The recall applies only to tablets with a certain battery type. Once you’ve verified that you’re running the latest software, identify your unit’s battery type by following these instructions:
From the Home screen in Android, select the Apps icon

Select Status
Under the “Battery” category, you’ll see Y01 or B01
If B01, your unit is NOT affected by this recall
If Y01, your unit needs to be replaced. Please select Y01 to launch the recall application on the device

damn i have this one, but i modified and it has been rooted. still they make recall?
does anyone know of a way to re enable the original device after the replacement has been activated?
I was wondering the same thing. I wonder if we could shut it down and load a different rom on it before it's deactivated! Some kind of shutdown, trick of some sort would be nice. After the last update it's running perfect! Figures...
We'll know soon enough - I flashed stock, went through the recall procedure and immediately wiped the tablet and installed blisspop back.
I flashed stock did the recall thing and flashed CM12 again. So you don't think we are going to be required to mail the old one back? I have a hard time believing they are going to let us keep both. ¯\_ಠ_ಠ_/¯

If you look the choice to "discard" the tablet is also on there. Since you get the new one before they get the old one.

The firstbthing i did was flash my old one with a older update before the recall

I turned it on and it was just ok so guys we have two tablets
This on is was better the screen is better.
Beter colors, thats a nice suprise
I think this is a new version, i hope that battery life also inproved
I'll post a picture than you can see for you self
My camera isnt very good because i rushed into it and erased my TA partion
Now i dont have my DRM keys anymore on my xperia z ultra c6833
So i hope it will show
I hope you will get your replacement soon, to all of you guys
I' m from holland, and the package came with ups

Hey i downloaded the app
And found the upload button
When i pick a photo it shows and only one button comes up and thats decline its actualy annuleren thats dutch for decline.
Does somebody have tips
The picture isnt that good.
I liked the shield tablet but i noticed that when i was in setting it supose to be white in android L but it was kina yellowish, now its way better.
And it looks good how it supose to be
Now i have to transfer all my files again

I do have one question, i rooted my old one
But when i heard some one i know saying that the tablets are no good and can actualy catch fire
In disbelieve i went online and i learned that i have to update my device, i tried to do so
But every time it installs it just rebooted.
When i just had it i emmidiately rooted and unlocked the bootloader flashed cwm on it.
So i had to recover it to stock to do the update with tje battery thing
So my question is should i root the device?
Would you do it?

You must flash HardSPL first, thanks Olipro.
After unzipping the file you have downloaded, you must run the ROMUpdateUtility.exe and follow the instructions.
The ROM is very fast and stable with the NetCF & SQL Mobile 3.5, 32mb Pagepool, some registry tweaks to increase performance (Font size cache 32768, File system cache set 4000k, FileSystem filter cache 2000), disable the security warning when installing non-certified application and a cleaned up 3G ICON!! It's noticeable faster!!
Just Flashed, I must admit it's really fast. Installing some cabs now (like HTC Home, etc.)

I have just had a meeting cancelled so I will try to work on a tweaked full version (like the other language versions) and post it this evening.
Is it possible to upload the original Dutch ROM also?
I have a dumped version made from the RAW files posted on the other Dutch thread but I don´t have the original. I can post a rebuilt dumped ROM if you want?
Well the only reason why i need this dump is that i didnt dumped my own rom. In case of a defect i must have an original ROM so i could return the device. So for now, i don't need it, but i am searching for it as a sort of backup.
Same situation here Yzord...I'll be more than happy with a full dutch ROM just in case something happens with my device and I'll have to claim the factory guarantee.

I built MoNotes for personal use because of a few reason:
1. Obviously needed a note program
2. Wanted something simple and small
3. All the note programs i found were pretty ugly
I decided to share it with everyone and hope that other people find it useful. MoNotes was designed for my 6700 titan so I am sorry if it doesnt work on yours. This is my first program as I am new to programming(especially mobile) but I hope you like it.
REQUIREMENTS:

Must drop MoNotes folder on storage card root.
Features:
----------
1.create new notes
2.all notes are autosaved to a txt file in MoNotes folder
3.Open previous notes.
4. Clear list, Delete list and delete item
5. If you start on list and want to continue later then just hit ok. If you want to shut down then File > Exit
Functions:

After note is created type into textbox then click add
to delete an item select the item then click right soft key then delete item
Please let me know what you think(as long as its not too negative) and if you find any bugs or problems. Since this is a personnel app I dont plan on bug fixing to much but might add/fix a few things..Thanks

Only thing I might consider adding is either a hold down menu with edit in there or add it to one of the soft key menus, Other than that it's pretty cool

The "MoNotes" folder must be in the "\Storage Card" directory.

I could be mistaken, but with the limitation on where the file can be run from, it may only work on english devices.

Battery Saver Recovery Method
-1 - Leave unload his phone until they turn off by itself
-2 - Try on again to drain the battery completely
-3 - Load 100 percent phone turned off and wait about 45 minutes
-4 - Disconnect the USB cable from the charger and remove the battery, wait about 5 minutes (the time for capacitors to discharge), and then reinsert the battery and reconnect the USB cable of the charger (do not turn on the phone)
-5 - Wait for the load to 100 percent more than 20 minutes
-6 - Reboot into recovery (cwm 5.0.2.6)
-7 - Connected or not it does not matter (as in recovery mode, the phone will not load) in order to:
- Avanced / wipe battery stats.. (Don't wipe dalvik cache..)
- Back
- Wipe partition cache (and especially not wipe factory reset!)
-8 - Restart the phone and start battery control
a- Parameter: input the mAh capacity written on the back of your battery
b- Press the icon below "Calibrate the battery"
c- Discharge completely by itself (without shutdown or restart or load it will not be as it once fausserai the ratio between 100 and 0 percent)..
-9 - Recharge up to 100 percent more than 45 minutes off phone

Calibrate is used to correctly count the processuce battery.. It is imperative to let your phone fully discharge once it even..
If you so unload two hours, the calibration is distorted..
If your battery is damaged..
Have you used the battery application.. If so, redone the calibration without application..
This method in effectiveness for longevity primarily..

( Of even a USB connection distorts the count and increases capacity without being reality.. 30 sec USB from 15% to 30% capacité.. This is a picky subject..)

The screenshots are from my device only. I have flashed L01 images long back when the emui 3.0 was released for it. So it displays as L01, while it is actually L04. I have flashed this on my friend's stock L04 and runs without issues.

Yes it does.
I could get about 24h on one charge,
my usage: gsp for 1.5 hours, calling 1.5 hours, some music, browsing, lots of messaging

version de Miui 6 qui fonctionne sur notre Honor L04 (c'est une version pour L01 mais ca marche), j'ai également mis un petit rapport de bug que j'ai rencontré. je ne sais pas si elle est multilangue d'origine, moi dans le doute j'ai fait la traduction avec Jbart et tout est en francais (sauf les apps Miui chinoise)

With jbart i modify the ROM.
Now it's 99% in French.

- sorry for my bad English, I'm French [and I'm 13]?-
I've learned that Android 6.0.1 is now available for the Idol 3, but only in the US, the problem is that I live in France, so I can't have the update ?. Could someone help me to find a way to get the update ? Or could someone send to me the zip file of the system (so that I can flash it) ? Is that a problem that my phone is a 6045Y (for Europe) and not a 6045I (for the US) if someone send to me the zip ? ?
If no one knows I'll just wait ???

Hello!
We already discussed the matter on a second thread. Our developer managed to make TWRP work with MM and we are looking into creating a backup for everyone.
As for official release,Europe should get MM in the following month or ,in worst care, at the end of August.

Nope,no way. If there was a way,lots of us would already have MM on our phones...
You can try using a vpn ... but i dont know how you can chance the phone variant ....

The OTA is variant specific. VPN won't change that.

No the VPN didn't worked but The Marionette posted the link to download the .zip so I flashed it manually. Bit thanks for your reply! ?
Or you could be patient and wait for the notification of the system update...

Since you seem to be the only person in Portugal than has got an official marshmallow update, would you care to tell us if you phone was carrier unlocked and the specific version?

I got mine at FNAC store and the phone is factory unlocked dual sim 6045k.
ps i sent an email to Alcatel global asking when they would release MM in Portugal and maybe a month later i got it.
