It's not just the radio that provides LTE. The N4 is actually missing LTE hardware.

This horse has been beat to death. The hardware is only there for AWS band 4, which AT&T has in about 2 cities. TMo bought the remaining AWS spectrum from AT&T and is rolling out LTE on it in some markets.

I have one, but I cant connect it to Verizon. Does this phone is working in Verizon CDMA network ?? If so how can I achieve this ?? Phone also missing the IMS (MEID Verizon version). Please help.
VZW generally will only activate a phone they sold you one branded with VERIZON.

Everybody keep saying it, but why ??
When I have purchased phone, I saw the MHz its supporting, which is Verizon range from 800 to 1900.
PS Anybody knows the programming menu code for HTC ONE ?
The developer version is a gsm device and Verizon operates a CDMA network. They are incompatible and the phone will not work.

Its not a cdma phone. Wcdma is NOT the same as cdma. Its a different technology. And even if it were, it ISN'T, Verizon won't activate non Verizon phones on their network. Way to spend some good money on something without knowing how it works....

Better put your One up for sale, while it's still hot. Or, think about changing your wireless provider.

Just switch to t-mobile, it's not worth paying what verizon is charging you. Then you can even keep your HTC One.

Its not a troll, I'm not so smart in this type of technology. In my mind it was very simple WCDMA is Docomo, which goes way ahead of regular CDMA, and Qualcomm made an support from WCDMA to CDMA2000, thats why I cant understand why Verizon CDMA don't want to support it.

Their service, imo, is not worth their prices. T-Mobile is catching up, and catching up fast. Unlimited everything for $70, no throttles, caps, nothing, and LTE is some areas already.

I don't Have 4G or UMTS-3 on HTC One 64GB Developer Edition in the city of Jacksonville Florida on T-Mobile Network. All I see is EDGE. Anyone from JAX having the same issues.
Unless Jacksonville is a reframed network you should expect edge speeds, as the developer edition is missing the 1700 AWS band for T-Mobiles HSPA+ (4G)

How can I fix it?
Thanks

Not much you can do unfortunately, you will have to wait for reframing to finish in your area. If the internet speed is important to you than your best bet is to return the device while you still can and opt for the T-Mobile version.

UNLESS... Someone posts the t-mobile radios and we can test to see if it woks on the dev edition phones. At that point all tmobile frequencies will work if successful
btw, no need for s-off. Please see http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2245615
BUT! we need a Tmobile Radio to flash it with before we can use the thread method above!
Last night i was at the movies with my girl that has a tmobile S4
And i always dont get signal with my nexus 4 at this theater but she had great signal and internet average was 5mbs
Is ther a way to flash that radio?

Are you on T-Mobile also? My wife's HTC One X also does better signal wise than my N4 in certain areas. I assume it is because her phone is a LTE phone and mine is not. We are with AT&T, and being on the LTE network vs HSPA is like night and day.

Theoretically speaking, the nexus 4 is a unofficial lte device and it does work on t mobile assuming that it's in the users area. He needs to check the lte thread for more information on how to use it on 4.2.2

No, you are wrong about official, which is why it is disabled by default. I know it will work in limited areas, but it doesn't have the FCC approval to be sold as an LTE phone. Officially it is not a LTE phone, even though it has some hidden limited capability.

No, you`re wrong! N4 fully supports LTE on band 4- T-mobile USA, Canadian carriers! There are people that have been using it for a while! It`s not FCC approved -YES, but it works as any other LTE phone!

"Can be made to work with LTE" is a very very different thing from "fully supports LTE".
Sent from my Nexus 4
ahandlen003 said:
Not to be redundant to other posts but in reality its not different. "fully supports" can be classified as working on networks that have lte which the nexus 4 does. Just because we have to change a few settings doesnt mean it doesnt fully support lte. I get full 4g everywhere i live. I consider that to be fully supportive.

I guess that your definition of "fully supported" is very different to mine.
My definition wouldn't include the possibility of having to stick to old radios/ROMs to make a feature work, and it would include the possibility of ensuring Google help if there was a problem with that feature.

hello everyone, I switched carrier to T-mobile, want to use my Z force from Verizon with my new T-mobile sim, the phone is paid off. what's the best way to get it unlocked?
Build a big bon fire in your backyard. Draw a giant red "V" on your body. Then dance around the fire while chanting. "Release me Big Red. Release me Big Red". Do this till you pass out. When you wake up your phone will work with any network...
Or you could skip all that and just put your TMO sim in the phone since it's already sim unlocked.

You're familiar with LTE bands, correct?
Z Force supports bands 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, and 13.
T-Mobile supports bands 2, 4, 12.
So long as you are in a T-Mo "refrequencied" area that supports LTE over band 2 (I think), you're fine.
Can this device be used on the sprint Network?
