Hi guys
I came from jamal rom v40 s5 port for note 3 on android 4.4.2 and i tried android lollipop resurrection remix and it was great but i decided to return to touchwiz to try s6 port.. i installed it and everything worked fine, except for recording video: when i tried my phone reboot, everytime and also with other application like whatsapp or other camera application.. i can take photos but not video. I tried other rom 5.0 touchwiz and the result is the same, but with aosp rom it works.
what can i do? My friend has the same rom i want to install (dark lord s6 port) and he can take videos so i know that it's my phone's problem. how can i resolve? I want you to know that i can't take video with every touchwiz lollipop rom and every kernel.. i can't understand why
please help me
So I solved it by:
Using Odin 3.11.1
I have already tried Factory reset, wipe cache, wipe dalvik, flashed the latest stock Lolipop or older lollipop with ODin and nothing solved the problem.
So I tried to flash the latest stock lolipop with Odin and marking checked (Auto Reboot , F. Reset Time , Phone EFS clear, Phone Bootloader update).
I suspect that the Phone EFS clear did the trick. It's function is related to the modem and radio of the phone. And clearly the modem has a problem here.
I hope this will help anybody out there having this issue.
This problem happened after trying to flash lollipop using FlashFire app to reserve the root that I had in my previos Android KK 4.4.2.
Phone: Galaxy Note3 N9005 Malaysian

Hello to erveryone,
since my last firmware update (over kies) i´ve got sincere camera issues on my G 900 I running Android 4.4.2.
As you can see it does have problems with colors and ghosting as well as it heavyly laggs.
When in turn HDR on/ off or change mode it seems to work normally again for some seconds and then crashes bag.
What i tried yet:
Upgrade to Android 5.0:
Camera works but Device does not store Wireless Passwords, so this cant be the solution yet
Try other Camera Apps, whipe cache, stop app
No difference at all.
Factory reset
No difference
Does anyone of you have any ideas or the same problem?

I tried that. But then my Wifi does not store any passwords.
Is it possible that all these problems are caused by wrong modem?
This is a SM G900I and im using a modem for a G900F (ANG2, KERNEL_G900FXXU1ANG2).
Unfortunately I dont know where to get the latest modem for the G900I.
As well my LTE is not working here in Germany.
If you get a stock ROM from sammobile dot com for your exact model S5, you should get the correct modem and everything designed for that S5

Okay, I did that. Within this step I upgraded to Android 5.0. My device did not store a single Wifi password, but the camera worked fine. Flashing back to stock 4.4.2 Wifi works fine, but the camera is broken!
Any Idea?
Sounds like Samsung need to fix some bugs
Maybe try a custom ROM, that way if you encounter any problems, you have direct contact with the dev to try and get it fixed
Has anyone successfully downgrade official lollipop 5.0 to official kitkat 4.4? How? Is it safe to do it? Please help [emoji38]
I am quite sure a lot of people have gone back to KitKat from Lollipop, including me. In the course of last one week I have flashed Lollipop at least six times and came back to KK each time. So yes, downgrading is absolutely problem free.
Thank you devil

I would save all your personal data to the PC desktop. Wipe everything ( twice ), and then do a factory reset. Now odin flash back to whatever version of KK OS you want to run. Make sure you use a complete stock .tar firmware ( system/modem/bootloader ) from xda or sammoblie has them. Once you flash back to stock, odin flash it again to make sure everything installs. Then root and reinstall your data. If you do a lot of flashing from lollipop to KK, your going to have to take out the trash every once in while for lack of better words. I do a lot of flashing and end going back to bone stock about once a week, this helps from corrupting vital programs like efs. So in other words there is no magic pill. For more info click my signature the versions of KK might be different but the procedure is the same.

Downgrading official lollipop (XEO) to Kitkat (BTU)
Hello Note 3 users. I would like to ask (maybe someone already tried) to downgrade official (not leaked one with bugs as was mentioned) lollipop to kitkat? My phone originally had BTU kitkat, but I wanted to test lollipop and downloaded one from sammobile (XEO). Flashed as it was described in Sammobile website, everything went well. Rom is working well, but gps takes ages to fix, and only a few satellites. They are always lost while driving. Because of this reason I would like to come back to BTU kitkat again (get gps working normally again and receive future OTA updates). Can I flash Kitkat like it's described in sammobile? Wouldn't I mess the bootloader or something? (XEO Lollipop to BTU Kitkat)
I successfully downgraded from Samsung's official 5.0 to 4.4.2. I wiped the phone first in recovery. Then flashed using Odin version 3.09.
My Note 3 is an SM-N9005.
After receiving the 5.0 update yesterday for my Note 3 (product code XSI) and not liking it very much I will be downgrading again. At least the newer build in the XSI ROM seems more stable than the BTU ROM I tried before but I will still downgrade. One of my favourite apps, Delayed Lock, isn't working on 5.0.
Hello I am new here so bare with me about noobie questions
I have a galaxy s5 g900m which was on stock 4.4.2 KITKAT with root
So i wanted to update to lollipop so I downloaded a stock rom from sammobile with lolipop and flashed with ODIN
Phone boots up fine everything works except for 1 thing
There is no signal- meaning that it shows a signal for a few seconds and losses connection repeat all the time
Tried reflashing and wiping entire phone from recovery with no help
Before the rom flash It worked flawlessly!
Any ideas?

I had this problem as well when I installed Lollipop on my rooted G900F (BTU), I solved it by doing a Factory rest then re-installing the Lillipop rom using Odin and doing the Factory reset again after the second install.
It has been fine ever since
Hi, I'm kind of new to android in general and I'm sorry if I am somehow posting this in the wrong place. I switching through a couple of lollipop roms for the SM-N9006 Note 3 Chinese variant, I found that pretty much every N9005 or N900A works for this phone, but I'm always having issues with the camera recording on these lollipop roms, it either force closes, freezes, or shuts my phone off. I later discovered that my modem needs to be updated to fix this. I tried numerous N9005 firmwares and modems which all gave me some sort of an error on odin, I decided to use to use a N9006 lollipop firmware which successfully flashed. When I checked my baseband number after the phone booted up, it still displays the kitkat baseband and my camcorder still fcs. Could any one provide me with a solution, perhaps an earlier version of the camera app, an unbranded lollipop modem for the note 3, etc?
Thanks in advance
u need to upgrade ur modem from odin and install rom for n900x not N900 or n9005 or u can check note 3 themes and apps u can use camera mod or m9 camera or cm12 camera if u want
How would I update my modem?

Do I need to extract the modem out of the firmware file and reflash it? Or could I just flash one in cwm? Thanks for replying
I fixed it!
Alright peeps, I managed to solve the problem. I first flashed the last Kitkat update for the N9006 from Sammobile, then I just reflashed the lollipop update an now my modem appears updated, video recording works! Thanks for those who took time and looked at this post and those who tried to help me.
I'm not sure..someone please close the thread?
Hi,
i tried to install the [ROM] PopWiz Edge Plus 5.1.1 for the Galaxy S5 SM-G900X Snapdragon [Xposed] [Stable] on my Samsung G900F,
everything was good, but i had no network connection. IEMI was correct and the phone tried to connect.
I flashed the rom with TWRP twice. One time with a normal wipe, the second time with formating the internal storage (so it was a extremely clean install). I restored the EFS folder from an old (working) backup und the modem, without success.
After that i restored my old rom from a nandroid backup. IMEI is still the same but i do have network connection.
Does anybody had the same problem?
I am from Italy, i dont know if this count or not.
Do you have Bootloader and modem from the latest lollipop Rom? If not, download from Sammobile and install it with Odin. Then install an advanced recovery, I recommend you PhilzTouch and then root.
Finally flash Popwiz Rom, in aroma select your model and the lite version. Enjoy your new S6 Edge+ ?
Hope I help you,
Regards
