Take it to be repaired. Seems like a hardware issue.

URGENT HELP NEEDED!My i9000 just died off while charging

Hi all forummers,
I am having a big problem with my Galaxy S i9000, my model is GT-i9000. I have never root or do anything to the phone. Last night, I was just charging the phone as per normal, and when I returned to check my phone, it was off and I thought nothing of it and tried to power on the phone, but it doesn't work at all.
I tried with my USB cable, with another charger, with another battery but all in vain. I tried searching the forum for an answer or at least someone who encountered similar situation like me, but seems like I am the only one with such problem.
My phone can't power on, can't boot up, nothing, it's just a dead phone now.
Like to ask if this is a software or hardware problem, I tried connecting to the ODIN but no response, even my PC can't detect the phone when it's connected.
Can someone please help and advise??
Much appreciated!
try taking out the battery for some 5 minutes or so then put it back and plug the charger but do not turn it on

thanks and I tried, still the same. But funny thing is when I tried to charge it again, I can feel some heat on the battery, meaning actually power did go in but it just cannot power up..
Tasks it to the samsung repairs centre. You're still covered by warranty.

Well make sure the replacement battery has full charge....and retry ...also insert your battery into another phone and check if its chaging....because usually the phone starts up unless the battery has gone bad....if the phone doesn't switch on...I guess its a hardware issue...which I highly doubt....make sure the wall socket is functional as well....these are little things that could be triggering this...so check everything. ..good luck

Note 3 overheating and wont turn on

I recently got a Note 3 from a friend thats purchased a Nexus 6P instead.
Reason being that his note 3 sometimes turns on but overheats and drains the battery within minutes, or it doesnt turn on at all and a weird clicking noise is heard from the speaker.
It also overheats when charging while the phone is off.
He purchased a new battery thinking thats the problem but the same problem persists, now when I got it I was thinking that maybe I can do some more troubleshooting and see if there is a way of fixing it.
Any help is appreciated.

Did you try download mode?
I tried that, problem is that it doesn't turn on, the display is black and only some poping noises can be heard when battery is inserted.
I got it to power up once but it didn't take long for it to drain battery and turn off.

Try to disassemble your phone. Check motherboard. Look for symptoms of short circuit. I`ve got note 3 for 2 years. It`s easy phone to repair.

Okay so I have been experimenting a little with it.
After opening it up I could not find any evidence of water damage or short circuit.
What I have found out so far is.
1. It starts up when plugged in and charging. (after it starts up I can unplug the charger and it stays on just fine.)
2. If I turn it off it won't turn back on again unless plugged in.
3. When on it overheats even when idle and screen off.
4. When charging (even if turned off) it overheats/feels extremely warm to the touch.
5. Vibration doesn't work, but could be my my fault as I removed the motherboard, will have to open it up again and see if I missed something.
The phone has been dropped several times and has some damage although not on the screen, just the sides.
So if I can get it fully working I might just buy a new housing for it.

Flashing stock didn't help, still the same problem.
1. Won't turn on unless plugged in and charging.
2.Overheating.
Any ideas? Thinking it can be the USB port maybe, but would it overheat like that if it was just the port?

let the battery drain all the way to the 0%. ive had same issue few times with my s7 edge it would not respond to any command no matter what i do, then all of the sudded after i didint touch the phone for abouth 6-7 hours i put it on charge again and 0% was shown and started charging.
most probably its a motherboard issue and should be replaced at least in my case

I'm only telling from my experience, untill your battery is 0 it will be like that presuming it has somewhat same issue as mine . Try pressing buttons from time to time it could help to drain battery faster . On second hand market it should not be more then 40-50 euro. Also AliExpress has motherboards but not new, used

R.I.P S7 edge 2016-2019 will be missed
Same thing ! Phone just totally dead.
The same thing just happened to my S7edge today... I think it's a conspiracy so that we are forced to change the phone.
Sad, I liked that phone.
Nothing would work, it started at first a rebooting loop, then suddenly stopped giving any sense of life.
Doesn't show any indication when plugging the charger. nor responsive to any of the rebooting button combinations...
I even had it on stock Rom and never flashed any customer ROM on it or anything.
I think leaving the phone battery to drain as a solution only works if your phone was already on and it just gave a black screen, but it's still on.
But in my case, it was already in a rebooting loop and I suspect it is not even ON anymore, it just went totally off somehow...
So there is no was to know if the battery is draining.
update:
So I left it overnight. In the morning, I connected the charger and indeed it drained to 0% and started being responsive to charging again.
As soon as it charged to 20% I powered it on. It loaded into recovery, giving the no command screen. Then I went on and selected system reboot.
Then it rebooted and Android started, as soon as I tried unlocking it, it froze and started again into an endless rebooting loop until it blacked out again. Now again not responsive.
I will leave it to drain again. Does anyone know what I shall do when it gets to that endless rebooting sequence. It is obvious that Android had a malfunction... not sure what as I didn't do anything new last week..
Is there a way to get it through without factory reset?
Thanks

S7 Edge isn't turning on

Hello.
So, I recently updated my phone 2 days ago for the first time after 2017, and the battery ran out while it was updating, and then it was boot looping and kept getting stuck at 28%.
I decided to reinstall the os on it (I installed the official rom that the phone came with). At first, everything seemed normal until I plugged it and after a while, the led indicator was showing that it was still charging but after I unplugged it from the charger, the light was still on and the screen was completely black and unresponsive.
After a while, the light shut off and after that, it never came on. I tried everything to get it on again: tried hard rebooting, trying to get into recovery, charging with different types of cables and with wireless charging also, basically every combination that came to mind. When I used the wireless charger, it showed that it was charging, but no signs of life on the phone. Samsung support wasn't that much of a help either, they only asked if I used a cable that worked on it and if the phone was water damaged or had any cracks.
Any help will be appreciated!!!

Connect usb (not charger) hold vol- + home + power, release power after 5 sec n continue holding vol- + home . If download mode appears flash phone with same csc firmware. If no downlooad mode probably battery or emmc fault.
