Agreed. Who gives a damn?
If we're all using the same phone, I'd expect everyone to get similar results unless you throw it in the fridge.

Something about 53k in AnTuTu. How did you do up to 65k+?
Hi !
For me as far as i'm concerned, i don't like benchmark,it's useless ...
I habe underclock my 2 big cores (to 960mhz for example) and i prefer to have a better battery life without lagg (for call,sms... facebook...browser...many games .. It's useless to have a performant phone)

Close all apps, let it cool down, airplane mode it, perhaps changes the kernel governer while we're at it. I hit 69k before
This is my best score.

Quadrant is very inaccurate the tests are not up to spec for testing +1Ghz devices accurately.
The reason i say this is due to the fact that the benchmark varies from test to test.
I suggest AnTutu Benchmark.
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.antutu.ABenchMark
It is much more accurate, as the the scores are closely similar time and time again.
The tests are a bit longer
But that is the good thing "accuracy"
It also gives info on each testing stage.
I got 2176 on WB's 007.1 TW rom, BB.67 with custom kernel.

Good, will give it a try but it'd been better if you post this in themes & apps I guess
by the way what scores do you get with this rom in quadrant?

benchmarking
It does not matter what benchmarking utility you use. They all give you a general idea of the performance of your phone. I think the OP just wants to use the tool that gives him the score he wants to see.
In reality the score of any phone using any utility is always relative to the scores of other phones using the same utility.
The thing to focus on is not the actual figures you get back but how your device measures up to other phones using the same benchmark test.

But it's a good comparison between phones after having a average score for each phone. But like you say, the numbers don't mean anything. Everything is personal.

True about benchmark apps but I don't think I think the OP just wants to use the tool that gives him the score he wants to see. What the OP is saying that with this app the difference between each time's score is not much hence why calling it accurate.
To look for a good benchmark is more important if you use a new phone with dual core CPU cos the old benchmarks aren´t optimised for them. I read that CF-Bench is optimised for dual cores and stresses the CPU and not so much the GPU of the phone.
But interesting that it seems that the overclocking have such a huge influence. With the first run (Wolfbreaks CM6 TW007) i had 2800 points with 1152MHz and in the second run with 998MHz 2400 points.
But true....it´s more a interesting gadget than to take it too seriously

It comes down to what you have happening in the background.
If your phone suddenly "for example" decides to fetch data off of 3G or suddenly refreshes the media midway thru the bench then it can effect your score. this is why it's best to do tests when the rom is clean and gone silent. "no background activity" with data disabled.
Benchmarking is used to place the current performance of a device in a certain category.
It's no different from benchmarking PC's.
A whole profession has been built around PC benchmarking with people competing for a first place.
If your score is higher than everyone else you win the competition.

that thing is scale-able across cores (single/multi-cores) and fairly accurate
What apps do you use to run tests? I used quadrant and got a benchmark over 4500 now at 4300 seems jumpy what others are out there?
Quadrant sucks if you want to compare numbers.
If you want something that is quite stable between runs try AnTuTu. You might also try CF-Bench and 0xbench
Yeah AnTuTu and CF-Bench are definitely the most popular.

High Quadrant scores aren't exactly a reliable standard for a ROM being 'good/bad' or 'slow/fast'. I've used CM10 for a few weeks and over 5 runs in a row Quadrant tested 2754, 2330, 2600, 3100 and 2982...
It's nothing more then a short and fast measurement, and the results aren't consistent at all.
I find daily usage of my phone with a smooth, responsive and reliable ROM far more important then the outcome of a few tests that took 1-2 min....

I think Quadrant scores don't mean much. It doesn't really mirror the user experience fluency. It's pretty much just a number.

A high score during a short test doesn't have anything to do with gaming-performance.
Again: quadrant scores are useless when you're talking about overall performance

It is. If you score less than 3000, heavy games like NOVA 3 gets too much laggy and unplayable (In Multiplayer) unless you over clock.
So I'm not saying that CM10/CM9 is useless, I'm only saying that those ROMS are not good for gaming purposes. You guys are taking my words wrongly.

Aside from quadrant scores meaning absolutely nothing, it should probably be noted that this video is done on the T-Mobile USA model, the SGH-T989. Which has an inferior chipset/CPU. So of course the scores are low.
Hello,
The title says all.
I am getting very low benchmark scores.
In geekbench3: 1200 in single core and 2300 in multi core..
AnTuTu: 44506
What i have done to the moto x style:
unlocked bootloader
Installed supersu and xposed.
Factory reset already done.
Performance seems not that bad actually.
But the scores tells me otherwise.

If your performance feels good in real world use, why do you need some benchmark to tell you otherwise?
I am on aicp and put xclark kernel to perfromance and got 48k, before i had it on interactive and hotplug on eco performance. No difference felt how device performed.

I have been using it as my daily,
Only one issue that has caused some concerns is that, if you lose the phone signal and you are on gsm,
it switches to cdma and then acts like you don't have a sim card...It can take reboots and hours for it to
return to gsm. However this hasn't happened to me for 5 days now with the newer builds.
My phone hardly ever heats up much with cm12.1...and I DON"T use any processor tweaks.

I hate apple, but Apple definitely got it right by saying it is not always all about "hardware specs" and it's more of a coexisting relationship between the hardware and software that is more important.
Samsung definitely has the superior hardware, but their ****ty TouchWiz screws it all up

Hi,
arter97 lastest beta kernel with Interactive governor tweaked a bit for better performance (enforced_mode set to 1, min_sample_time, go_hispeed_load and hispeed_freq tweaked) and some VM tweaks (dirty_ratio, dirty_background_ratio, dirty_expire_centisecs, dirty_writeback_centisecs and swapiness), no undervolt.
CPU temp at 25 °C at the beginning...
SkyHigh 2.7 kernel, some tweaks like above without overclock / underclock:
I use the previous Antutu version to compare with my other scores when I test some tweaks (as a baseline), it would be time to update Antutu now

Guys i m sorry to ruin your parade...but any score in red is not a valid one...sorry. When you will get a green score, post that. I could never get above 100.000 green score (max was around 97-98.000 with skyhigh kernel)..the only kernel that gets me over 110.000 is arter kernel and that is known already to have a bug in the UX Section that causes that big score...
score
Every time I'm getting around 80k on stock, which is slightly low i think.
When comparing the stats to the Note 5 at the ranking table its all the same with exception of the 3d score (garden) with my device always getting around 8.3k compared to 12.112 from Note 5 result from the ranking table.
Why do you think my 3d score is low?
Also I don't know if it's related but I have some sort of lag when scrolling through Facebook, YouTube etc...
