Hi to all last week i send my wife zenfone 550ml for repair to asus after opening a rma and everything . After I contacted asus customer service, and gave me the shipping address. It was sent to asus repair in the usa.
After a few days an email was sent charging 398.94. This is a 200 dlls phone i have send an email asking why i am been charge no response . This phone was bought on may.
What's wrong whit the phone. First it wasn't drop wet or anything is flawless it wasnt rooted nothing. It suddenly the soft keys stop working and the touch was all mess up couldn't select anything and was left alone it started to open and close apps and typing randomly.
I also reset the phone though the recovery menu no fix.
So this is my story, hope to have a happy ending because i have a 551ml and have bought 6 others for friends.
Thanks to all

your headset is down, connect htc to repair
what u mean by my headset is down? and mind telling me how to connect my htc to repair?
I have had the same problem, I starts on the moment i used my heatset. You can try to do an hard reset. Use the last ROM.
When the problem stays you can contact HTC to send your mobile. They will repair it. It can be an mechanic problem
Same Problem
I have the exact same problem. It just happened suddenly. Even after connecting the headset. Can anyone help?
Call HTC servicecentre,
They will arrange to send the Topaz to an repair service centre. It is garanty matter.
I did the same an got my phone repaird back.
When I plugged in my headset, i can hear, and the lights around that speaker part is not blinking anymore
Sheldon, did you install any tweaks prior to the failure?
Nope, and i did a hard reset already.
I guess I'll have to send it to the service center tomorrow. Tried everything from hard reset to re-flashing ROMS. To registry tweaks. Nothing works.
Hi guys, today my phone started with the same problem. I live in Brazil and bought it on the US, so I pretty much doubt HTC will give me any assitance here.
I have already tried hard-reset and it still doesn´t work. If anyone has any ideas I would be really grateful.
OK guys, I brought it in to HTC's Vietnamese's service center for repair. My phone was bought in Singapore. It seems like a common problem for Topaz as they acknowledge the problem without further ado.
Repair will void my warrantty in Singapore and will cost me Around US$12 and take less than a day.

It is a shame to find such "common problem" on a device like this... Did they inform you what is the problem?
I bought mine in Singapore too, as I live in Singapore. I'm sending to the service center tomorrow, i'll update you guys tomorrow.
Repaired! All in a days work. Its working fine now.
Ckth, it delivered to you in one day!? Where you from btw?
I'm from Singapore but work and live in Saigon. My TD2 was bought abt 2wks ago from M1.
Did they call you before they deliver you? You sent ur TD2 to HTC service center @ keppel tower near harbourfront too?
Nope, I am currently in Saigon. And there is a HTC care here. It was actually repaired within the day.
Same problem here. I bought mine in HK, and suddenly one day the earpiece stopped working. I contact HTC greece but still no answer if they accept to repair or not.
Hi!
I was sitting down and cleaning my display with a fiberclouth that was in the case with the screenprotector. I was not using any hard preassure or anything.
When I was finish cleaning the touch function don`t work anymore! It does not respond to any touch, but hardware keys work perfect.
I have tryed hard reset also.
The mobile works great when I am using it trough MyMobiler with my computer.
Anybody who has experience somthing simular?
Hope the I can return it. It is under 2 months old!
Well contact HTC directly, just say your Touch screen doesn't response anymore and they should help you! I hope all goes well GL.
I had the same problem. I contacted HTC and they gave me the address of the local service center. The techician replaced the screen and the repair cost was covered by the warranty.

Ok!
I have sent my device to my local service center now!
Hope they will fix it fast! How long time did you wait, and do you know what exactly they fixed?
I waited 3 days. They replaced 3 parts: SUB-ASSY, LCM, LEO.
I asked them what those parts are and they said it's complete LCD with touch panel.
Hey, yesterday i got the same problem.
Seems to be that there is an hardware-error?
I send my phone back today to get a new one, or, to get the repaired one. (last would be nice because i forgot to backup my contacts )

Sorry to tell you this, but even if it is the same phone, they're 99% sure to do a factory reset before sending it back.
Finally I got my phone back!
They have replaced the LCD, touchpanel and some small parts.
It took a while, but I bought the Nexus one after I sent my HD2 in. Funny to test it, but when I recived my HD2 yesterday, I remembered why this is my primary phone! =)
I just love the LEO!!!!
Let`s hope that this problem I and a couple of others have had is not a common hardwear problem!

Hi Guys,
Have been looking around all ressources about MS2 and I've found only one video on youtube showing the same problem.
My screen has become unresponsive since 2 days, I can't select or tape anything it does it himself
The phone became crazy : zooming in and out very rapidly, taping text, selecting text, sometimes it's even impossible to lock out the screen. I can't use it anymore.
Of course I've been doing the recovery process twice and nothing has changed !!!
Any help in this matter would be much appreciated as I can't send it to the repair shop (it's a second hand and I don't own the original invoice).
Many thanks in advance
Try a different firmware first.
If that doesn't work...
You should get a replacement or at lease get it repaired.
I had the same problem when I bought it. I just flashed it and installed a retail firmware and it stopped since then.
Hi
There are 2 common problems that can cause this behavior. It's either a charger problem (if you are using a generic one: don't). If this is happening even when it's not charging, it's a digitizer problem. You should look into warranty cervice.

Hi,
I've flashed a French rom I've found on the forum and since the problem is less frequent. I will pay attention also on the charger I've plugged. Thanks to all of you
So I sent my tab to asus because it went into apx mode and would not come out. I've been reading asus unlock tools send asus servers info about the fact that a device was just unlocked including serial number. I'm wondering if they will know as my tab was completely dead. Also I sent it in a week ago and there online rma tracker has not updated at all. Thanks how long do repairs usually take regarding the texas repair center and nexus 7?

I had my original TF101 serviced by this facility 3 times. The first time (it couldnot power on) I had a customed ROM with OC settings. I think they just simply hooked it up to restore a factory image then test to determine what the issues were. All three times, it came back with the original factory ROM. I havenot heard anyone got rejected due to customed ROM was found onboard.
(it had a corrupted flash memory and Texas kept saying no-problem-found --> I had to call Asus/San Jose to get the mainboard replaced --> it's been working beautifully since)
It normally came back very fast (to CA) within a week (maybe that's why they couldnot find the issue). The 3rd RMA took two weeks since I told them I wouldnot accept it without a new mainboard or a different unit.
Well it appears my nexus 4 has died mysteriously. About a month ago battery life went to **** and it started rebooting at random intervals. Tried a factory reset with no improvement. As of 2 weeks ago my phone would only operate for about 1 1/2h on a charge, and would often reboot whenever I opened an app or something. I'm away visiting family right now so I've just left it on my charger at almost all times.
Today when trying to answer a text my phone rebooted and now it won't go past the boot screen, plugged in or not. Opening fastboot works, but when I open recovery mode from here it show a picture of the android with a caution symbol over him. I took my case off to swap the SIM into my old Nexus S, and on the bottom right corner the bezel has popped out.
Is my phone done? I broke my screen in Feb and had to send it to a LG authorized repair shop, so is my phone even under warranty? Would me personally swapping the battery be of any benefit?
Thanks for your advice.
Yes it still should be under warranty.
I did the same thing. I broke the back of my nexus and had to send it to the official LG repair facility in TX for out of warranty repair.
2 weeks later I had issues with the proximity sensor not always working. Called google and set it up for a in warranty replacement.
Google shipped me a new nexus and put a hold on my credit card. You have to send your broken device back within 21 days so you wont get charged.
The adress Google had me send my broken in warranty phone to. Was the same adress I sent the phone to originally for the out of warranty repair fix. Since LG did the repair of the screen I'm sure they stand by there own work.
Just make sure you tell google you already had it fixed, and that you used the official LG repair facility in TX.
