom was even worst, that's why I installed Ditto Note 5 rom and helped my battery a little and I'm also I'm getting really low charging current.
Not to mention, my phone screen gets a little hot, I don't know if it's battery or defective unit problem. Hopefully. It's just battery problem, cause the warranty is already tripped.
Please see the attached photo.
Help? Thanks.
Update 90-48 on 2 hours...
Hey guys,
So I've owned the nexus 6p for two months now, and during the first couple of weeks the battery life was purely amazing, I would say that I was getting about 5.5-6 hours of screen on time, but then it just started to drain significantly, I had been using stock Android (6.0.1) ever since I bought the phone, rooted with a few xposed modules, but nothing more.
The battery started to drop by 2% each time,an issue that exists with quite a few users of the 6p, but most of them said it didn't affect the battery life itself, but in my case it did significantly, I started getting 4 hours of screen on time at BEST.
First of all, I tried switching to CM rom for a few weeks but that also didn't solve the issue, I flashed stock again, used the phone without root or any xposed modules for a couple of days, still, same thing, yesterday I installed the ElementalX kernel but I haven't been noticing any difference either.
So, could this be an internal hardware problem, or should I try tweaking the kernel and see if it'll make a difference?
I would start with a new battery. What you describe sounds like a faulty battery that is not holding a charge well anymore.
I m using galaxy Note 4 N910C, which i have had for 15 month.
Since the last 2 or 3 months, the battery drain increased a lot, and it goes incredibly fast from 30~20% to 0%. Sometimes it may even shut when at 20...I m thinking this is happening because of OS update to marshmallow and since then no more updates for us.
But right now my phone screen started flickering, my aplications became very laggy and unresponsive, and phone lost mobile signal (wifi still connected). I plugged the charger in and it still kept falling untill 0% and turned off.
This is the problem I m also having. Many have got the same problem. Why it actually happening. Mostly seems to be software issues. After factory reset my battery stays longer but within 2 to 3days again same problem. Because of marshmallow update. **** what the ****ing developers doing ? We need one ****in updatell to fix this issue.
I have even heard that the battery calibration in android 6.0.1 update has some sort of problem and recalibration would fix the problem for some but not for all since it didn't fixed my problem. Anyone who has some ideas about this severe issue please help. Help will be appreciated. Thank you.

OK, well it's definitely not the Marshmallow update - I've been using it on my N910C since it was released and on a recently purchased battery (direct from Samsung) I'm getting 5-6 hours SoT and battery always goes to 1% before shutting down (although I rarely let it get that low).
It may be some other software causing your problem, a hardware issue, a non-genuine battery, or you somehow need to reset the battery stats. Because it works OK for 2-3 days after a reset, it sounds like it might be some app causing an issue.
