[Q] Stuck at boot logo (LG)

I'm stucking at booting logo and can't connect my phone to pc.
I tried to install drivers from LG from http www lg com/uk/support/product/support-product-profile-mobile-redux.jsp?customerModelCode=GT540&initialTab=documents but my computer still can't recognize the phone.
I tried to go to device manager but can't find modems to disable LG Modem Driver
I tried LGMobile update through customer support -> recovery phone -> IMEI # but it's not working
I tried to use kdz to flash on 3 mode: CS, DIAG, EMERGENCY and still get this message:

I've been searching around all night but can't find a solution
Pretty much I can't do anything to make pc recognize the phone...
I would appreciate any help to fix this phone. LG GT540 Optimus
By the way, I used the usb port on the back of my computer...

try to flash in DOWNLOAD MODE. when turning on phone click power and volume down maybe then computer find phone.

The phone is recognized in download mode. However KDZ says phone not found?

check in windows hardware manager if you have in modems your phone turn the modem off and then try flash via kdz

Indeed, I tried to connect the phone on download mode but still cant flash anything because kdz showed phone not founded.

I cant flash in download mode, and i cant find modems in device manager. Im pretty sure i have all the drivers, even tried to uninstall/reinstall reset computer...

ahhh i no have more idea :/ i had too that problem, only first logo lg and nothing more but i flashed in download mode without problems. Good luck

yes this problem is not new many others had this problem either they some how fix it or its lg service center...

4me it was a driver problem ...
drivers in download above should be good versions
if you are using win7 go to device-manager select everything like lg... or android... and uninstall with deleting drivers
uninstall lg suite, lg drivers, you can also clean up windows i.e. with glary utils, reboot, install drivers from above, connect phone AFTER installing all the driver-packages.
you can also try another usb-port
edit: maybe also a Security-Kit is blocking like Comodo Internet Security because it uses a sandbox for execution of unknown software.

Sadly I still get the same message in kdz with the driver prwnd (thanks for trying).
- I made sure that I uninstall everything related to lg and its driver
- Installed new driver, restarted.
- Connect the phone on download mode (volume down + plug in usb), the usb port is from the back of my comp, directly to mobo.
- Still no hope
I believe I read somewhere state that, if the phone can enter download mode, it's not fully bricked and I hope I can fix this phone for my friend...
Any help would be appreciated.

Do you have access to fastboot or recovery??? POWER + HOME or POWER + CAMERA BUTTON ????
And one more thing which os do you use??? WIN 7 X86 or X64 or WIN XP???

Unbrick lg optimus l3 using kdz updater

To Anyone who gets problem to unbrick your LG Optimus L3 e400
It Really works for me.
How to instal LG Firmware using KDZ Updater
1. Download and Install USB driver for Lg L3 e400 from LG website or here
2.Download and install MSXML 4.0 SP3. here.
3.Download KDZ Updater here then extract it to your computer.
4. Download KDZ file according to your country or any compatible KDZ file. Download here
How to use KDZ:
1. Detach your external SD from your phone.
2. Remove your phone battery and wait for a few seconds.
3. Put your battery back to the phone.
4. Press volume - and + (or just in the middle of volume button) and power button at the same time.
5. wait till the phone screen turns to yellow (emergency mode) then release all the buttons.
6. Connect your phone to PC by using USB cable (your LG cable).
7. Stop or disable your antivirus or antimalware.
8. Run KDZ Updater as administrator.
9. Choose the following options in KDZ Updater:
Type: 3GQCT
Phone Mode: DIAG
and browse KDZ file is the one you downloaded, browse where you put this file and then select.
9. Click on “Launch Software Update”
10. If everything goes well, you will see “Finished” on KDZ Updater screen. Your phone will restart itself. You'll see the opening screen.
If something wrong happen it's usually because of the wrong download of KDZ file, broken KDZ Updater, or your antivirus.
I hope this could unbrik your LG L3 phone.
How to Root it.
After doing all the above now you can root your device again with this. Extract the file you just downloaded to your root of your computer.
Connect your device to the computer, then double click run.bat and wait till the device restart.
Now your device is rooted again
How to get CWM
Download from Google Play Rom Manager and download your CWM with this apk while online.

Yes, You do need to root and install cwm again.

Yes. You do need to root and reinstall cwm because it's very safe.

I have 4.0.4 ICS (cm9) on my LG L3 (e400), I tried to flash to stock since official 4.4 (kitkat) is coming soon but it does nothing, just reboots normally after flashing (no errors reported with kdz flasher) with my wallpaper and everything, and it says that my battery is charging but it's not connected to charger or computer. Any ideas?

I did everything from the guide, step by step, and I'm stuck on this error: Upgrade Error: Wparam: 100 LParam :1010
I especially looked ower firmware, and I'm positive that I downloaded the right one.
I tried several times, and every time I get this error. Also, phone now boots to Emergency mode, and can't boot to something else.
Don't know what to do? Anyone help?

Just reinstall driver, reboot pc after instalation and run kdz as admin.

You can only enter emergency mode because you haven't finished installing_KDZ. If I were you I would try download and install another KDZ file.
It will only work when you get the right KDZ file for your device. Don't worry to try another KDZ file.
Try another KDZ updater,
Unable antivirus and firewall.
Keep on trying. I hope these will unbricked your phone.

I can't turn it off completely without removing the battery. When I place back the battery it turns on immediately, so I don't have time to hold button combo..... :/

Download Quick Boot Reboot from play store. Run it select recovery then it should hard reset your device.

After removing battery wait about 15 seconds and put it back. If it still fails, remove battery and wait for longer time.
Just keep on trying.

please help me... why after i press start upgrade at kdz updater. it says phone was not found even says it Finnish and nothing happen next? either i am connected to pc and already have needed drivers? please can you help me. i installed cyanoid14 standard and my phone goes boot loop like blinking white background infinitely

Have you tried entering into CWM?
If so, then you should do factory reset, wipe cache, and go to advance then wipe dalvik cache then restart your phone.

Tried that, tried flashing another roms, tried KDZ, tried multiple stock roms....nothing works.... It says it's charging without cable being connected.

stuck with cm9
For those you stuck and cannot flash back to stock ROM. enter to CWM, and leave it there. Connect to PC and flash with EMERGENCY mode (not DIAG)

Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but when I try click on the link for the kdz I'm looking for it takes me to a tny.cz page and nothing else happens.
What am I missing?

LG G2 D802 Bricked

Hi All,
I had TWRP recovery on this LG D802. Because download mode wasn't working i flashed a stock recovery. Since that moment i don't have:
- Recovery mode
- Download mode
- Fastboot mode
The phone is in a boot loop though. It flashes the LG logo on and off. The phone isn't being detected by the computer.
I hope someone can help me.

This is not to dampen your spirit but if it is not detected by computer then it is very hard to get it back to life. But I guess it is not detecting by computer because it is not fully loading(at least some of the necessary files loading). If you aren't able to get into download mode or fastboot mode, I guess you may try the method explained in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2582142
Hope your device get back to normal following that thread, you need Ubuntu for that method to try, but that's(installing ubuntu) not a difficult.

Then I suggest you to completely switch off the phone(I hope you already done that) & leave it for some time and then try it after some time. Did you use the proper stock recovery when going from TWRP to stock recovery(I mean the recovery that is intended for your phone model)?. What I think is that as long as it is seeing some sort of life(it is going as far as LG Logo), there is a hope that it can be recovered. I think some thing is messed up in recovery or boot or one of those partitions that are checked during the boot.

You need to first download the kdz and lg flash utility with drivers.
Install drivers
The factory reset deleting system, cache, internal sd.
Then shutdown your g2.
Start to downloaded mode connecting your g2
Flash kdz & voila... Done
I too bricked my phone before. My flashing stuck at 49%. Recovered using above method, all is well now
This works 1000%. I bet on it. Just remember to wipe the phone completely before flashing. You will return to stock with unrooted status in download mode. U will have your warranty back too

ok stop copy pasting same thing on different places if you would have read you would have noticed in the beginning he can't eneter download mode

On which system did you try it?
Maybe try Windows,Mac and something like Ubuntu.

when you restart the phone gave me the black screen.

What phone model do you have? Sounds like you might have to boot into download mode and use the LG tool to go back to stock completely.

I have a d802
the phone is stuck on the lg logo.
As per the procedure would have to start the recovery but will not start.
Not part of the download mode.
I can get into factory reset but the pc does not recognize.
It seems to me a serious case. The guarantee how it behaves in these cases?

Dont you have recovery to flash new rom via ADB?

Try with ubuntu once again it will work out

ubuntu does not recognize the phone more.
The recovery is the original one.

Make sure the ports on the pc are set to 41. Do you have the drivers in the pc as well?

d802 Post unbricking problems

Hi guys.
Recently I managed to brick and then succesfully unbrick my LG g2 d802 using SRK tool. After that the phone wasn't recognized by PC anymore. Nevertheless, I bricked it once more by mistake and I managed to unbrick it using SRK tool. What was weird was that using the tool I could write the .img files to the corresponding partitions, but after I unbrick the phone, install ANY ROM whatsoever, the phone isn't recognized by PC anymore.
In device manager I can see LGE Modem and LGE Port, but no Phone Drive in My Computer. Can't flash the stock anymore because of that, and I'd really want to go back to stock...
Another issue I'm facing is with the lockscreen on any ROMs based on Stock, every time I restart the phone the lockscreen resets to NONE.
With any custom ROM installed the Virtual Navigation Keys are not shown until I edit the build.prop
Not to mention the LEDs are either not working or staying on any time I unlock the screen,
Anyone with the same problems here?

try another computer to see if phone its recognized.. why not go back to stock using TOT method.

Thank you for your reply.
It was impossible for me to go back to stock with TOT method, but yesterday I fixed the phone after 6 months.
For a weird reason the download mode was broken, LG Flash TOOL was always giving an error. After I flashed SRK's Stock flashable ROM the download mode started to work again (might be a coincidence).
I managed to install the latest KDZ available for d802 (with CSE Flash, from LG Flash TOOL) and finally got the phone fully working, stock version, all functionality is back.
