My LG G2 turns off randomly, it seems to happen when I try to make a phone call. i'm on stock Lollipop (it did same before I upgraded it from kitkat, only had the phone about 4 hours) not rooted.
Anyone have this issue or know how to fix it?
Ok obviously no one can help..
So my next question, has anyone has the yellow bloch on the screen, and just left it for a few months and it's been fine just slightly distracting?

My Sprint g2 started randomly rebooting when I turn the screen on through button or knock on.
All I know is that it reboots to the sprint boot screen twice, on the second time the phone starts normally.
It doesn't occur on every screen turn on, just randomly.
I am unable to replicate the reboots since they don't always happen.
How can I diagnose the cause without root?

My problem was caused by a signal monitoring app called SignalCheck.
I uninstalled it and haven't had a reboot since.
Try uninstalling any new apps that you installed around the time that the reboots started.

AT&T LG G2 running stock 4.4.2 (D80020c)
Occasionally, about once a week or so, the phone just restarts itself with no warning.
Is there an Event Viewer type app that would let me see why it is restarting? Running hot maybe?
No issues otherwise. Just strange, and a bit annoying.
Try to shut down LTE.
Hi! I have an LG G2 Verizon version. It isn't my phone. A friend gave it to me asking me to take a look at it. I have quite a bit of experience with android phones, but I've never seen am issue like this. The phone doesn't turn on at all. None of the buttons site any response whatsoever. When plugged into the wall or a computer, it vibrates once, then the red led just blinks, and again, the buttons are not responding at all. If anyone could help, it'd be awesome.
If Did he just get the phone and try to root it and install recovery through an app called freegee if so it is an ongoing problem Verizon might have done something to patch Recovery's or there doing something different a fix will be found when the developer of the app figures out what is causing it there's a thread about it right here

After researching, I thought the same thing, but this phone is not rooted. It's stock.
Hi,
Nexus 4 after my latest upgrade released by Android. I started facing strange problem. whenever I make anycalls my screen turns blank while call is still in progress. I couldn't disconnect from my end neither I get dialer option nor loudspeaker option. It is irritating me a lot. could you do any resolution for this. I tried factory reset as well but couldn't help it.
Hello,
I to have the very same problem. The N4 will even sometimes freeze to the point where I have reboot in order to get it working again. Frustrating though when your trying to end a call and the screen is totally blank, the waiting can vary from a few seconds to approx a minute. I'v also ran into this blank screen syndrome with using the camera, have you ran into this issue to?
Fingers crossed that someone can shed some light on this issue and possibly a fix or get around.
Thanks in advance.
Hi,
Some background. I'm not that good with phones so I will try to explain to the best of my ability.
I have a g2 that was branded att but unlocked. i believe it is the d800.
i turned it into g3 interface a while ago but about a month ago it start getting really really hot when I was playing plants vs. zombies 2. The battery would fully drain in 20-30 mins of playing from 100%.
I thought the game was using a lot of resources so I stopped playing it after I'd been playing for a while.
And then the problems started. Almost anything that I would do would trigger the phone to restart. Sometimes it would shut off and keep on pulling up the LG image over and over again without actually turning back on.
I put the g2 stock att software on and more of the same thing. Phone just freezes even when I do the most simplest task and just keeps on restarting. If i get lucky it restarts back up. If i am not lucky it keeps on rolling the lg logo over and over again.
I'm about ready to give up and get a new phone...Is my battery fuked? Or do you think its software related.
I bought this phone about year and half ago.
