[Q]Dead phone after flashing

So, my friend gave me his LG GT540 to flash it with a new ROM but I kinda messed it up.
I followed the instructions from here:

After flashing 2.3.7. with 'fastboot installer' the phone won't turn on anymore! I'm holding the power button but I just feel a little vibration and nothing happens.
What should I do?

I somehow managed to put the phone in download mode but KDZ Upgrader always stucks on the same point while flashing (20:41:54 : Smart : wParam = 205, lParam = 215).
Anyone?

Yes, I have.
Earlier today I managed to upgrade from 1.6 to 2.1 with KDZ. After that I flashed 2.3 with fastboot installer and after that the phone is dead.
Now I'm trying to flash it again to 2.1 with KDZ but it always stucks on that same point.

Try using the original, non English version. This happened to me until I did that!

Do you have fastboot mode(blackscreen withback light) when you hold power and camera buttons on startup?

my friend had the same problem
he solved using fastboot on a pc with windows XP (he was on win7)

Got that problem, try differents KDZ, in cs_emergency and other computer!

No, I can only get in the download mode with VOL DOWN + POWER, but to acomplish that I need to plug my phone several times in and out of my PC and at some point it finally says 'download mode' on my phone.

used it to flash my brothers phone from 1.6 no probs

ok first what operative system you have. Second try to find another computer to do the process again if after all this doesn't work:
* i assume you have Windows, download Ccleaner if you already don't have it to clean your computer.
*If your machine has more USB slots try them.
*Disable Internet
*Disable antivirus-Firewall (some can give problem, puts restrictions. I use avira and first time it blocked the KDZ application i had to re-install deactivate Avira antivirus and firewall to be able to flash.
*If you are going to flash with KDZ now do it under CS_emergency
So basically you have to clean your computer , install from scratch even the phone drivers(Mines works fine in Windows7 x32 and x64 bits), try with other USB slot (better the ones in the back not front in desktop PC).
Report back
*Dont use fastboot installer do it the old way then
*Don't upgrade directly to 2.3 do it step by step 2.1 to 2.2 then 2.2 to 2.3

I was on WinXP 32-bit and now switched to my laptop with Win7 64-bit.
Now I have a problem with drivers. When plugging in, windows is trying to install drivers for 3 devices:
-LGE Android Platform Composite Device - SUCCESFULLY
- 2 unknown devices - just says 'installing drivers' but no succes
I have installed all drives that were in that .zip just like on the first PC but this isn't working here.
I tried to flash anyway with KDZ, but it says that 'phone was not found' and after that just 'finished'.

i flash mine with win7 64bit no probs for drivers i just keep trying to let it update from windows update and they work

OK, I somehow managed to get the KDZ starting the software update on my laptop but just like on my PC earlier it stucks on the exaxt same line:
14:08:46: Smart :wParam= 205; iParam = 215
After that I hear the 'USB-plugging-in/out'- sound while windows is starting again searching for some drivers.
Since this is the same problem just like on the other PC i suppose something is seriously messed up with the phone and I should just bring it to the repair center.

Unbrick lg optimus l3 using kdz updater

To Anyone who gets problem to unbrick your LG Optimus L3 e400
It Really works for me.
How to instal LG Firmware using KDZ Updater
1. Download and Install USB driver for Lg L3 e400 from LG website or here
2.Download and install MSXML 4.0 SP3. here.
3.Download KDZ Updater here then extract it to your computer.
4. Download KDZ file according to your country or any compatible KDZ file. Download here
How to use KDZ:
1. Detach your external SD from your phone.
2. Remove your phone battery and wait for a few seconds.
3. Put your battery back to the phone.
4. Press volume - and + (or just in the middle of volume button) and power button at the same time.
5. wait till the phone screen turns to yellow (emergency mode) then release all the buttons.
6. Connect your phone to PC by using USB cable (your LG cable).
7. Stop or disable your antivirus or antimalware.
8. Run KDZ Updater as administrator.
9. Choose the following options in KDZ Updater:
Type: 3GQCT
Phone Mode: DIAG
and browse KDZ file is the one you downloaded, browse where you put this file and then select.
9. Click on “Launch Software Update”
10. If everything goes well, you will see “Finished” on KDZ Updater screen. Your phone will restart itself. You'll see the opening screen.
If something wrong happen it's usually because of the wrong download of KDZ file, broken KDZ Updater, or your antivirus.
I hope this could unbrik your LG L3 phone.
How to Root it.
After doing all the above now you can root your device again with this. Extract the file you just downloaded to your root of your computer.
Connect your device to the computer, then double click run.bat and wait till the device restart.
Now your device is rooted again
How to get CWM
Download from Google Play Rom Manager and download your CWM with this apk while online.

Yes, You do need to root and install cwm again.

Yes. You do need to root and reinstall cwm because it's very safe.

I have 4.0.4 ICS (cm9) on my LG L3 (e400), I tried to flash to stock since official 4.4 (kitkat) is coming soon but it does nothing, just reboots normally after flashing (no errors reported with kdz flasher) with my wallpaper and everything, and it says that my battery is charging but it's not connected to charger or computer. Any ideas?

I did everything from the guide, step by step, and I'm stuck on this error: Upgrade Error: Wparam: 100 LParam :1010
I especially looked ower firmware, and I'm positive that I downloaded the right one.
I tried several times, and every time I get this error. Also, phone now boots to Emergency mode, and can't boot to something else.
Don't know what to do? Anyone help?

Just reinstall driver, reboot pc after instalation and run kdz as admin.

You can only enter emergency mode because you haven't finished installing_KDZ. If I were you I would try download and install another KDZ file.
It will only work when you get the right KDZ file for your device. Don't worry to try another KDZ file.
Try another KDZ updater,
Unable antivirus and firewall.
Keep on trying. I hope these will unbricked your phone.

I can't turn it off completely without removing the battery. When I place back the battery it turns on immediately, so I don't have time to hold button combo..... :/

Download Quick Boot Reboot from play store. Run it select recovery then it should hard reset your device.

After removing battery wait about 15 seconds and put it back. If it still fails, remove battery and wait for longer time.
Just keep on trying.

please help me... why after i press start upgrade at kdz updater. it says phone was not found even says it Finnish and nothing happen next? either i am connected to pc and already have needed drivers? please can you help me. i installed cyanoid14 standard and my phone goes boot loop like blinking white background infinitely

Have you tried entering into CWM?
If so, then you should do factory reset, wipe cache, and go to advance then wipe dalvik cache then restart your phone.

Tried that, tried flashing another roms, tried KDZ, tried multiple stock roms....nothing works.... It says it's charging without cable being connected.

stuck with cm9
For those you stuck and cannot flash back to stock ROM. enter to CWM, and leave it there. Connect to PC and flash with EMERGENCY mode (not DIAG)

Works perfectly, tested in Windows 8

Unable to download kdz
Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but when I try click on the link for the kdz I'm looking for it takes me to a tny.cz page and nothing else happens.
What am I missing?

[Q] Optimus L3 Black screen only after a flashing. Could someone help please?!

I have a problem with my lg e400.
i did put cm 9 onto it but had no network.
so i flashed v10 baseband on it trought clockwork recovery on the phone and also i flashed a screen-charger mass bug fix after .
since the restart i cant start the phone.
if i start the phone normaly only the touch buttons light flash up and have black screen but vibrates once.
if i connect th phone to pc it only recognises if i put the phone to download mode
with hold volume button down with no battery.
i have searched trough the forum so i tried kdz,adb,cmrecovery,r&d tool,lg updater,flasher,pc suit to flash back or forward with different kdz files but couldnt get succes. allways have wparam lparam error codes. there was one kdz P880 V20A_00.kdz it didnt get an error message but nothing happend till this morning as i left it ongoing trough last night. or if i tried with web update it stops at 4% does not matter how i set the pc.
i have tried to mount system files from the sd card way but did not reach any succes as it has no screen and only can get into download mode.
Could someone help me with it please? it seems i knocked out my phone :/

When using kdz right click the computer button on your pc, go to properties go advanced find modem and disable LG mobile modem, restart your pc.
Then if using windows start windows enabler, make sure you installed every thing correctly.
And try every thing agen, i hope i helped a bit.

Thats realy strange, kdz is the only way you can get it back, did you try a difrent version of kdz?
I dont think your phone is hard bricked, cus you can still enter download mode, trie it with a difrent kdz version, a newer or older one.
There not all the same.

yes you can get a version back, any time with kdz, and that is the step by step guide. I used kdz on my L7 today and on my L5 you can go back to 4.0.3 any time. And you can install CM11 4.4.4 from 4.0.3 and 4.1.2 just flash recovery.
Root phone download L7cwm zip. Unzip in c drive on pc. On phone go to settings developer options, enable usb debbuging.
connect phone to pc with usb.
Go to your l7cwm file on pc c drive.
Double click bootloader bat.
On phone go allow. Phone will reboot when the phone turns on click on recovery bat phone will reboot. When your phone turns on recovery will be installed.

After that you need to find v10 frameware for your phone and download it.
On your pc open device manager, find modem and disable LG mobile modem. Restart your pc.
Take battery out of your phone hold volume up and connect your phone with usb to pc. On your phone you will see a yellow screen saying emergency mode.

D8003 Help I thing I'm bricked

Help please this is what happened I am new to this !! So I have a lg g2 d8003 in Canada it was on 4.4.2 Kk I rooted the phone auto rec v2 twrp recovery installed and flashed the cloudy 3.3 rom.
I was having service issues on cloudy so i wanted to flash back my restore I made with twrp, before I flashed my restore I flashed ( KK_d8003_bootloader.zip) ?? and then flashed my restore
Now me phone just restarts to the Lg logo And says in white (890 source booting error) (940 cause boot certification verify)
Then the screen turns black (The phone is still on)
Next I try to boot into recovery and that does not work it boots into Factory Reset
(If I go though the steps it does not bring me to twrp power bottom three times)
Next I try to boot into download mode and I can boot into download mode THE PHONE SAYS firmware update and and the bottom it says USER B26 and in red it says ROOTED
But on my PC Windows XP Device Manager it says LGE AndroidNet USB Serial Port (COM4)
In with ! In yellow
The phone does not read with Lg flash tool it just crashes the program
LgMonile Support Tool reads my phone it seems and tells me the County Setting: United States, Software Version: D803R20F
Your device has the latest software available from LG Mobile Support Tool
It will not let me install any USB Drivers My phone is not listed under the USB INSTALL
(BEFORE THIS BRICK HAPPENED I HAD FULL USE OFF MY PHONE VIA USB ON MY WINDOWS XP PC
I AM STUCK I DONT NO WHAT TO DO NOW IF SOMEONE CAN PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO HELP ME

Are you using the kdz or tot? If one fails use the other and see if it works. For the Tot method go by on device manager and change the port from 4 to 41 otherwise it will not detect your device
