Very quiet notification sounds on 5.0.2 - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, I noticed that on my d802 5.0.2 lollipop notification sounds are very quiet. If I choose one of the notification sounds from Zedge and I set it to notification sounds it gets more quiet than in the app. I can't hear any incoming SMS when my phone is in my pocket. Is there any fix for this ? The way without root would be the best.

Check the notification setting for volume control

Notification sounds are on the highest level.

Try flashing

[Q] Notifications not staying on silent

Anyone else have a problem where notifications keep reverting to using sounds ? I like to keep mine on vibrate so i go into Sound and turn notification volume all the way down (why they have no "silent" option for notifications, i dont know !!!). It will work for a little while and then i start hearing my notification sounds again so i look in settings, and notification sound is set back to 20% or so. Only way to fix it is to use silent mode, but that would affect phone calls as well which i dont want.

Facebook notifications volume tied in with ringer volume

For some reason, and I think it has been like this has been like this since I bought the G3 in September,
The facebook notification volume is not controlled by the notifications volume bar, but the ringer volume bar.
This is very annowing as I keep my ringer at a maximum volume and my notifications at medium volume, but the facebook notifications keep sounding really loud. Then I have to lower my ringer sound, but then my phone ringer is lower than I want as well.
Does anyone know of how I can get the facebook notification volume be controlled by the notifications navigation bar?
By the way, Im still using stock KitKat. Did not connect with the lollipop rom when it first came out.
Thanks,

Volume levels change on own?

It's weird. I'm not talking about DND. Seems as though every time I put ringer on vibrate it reverts back to sound after a while. Same with the media volume. I don't get it?!?!?
Anyone seen experience same?

you sure you're putting RINGER on vibrate and not NOTIFICATIONS? they changed the volume controls in 5.x to make it "more difficult" to actually put your ringer on vibrate.
this has happened to me too. haven't figure it out yet, though. I'll put it in vibrate and a few minutes later will hear a text msg notification. Really inconvenient while in class and meetings. Ringer and notifications are linked in volume. if you go to sound and notifications settings it only shows media, alarm, and ring volumes.

No notification sound since 7.0 update

I own an XT1643 which I recently updated to 7.0 (Build: NPJ25..93-14) and since then a rather peculiar problem has started. I receive all notifications fine but I do not get notification sound for any. I have tried nearly everything that I could think of - adjusting volume using the rocker, turning notification off and then on, setting notification individually for each app. But none worked. Another thing, when I select any notification tone from the drop down in settings>sound, again nothing plays. Selecting custom notification tone and playing from the drop down within WA plays the tone, but not from settings or any other app.
Any ideas?

Increase System Sounds, Lock/Unlock, Sending messages sound and so on.

So after the update to 8.1, the System Sounds are barely audible. Lock/Unlock, Keyboard clicks, sending texts and so on. Sounds like speaker phone, notifications and ring tone are fine though.
I've searched everywhere and can not find anything on how to increase JUST the system sounds. But during my Googling, I came across this app:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.phascinate.precisevolume.
It separates out the System Sounds from Ring Tone and Notifications, and makes the sounds I mentioned WAY louder. However, the app has to run in the background and you have to adjust the volume within the app. Anyone know what value and where it is to adjust that the app is modifying? I'm rooted running stock. Would rather stay stock and not flash a custom rom, as all roms I've tried, the data connection has not been very good for me.
Thanks!
